Of course these styles and looks are going to be more popular, sell more assets, and vendors are going to want to make more of them. It's the logical thing to do.  

 And the morning came... What looked good in the bar (Shop/promo pics) turned out something else when you loaded her up on your own computer... When you leave out the distractions - Hair, clothing, props, architecture, environment and lighting that are used explicitly to make the character look more appealing, you are often left with bodymorphs that are unrealistic and I'm not talking about the chest alone, head morph that either does the same as the body morph or does very little to change the base geometry and the last aspect, the skin... Even color, like hundreds of other like her... All you get is waste of space and increase in loading times.

At least there are characters like Mabel https://www.daz3d.com/mabel-8 that have something special to add to the gene pool

The bundle discounts were enabled for a single day, and then later for a brief spell. Theya re not currently enabled at all, and were never enabled for the newer bundles.

Yeah, Sharon Tate was a huge icon of the 60's and Jaqueline looks to have been modeled from her... or as they say, "inspired by" (because there are a couple of features I reckon the artist would have sculpted {but didn't} if they wanted a 100% carbon copy of Tate).
I noticed that her resting face (zero morphs) is Sharon tate, but of course when you start using the expression morphs, she'll quickly start looking like Victoria 8.1 because the generic morphs are not based upon Tate's expressions.

 

So Brooke 8.1 is Lena Dunham and Jaqueline 8.1 is Sharon Tate... I wonder who will be next... Clint Eastwood or Denzel Washington?  That would be fun.

I'm aware that this next bit would be so much easier to do in Poser. But I don't have Poser. 

I created a Wrap3 version of my oc for Victoria 4. Initially, I had  to correct a lot of problems in Blender. But when I tried to get the morph to load, I kept getting the "No Deltas for Morph, Skipping load" message. I think I found out what that meant (the geometry had changed so much that it couldn't be converted into a morph by Morph Loader Pro). I was gutted.

So I went back to my third version of the wrap. Except I can't dial the character all of the way up to maximum value, as her tongue pokes through her chin. 

I just wanted to do something different (have a break from G8). Although, I'm starting to wish that I hadn't bothered.

Anyway, does anyone know how do I save this character/morph/dial in Daz Studio?

I want to create a doll like the dolls in clothing stores.

I got the inspiration from the product "Mannequin for G8F" by Tofusan.

My goal is to have different bodyparts witch i can move away from the body.

Working with Blender and daz3d.

 

Head, Upper and Lower torso are geografts. They need each a different G8F figure because of other geografts like tails or gens.

Arms, hands, legs and feet are normal wearables.

 

I cant find a way to do it in just one figure.

 

My biggest problem are the cuts. They get weird destortions when i apply morphs like victoria 8 or other peoples.

I investigated Tofusans product but i couldnt find any differencees.

I tried:

-extra bones (the rotations dont work well anymore)

-i checked the weight maps and the geometry face groups

-i tried with extra fix morphs for my charakter but i dont want to need them. Because there are alot of other figures witch i dont ow.

-i checked the edges and faces in Blender but there was all correct.

 

Hope someone can help. If someone want to test it by him/herself pls send privat massage than i can send the blender or obj files and the already created wearables and geografts.

That would be great. One of the issues I have is the disconnect between the realism of the figures and the lack of realism in the clothing - especially what's released for men. The figures have improved immensely in every aspect since Victoria 3 and Michael 3, looking and moving more and more real. There are some exceptions, but a lot of clothing looks no more realistic than what was available for V4 & M4.

Even though it would make her late for her next gig, El could not resist posing for the camera.

I haven't really found a any one single vendor, as it completely depends on what kind of eyes I'm needing at the time. Mousso figures have nice eyes, though the scleras can be a bit bright (which is an issue with so many eyes in general). There are also some G8 core figures who have really nice eyes...Monique 8 comes to mind. I also tend to use a mish mash...so like for example with this image, I used Mousso eyes with a manual shader adjustment to make them purple in conjunction with the Natural Eyes HD morph - 

For G8.1, I really haven't found any eyes that I like more than the ones that come with the new core figures. I have Michael 8.1, Victoria 8.1, and Torment 8.1 and I just pick one of those eyes for whatever character I'm working on. I purchased a couple 8.1 eye products and I haven't been able to top the eyes that come with those three characters yet.

THIS Bundle is MUCH more to my liking. I really like the Betty Bot outfit.I guess Daz doesn't love me anymore because I got NO Banner!

First, I wanted to say I have been using the Victoria 8.1 character and it's been great! I only have one issue, and I know WHY it happens, but I need to figure out how to correct it.

When I have a scene with Victoria 8.1 and other character(s), the PBR shader on Victoria 8.1 is really REALLY red. I understand that perhaps that's just how skin works and it may well be better than the uber shader, but it's just too different.

Keeping V8.1 and not reverting to V8, how can I either adjust the Victoria 8.1 shader to get rid of the red color so it matches better? I'm okay with switching to uber if need be, but I'd need some hand holding - there are a ton of controls for the shader settings and this is new to me. I just want to keep V8.1 and have her match closer in color to the other characters in the scene.
