New Year, New Sales Thread: Report Issues Here 4 "Reporting Only"
I just purchased the Mesh grabber bundle, but there are some problems, apparently they are present in the product library, but Mesh grabber and Morph editor only have the possibility of manual installation, the file for IM is missing, while for the Mesh grabber rotation add-on there is no file to download, neither manually nor for IM. :(
Genesis 9 broken Foot rotationThat looks like an issue with a character or shape having an adjustment to keep the foot bones aligned with its shape, but the adjustment is being applied even when it isn't needed. Have you recently installed any new characters or morph sets?
Daz 6 installationI've just installed DAZ Studio 6 and as expected it installs alongside my existing DAZ Studio 4.24 installation rather than replacing it.
Before I spend time setting everything up again, I'd like to know if anyone has successfully migrated their custom settings from 4.24 to DS6, and what the recommended approach is.
I'm mainly interested in preserving:
Custom workspace/layout (pane and tab arrangement)
Customized toolbars
Custom actions and buttons
Keyboard shortcuts
General UI preferences and customizationIs there an official or recommended way to transfer these settings to DS6? Is exporting/importing a workspace enough, or do I need to manually copy specific configuration files?
If you've already gone through this process, I'd really appreciate any advice, best practices, or step-by-step instructions.
Thanks in advance!
MarthaError loading Genesis 9 figuresYou likely have installed a character with a morph mistakenly saved with a non-zero default value, so it is applied automatically to all G9 figures.
In order to identify that morph, you can try this:
- load the base G9 in an empty scene, and select it
- zero the figure, and confirm that you actually want to zero it (ie set all values to zero) and not restore it (set all values back to to default)
- check the "currently used" section in the parameters tab: you should see all parameters which have a value different from default there. As the faulty morph has a non-zero value but is currently set to 0 it should appear there.
Once you know which morph it is, check if there's an update for the character, it might have been fixed. If not it's possible to edit the morph settings yourself to fix the default value.

Well I am confused over the repeated "These are morph only" comments. Why? I picked up DUF Joseph and the What's Included in my Product Library lists Joseph All MAT, Joseph Eyes, Joseph Eyelashes, Joseph Skin MAT, & Daz Studio Iray Material Presets. Is this a Cut & Paste error? Guess I should load it and find out.
There are indeed material presets included, but no texture files are listed on the product page. Which means that these material presets most likely apply some of the textures from the Genesis 9 starter essentials pack, not new textures made for the character.
Daz has released a lot of characters with a similar configuration (a new shape + material presets reusing the G9 standard textures) in the past few months.
Thanks for clarifying. Sounds like either a C&P error, carelessness, etc. Daz should probably remove those from the What's Included, but I doubt it'll happen, especially while they're busy fixing new store issues.
I keep hoping Daz won't offer any more of those, or states Shape Only in a more obvious place, like name or beginning of description.
But I got a few most-wanted Outlet items at half off by opting to get the free one, so that was cool.
Question about Zev0's "Skin folds and creases HD" productFor anyone who has bought this product by Zev0, could you possibly tell me if the morphs are "true" HD morphs, or if they function like regular morphs.
What I mean is that, I primarily use Daz to set up models and get them ready for export into Blender, where I do my main work.
But Blender is incapable of properly importing HD morphs. They simply do not work.
So I am wondering if these morphs are actually normal morphs that would work in Blender, and Zev0 just named them HD for marketing purposes, or if they are "true" HD morphs that Blender cannot work with.
I really want to buy this product because I reallyyyy need something like this, and this seems to be the only product I can find that does morph creasing. The alternative is to use normal maps, but that's another headache in of itself.[Released] Turbo Loader for Genesis 9 [Commercial]RiverSoft Art said:

So I tried using Turbo Loader recently to improve my figure loading speed, and unfortunately, it broke my most-used character preset. Basically, in any scene that I have created that contains that character, one of its most important morphs defaults to 0%. According to the logs, the morph itself is loading, but the morph value is not.
Unfortunately, due to the fact that when loading a scene, morphs are loaded and then poses, I can't just load the broken scene and move the morph sliders back to 100% because it will distort the pose. The only way I have found to keep the exact pose is for me to re-create the broken character preset, load a fresh copy into the scene with the broken figure, and then copy the pose from the broken figure to the one with the correct morph. This will take a huge amount of time by reloading the character into every one of my broken scenes.
I tried resetting all the changes made by Turbo Loader using the "Reset Morph Directory" and "Reset Content Directories" buttons, but this did not resolve the issue.
Edit: Also, I haven't re-saved any of the scenes since the issue appeared in hopes that if I didn't save it, the scenes would still be fixable
Have you searched your HDD for *.tlOff files? That is what TL changes the extension to in order to turn off the morph. Reset Content Directories renames all morphs back to their .dsf extension. If you cannot find any .tlOff files, then the scenes should work as far as what TL did.
I did not find any .tlOff files. Is there maybe a cache or something that I need to refresh/empty after I reset all the morphs to their original state? Also, here are the error lines in the log that may help shine a light on things.

Once the .tlOff files are gone, TL effects are gone. Did you install products lately?
Yes, I have installed products lately. I even reinstalled the JP Sandor character in hopes of fixing the issue, but unfortunately, it didn't solve anything.
You need to look at those products then for the problem. The TL shouldn't be the problem once you reverted everything - I don't see how it could. All it does is rename files and you renamed them back. It's possible that re-installing JP Sandor (perhaps it was updated?) between the original TL rename to tlOff could have hurt its installation, e.g., Sandor Original Morph -> TL Sandor Original Morph.tlOff -> Sandor Updated Morph -> overwritten by Sandor Original Morph? Or maybe you tried to do something with the metadata while Sandor was off and the metadata has locked in the idea that those morphs are missing files, which have now been restored? I am reaching here, but the original TL is not in the equation anymore.
Using Turbo Loader's reset function was something I did before reinstalling JP Sandor, so that shouldn't be a factor either. All I know is that before I used Turbo Loader to optimize my morph collection, everything was working fine, and afterward, the character was broken - even in scenes that I saved months before ever installing Turbo Loader. I've been communicating with support, and I'm trying to find out if I can edit the morph values in the DSON files directly to avoid having to reload the character into every single broken scene. *Sigh* Turbo Loader was a promising product, too. It's a shame that fixing the errors that started with it is going to cost me days of work.
I am sorry you are having difficulty. I wish I could help you.
One last question! After messing around with the Victoria chatbot on the Daz3d website, I found out that what is broken is the controller for the morph. Is that a problem you ever see with Turbo Loader? For example, in this case, JP Sandor HD controls two other morphs: JP Sandor Body and JP Sandor Head. JP Sandor HD being set at 100% should influence those other two morphs to be the same value, but it is leaving them at 0%.
With this product, no. (With my character converters, yes, DS has (or maybe had) a bug where it wouldn't find the dependent morph when I saved the controller property, but that is a different thing). Have you tried editing that controller yourself? If it looks like garbage characters in a text editor, that is just the compression. Use 7-zip to open the file (it is just a zip file) and inside that is the actual file to edit.
You mentioned not finding the dependent morph when the controller property is saved - I think that is exactly what is happening to me. When I save a figure with the JP Sandor HD morph then reload the scene, the sub components of the JP Sandor HD controller change from JP Sandor Head and JP Sandor Body to BaseMasculine_head_bs_Head, BaseMasculine_body_bs_Body, and BaseMasculine_figure_ctrl_Character. Does that issue sound familiar?
No, that doesn't. That is strange. Are you saying that the JPSandor Head and Body sliders are missing? or that the controller is moving the base head/body controllers?
The controller is moving the base head/body controllers. The JP Sandor Head and Body sliders are still present, but they are no longer being controlled by the JP Sandor HD slider like they should be.
Edit: I just manually downloaded all the files for the JP Sandor character and compared them to the ones already in my content library. There are a bunch of extra files that are in my already existing folder that aren't in the one I just downloaded. Could it be that those files are older ones that were not in use, but after Turbo Loader changed the name, a conflict was created?

custom character connected JCMs
No postwork, except fixing nipple poking.
Added a second image, that should match the given example more.
(BTW:
I cheated a little bit her, because I have altered the base Genesis 8 Female.duf file, in order to unlock some translate parameters.
Unlocking Z and y translate for collars and x and z translate for the lower abdomen. This is needed for better posing. Limiting the range to 1 and -1 is enough in most cases.)Really interesting !
I wonder how geografts behave with these modifications ?
Mostly, those custom JCMs got projected very well on geografts, but there are most likely cases, that need corrections.
If you do corrections, do not forget to replace and store those projections as morph assets.Freebie Challenge June 2026 - "INVASION!" - Entries ThreadTitle: The Kitchen Invasion

Looks great. What about using morph loader pro and reversing deformations when loading the jcms? Would that not allow you make the changes to the base gen 9 mesh so it works with any character?
In fact not.
If you create JCMs for the base figure, then it might only look great for that base figure.
There is that notorious crack happening on the outside of the hip, when you bend the leg to its extreme.
It tends to look more ugly the shorter your character's legs are designed. The more exterme your character differs from the default figure's look, the more extreme the desgin of the JCMs have to be.
Body volume plays a role as well.
My guess is, that it is more easy to rig and having nicely working JCMs to it with more skinny long leg characters, than with more realistic characters.
That might be another reason why lot's of characters look like elfs and have ultra long legs. There are just not as much mesh distortions to begin with.
I am trying to create my custom JCMs for about 10 years now, and by my experience there just isn't a one solution fits all.
EDIT:
And to prove my point, look at G3, G8 and G9 base figures, who already come with a ton of JCMs, that work quite nicely.
The trouble begins with customizing characters.Correcting for extreme leg bendsLooks great. What about using morph loader pro and reversing deformations when loading the jcms? Would that not allow you make the changes to the base gen 9 mesh so it works with any character?

they are base textures but there is some layered image mixing and you will find in D|S the ones under the sufaces tab are in your DAZ temp folder and will vanish after closing the app

BJ Cycles - Cycles Renderer in Daz StudioMaybe do the Kickstarter thing instead. that way if it falls through, the money gets returned and there are no hard feelings. Or do the Patreon route, but maybe also create some other exclusive content for Patreon subscribers, so each month maybe they get something little, a item of clothing, a texture add on, a character morph, whatever, as well as ongoing funding of your plug-in. This might be more than you want to handle though, but I'm just throwing ideas out there. Or it could be a new better way to support all your content. I know there are a few niche Daz creators on Patreon that do very well. Could be something to look into.
Very confused about new "game ready pack"To be fair it takes some time/experience/domain knowledge to recognize how Daz products show a bunch of things in the promo images when the product itself is generally a tiny subset of that. Especially character morphs, the promo images often establish an identity through clothes, hair, and environmental context, and some of that identity is lost when all you get is the morph.
Chromatica (Daz Dragon 3 Retexture project)BELATED UPDATE! I've been busy with work and haven't had the energy, but here's a few more test renders with the finished blue morph (I'm naming this blue dragon Flynn lol, she gives me Flynn vibes) I'm working on a non marked blue version and working on a brown color morph and planning on the following
- purple
- White
- Black
- Orange
- Yellow
- Cyan/Teal
- maybe make some piebald LIEs for them perhaps?
Formatting on mobile is. An experience

I honestly didn't really understand these game-ready characters, so I just downloaded a single free one in DUF format to test it out. I chose Phillip because his clothing and hairstyle looked like they would blend perfectly into the scene as a background character.
However, after installing the product, he didn't come with any clothes or hair at all. On top of that, the character itself looks completely different from the store preview—he is a Black character in my setup. I'm really confused right now. I ended up getting something totally different from what I expected.
I have repeatedly pointed out the G9 duf is just a morph and the FBX you should have picked up at the same time with the code has clothing
but since I have in fact posted this repeatedly in several threads and people still are confused
I have concluded I shouldn't bother explaining anything to anybody and just enjoy my free stuff and subsequent outlet store disounts myself
amd since you didn't add an FBX or GLB to your cart, you won't get that either
