Heroes, Heroines and 3D Graphics - July Freebie ContestDorseyland said:ADAM 'n' EVE
IF you can't see it big in the Freepoz, go here and give it a click:
http://dorseyland.deviantart.com/art/Adam-and-Eve-314828857Created with DAZ Studio 3 and Comic Life 2. Not sure if the rules have been broken, but as for the required freebie from Most Digital Creations, my butt is covered.
The plan was to have only the Adam Thwaites freebies that are permanently available, but several of his short-term "Surprise Gifts" sneaked in. (I have so many that I could do several entries using only them.)

:wow:Similar Hair to this?Hello.
I am looking for a similar hair style to this for Michael 4 or any male figure...
http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/5820/wantedhair.png
or something like this...
http://www.comicbookherald.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/Huge-Hair-Wolvy.jpg
The link I found the first image was here,
http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?ViewProduct=72976
But it's no longer for sale. What a pity, because it was a great deal of a price!
I just want a hairstyle that has hair styled into what looks like horns in it.
Can somebody please help me find a hairstyle for male Daz/Poser figures that has that kind of hair style?
Thank you for your time!

http://www.most-digital-creations.com/whiskey_bottle_cigar_props.htmNew DAZ4 install problems.I changed my hard disk, mount the XP 32 new, all the MS updates.... all was fine and speed.
I install Hexagon 2.5, and later DAZ4 Pro.
The problem is that DAZ use 3 diretories:
- documents and settings
- C:
- programsDuring the installation I tried to avoid the document and settings changing this to other one, ( documents and settings was the cause of lot of problems for my old system ) and the C: ( not a clean policy use the root ) to a subfolder of C.
All the installation was fine, I remounted all the characters and components as new, and their installers detected ok the directories that I purpossed instead the defaults. All was right. Only mention that the CONTENT seemed to detect Genesis in a different way as Michael 4 or Victoria 4, putting them in different sections.
Now I have 2 problems:
1- If I try to export an object from Hexagon to DAZ4 it does not nothing. No messages, no action, no traslation. Daz doesn't start.
2- If I try to load an existing scene of DAZ created before this installation, there are errors and the scene is not charged. The log file says a lot of errors about it doesn't find "4_0_2" ... Genesis or "4_0_2" ... Sally Mae.
Before this clean installation of 4, I was using a 4 mounted over an old DAZ3. I don't find in a backup of this that 4_0_2 subfolder, but yes a 3_0 subfolder. I tried to copy all that content ( all the 3_0 subfolder ) but there was not changed. I renamed the 3_0 to 4_0_2. The same. Not changes.
Sugestions please.
Javier.
Monk robe for M4Things like robes don't automatically follow the legs, especially with the older figures like Michael 4. There will be morphs and/or handles (extra bones) for adjusting the drape of the lower robes, you will need to use those.
Hair for Michael 4. Any good selections? Is there any good basic hair selections for Michael 4? I find individual ones you can get but they seem way too overpriced like 17 dollars for one hairstyle. Way to much! I am just after some basic hairstyles for a male for my scenes otherwise they look silly all bald! is there any reasonably priced hair selections you can get in 1 pack? I can never seem to find any. Can anyone recommend anything here? thx.
Military / SWAT Assault Rifle poses for GenesisTimmoth said:... no machine guns or assault rifle Poses? There are the Virago Poses for V5, which involve a certain amount of gun-toting. D.W. Mitchell also has some pose sets, such as Black Ops and M4 Combat for the Gen 4 figures (Victoria 4 and Michael 4). In my experience, Gen 4 poses often apply quite well to Genesis: in some cases, extremities such as hands and feet may go insane, but you can usually resolve that by simply selecting the affected part and applying a reset (Ctrl-E or Cmd-E).
Looking for Metadata file specificationIf anyone (other than me) is interested, attached is a DTD for the metadata XML files (sorry it’s embedded in code tags, but the forum software won’t attach the file). I was derived from some 160 DAZ supplied metadata files, so should be correct given the large sample size. Reasonably well commented.

'Who uses the M4 eyebrows? Just paint it on the skin!' I use the M4 eyebrows, because I'm a lazy git, and I'd rather not have a billion versions of every skin I have... just the original texture and the one I painted the eyebrows off of.
So, yeah. Has anyone done a package of eyebrows for M4?
*looks around* *expects to hear a lot of crickets*
[=EDIT=] So, because somebody else is going to ask about this, eventually... give me links, and I'll stick them up here in the first post.

- ElvisGenesis and 4.5 Changes - A little too excited? Thanks for the heads up, but I know what it takes for a Daz clean re-install, especially for Windows 7 hehe.
I use the uninstallers for everything except the clothing, hair, furniture.
Dump the Daz folder in both Program Files in the root directory.
Dump the Daz Folder (huge one) under the Documents section. Before doing so, always open the recycle bin properties and select for no confirmation and delete right away. For me, it was a 9 minute 10GB dump. Then I reset my Recycle Bin options. Saves time, believe me.
Then I regedit and search for everything Daz. *Note... going into the registry can be dangerous. If you have Bryce, etc, those will pop up to. I manually delete everything related to Daz4 Only. Once clean, I go back and reboot the computer.
Then reinstall. No bits and pieces are found. And yes, it fixed my problem. Now to reinstall my content. To save time and effort, I elected to say goodbye to my Vicky and Michael 4 models. I've had them since Daz 3, I use them rarely now. Might as well save my pennies to get their Genesis equals after I buy up Vicky and Mike 5... and that will take time for me. hehe.

LG your Da' Man. Not Da' Real Man but DA' MAN for creating this render. It qualifies and I will be sending you a PM with the info on the shaders. I know, I know you can't use them just right now but maybe in the future.
Oh and I would have to agree with Dana, Kludge and Music, this one is not a bad render maybe not your greatest but not "bad".

Fitting Genesis clothingTarak said:OK I think I am confusing people here by using the wrong terminology - by V4, I mean Daz4 Pro (Version 4.0.3.47 Pro Edition (32 bit) - which has Auto Fit plugin as part of the package. As I say I think it is something obvious - staring me in the face. I'll chase up the 'Transfer Active Motphs' to see if I'm missing something. Thanks for the feedback.Just for future reference: If you say you are using V4, that is the shorthand for the Victoria 4 model, Michael 4 is known as M4 for obvious reasons, and the other figures have their own shorthand versions too. The software that you are using is called DAZ Studio 4, and it is usually shortened to DS4 or DS4P for the Pro version. The previous version was known as DS3 or DS3A for Advanced.
I hope you got your problems sorted out, but if not, you know where we are.

Beard M4Not a lot of choices for geometry based beards for M4... Pretty much just the venerable Long Beard found here -> http://www.daz3d.com/shop/michael-4-long-beard/
Then there's Jepe's Project Body Hair which utilizes an entire second M4 to form bodyhair/beard: http://www.daz3d.com/shop/jepes-project-m4-body-and-facial-hair/
