Kind of ignoring the RCMP there, and it's certainly not all the same across the U.S. by a long shot.  I live in Houston Texas and just within our general area we have something like 40 different police orgainizations that you're liable to see driving by in a single day from the Texas Highway Patrol, Houston Police, Harris County Constables, Metro Police, Texas Rangers, US Marshalls, the Port Police, DPS, plus campus police for at least a dozen different universities and multiple incorporated town that have their own small Police departments.  Many of them are similar, but many are not, and it's not uncomon to see a Marshal and a Sheriff pulled up alongside the HPD or constables.  I just grabbed a few images to show some of the variety but I hit the load limit at 6 images so I tried to get the widest visual range..    (edit - just noticed that one of them is actually from Virginia, but wa\e have a service that wears an almost identical uniform.)

Mounties don't patrol in the red serge if that's what you're thinking.  Those are dress uniforms only worn on formal occasions and for stuff like the Musical Ride.  What distinguishes RCMP uniforms is a yellow stripe down the pant leg and around the frame.  The various provincial and municipal police departments are different again. 

There's no accounting for every single variation, so as long as it's got some texture options, anything that's not embarrassing would be welcome.  But yeah.  This is definitely a stripper cop uniform.

Unless they first came to Chicago on the trail of the killers of their father and, for reasons that don't need exploring at this juncture, have remained, attached as liaison officer with the Canadian Consulate.

At least part of the issue is likely to be that you use non-default paths and Daz central resets the paths to the defaults. You can check this in DS by going to Edit>Preferences>Content tab, clicking Content Directory manager, and adjusting rhe paths in the current set to whatever you were originally using. Uninstalling and reinstalling does not tocuh settings. If you are using non-default paths, and want to continue doing so, then stick with Install Manager.

That's what I'm lead to believe, I just don't know what the default paths are when I install.
When I do install, I just leave the path as wherever the software is telling me to install to.

So you hadn't made any changes?

Oskarsson has an "Inspector" uniform that autofits adequately to G8F. The tie gets a little wonky, but that can be cleaned up.

Autofit with Male outfits might be best for Genesis 8.

You could try the RSSY Converter over autofit if you have it.

I have never seen police walking around in public on patrol, in Canada and USA, without body armor, but I have not made regular trips in USA west of LA,  AR, MO, IA, and MN. All of the pictures you posted are photo-ops for PR.

I live in the Northeast US and I have never seen a police officer in my town doing their daily grind in full body armor. They all wear vests under their uniform, but I wouldn't count that as full body armor...especially since you can't see it short of them appearing a bit bulkier on top than if they were wearing just their shirt. The reason I used photo ops is that I consider it to be in questionable taste at best to show cops in the process of arresting someone when I don't know the full details of the story, and that's usually the only time you'll see a picture of a police officer.  Go to any police uniform supply shop like https://www.galls.com/ and you'll see most uniforms are available in variants of black, navy, grey, tan and green, and body armor usually consists of a vest that is worn over the exisiting uniform, so the basic color patterns of a uniform won't change... and, of course, they're not going to be wearing armor at all times.   Generally speaking, you'll see city police wearing black, dark blue or grey, while highway and rural focused police are more likely to wear tan, khaki or green, depending on the area, (because a - it doesn't get as hot and b. it's harder to be seen in if you have to hide on the side of the road if someone decides to shoot at you.) In an area like Houston, though, where we have so many different departments all working in such close proximity, there needs to be a way for officers to immediately identify visually which other groups are responding to an incident, hence all the different stripe, hat and color burst variants.

Here it's wildfire season.

No water from the sky here yesterday as forecast and pretty dry for the next 10 days. Getting a bit worried as it's been pretty dry and there is a huge wildfire in California.  We already have 8 fires here in the state of around or more than 1,000 acres. The southern and central parts of the state are considered at a high to extreme fire danger level.   The Mt. Hood National Forest (just east of Portland) is at a high fire dangler level.

Really not looking forward of a repeat of 2017 and 2018.

Hello everyone,
I wanted to reach out on here to explain a recent issue I'm having.
3-4 days ago I was recently asked to update Daz Studio & Daz Central, so I did.
After that, when I opened Daz Studio all of the products in my Content Library no longer showed their respective thumbnail images, instead it was just Grey Icons (see screenshot below).
I also recently purchased some new models and when I tried installing them, I get the infamous "Install Failed!" button. (On Daz Central the button stays at "Install", instead of "Open"
I wanted to make sure it wasn't just the software so I went on my laptop and Daz is working perfectly fine.
On my laptop, I installed the updates and everything's working great, including the new models I recently purchased.

As for my primary desktop workstation, I've tried completely uninstalling Daz Studio and DIM/Daz Central along with all files/folders on my C drive (Appdata/Roaming) and all others.
After that, I would restart my PC and try re-installing Daz Studio via DIM as well as Daz Central (2 separate times after complete uninstall).
I have a suspicion that Daz is not properly installing because when I do manage to open Daz again, not only are my products greyed out non-thumbnail icons, but I can't install any products either.
This issue has now put a major dent in my workflow and would absolutely love if someone may have an answer or at least some suggestions.

Thank you for your reply. Yours is not a stupid question. There are some beginners using DS (compared to a lot of users, that's what I am), I was referring to a problem in viewport and yes, you are right, it was in shaded draw mode. It took me hours to figure out that was the problem. I was just coming on here to say I had solved it.

I rarely have switched between the different viewport modes in using Daz Studio, but I did so inadvertently yesterday and didn't even realize there was a smooth shaded mode where all is grey.  Then noticed that "materials" where not loading. Meanwhile, I thought the problem I was having was to do with the new stuff I was downloading (DS 4.12) and wiht the Daz download methods I had not previously used (Daz Central), so I went on a goose chase till I happened to start clicking through the viewport modes.

In both cases it sounds like the install didn't complete successfully. You need to contact Daz, file a support ticket and explain what is wrong, include the whole log files as attachments. They are likely going to tell you fully uninstall and reinstall.

I think the install was partial and that uninstalling normally doesn't remove everything you need to remove to get an install to work. You're likely going to need someone with access to the full details of the install to work out what is wrong and how to manually fix it.

DazCentral could easily be the issuee. It is new and has had numerous issues. I do not approve pushing out a product in such an early stage of development as the primary source for new users to get assets.

What Feature did you select in your build?
What Ecology did you select inyour build?
Did you get any missing file errors?

TAO was not installed at all, at least in my current directories. it ened up in the mess DAZ Central created. I'm still thinking of totally deleting my DS install, all of it, everything and starting over from scratch.
