New Cat?
They're OK but the fur not great. Hopefully the Cat 8 will have better fur & if that's the cast you likely won't see as good a fur made fo MilCats.
...I've had the mesh distort on what would be "normal" cat poses that are not even as extreme as the ones I posted at the beginning of this thread.
Wasn't all that thrilled by look of the Hivewire offering. Something about it just doesn't look "right" to me.
I've seen the Hivewire cat & dogs & like the milcat & mildog better.
Same here but why isn't there a kitten morph for the MilCat? My quick attempt here but I guess I made the eyes too big, it looks more like a toony Cheshire Cat LOL.

Oh, I love your attempt at a kitten. You should share it on shareCG or here.
Really??? I think it looks kind of silly myself LOL. Looks more like a toon Cheshire Cat to me, but if anyone wants the preset, PM me...
I PMed you, thanks! That cat makes me laugh.
Is it possible to combine a pre-existing model with FaceGen face?Well the overall shape & size of the skull, if you've paid attention to DAZ 3D standard human models doesn't change and that's a big shortcoming of DAZ models. Foreheads look particularly low and skull cases too small and narrow.
FaceGen just superimposes the face geometry from the brow ridge to the lower jaw and doesn't do much with the temple or above the browline.
You will need products like RareStone's G8F / G8M Face Morphs to adjust the temple, forhead, and other areas after applying a facegen morph to be more accurate.

I know of no morph products that allow for a lot of systematic changes to the cranium which can be quite varied.
Is it possible to combine a pre-existing model with FaceGen face?3. Yes Facegen head morphs can be applied independently of body morphs.
I understand it is if I apply the Facegen face to a base G3F (for example) and after that I can apply only body morphs (or vice versa). But what if I decide to apply the FaceGen face to a preset model? Do I have to slide each head morph to 0% oe there is some other faster (and lazier) way?
It sounds like you want to use the skin from an existing character with a headmorph created in Facegen. The easiest way to do that is to load a base G3F, then check the G3F/Characters and G3F/Materials folders for the skin you want to use, apply it, then dial up the Facegen morph to your heart's content.
Please note that Facegen dials tend to look cartoony at 80%+, and myself and some other users feel that it's better to only dial them up to 70% or less, and use morph shaping kits to get your character the rest of the way to what you need.
Dialing a Facegen character only part way up and doing the same with an existing character can be a good way to come up with a less symmetric, more natural looking face.

Is it possible to combine a pre-existing model with FaceGen face?Facegen creates head morphs that behave the same as any other head morph.
1. You would see the same blending behavior as you would with mixing any head morphs.
2. DAZ doesn't blend textures. You either have one map or another. If you want to blend textures you would want to blend them in an external image editing app.
3. Yes Facegen head morphs can be applied independently of body morphs.
Crushing/flattening effect on models?Rames44 just told me about this morph: https://sharecg.com/v/86616/view/21/DAZ-Studio/Clothes-Hanging-Morph It's free but for G3F. It doesn't change the head, it was designed to be a work-around for hanging clothes.
New Cat?Meow! I want a Meow with latest technology!
edit my Mum’s friend Misty has a cute face. Maybe if the new kitty could have a morph (and textures) to look like Misty
Mollytabby's Art WorkshopGirl With The Ribbon In Her Hair
I picked up Lyonness's Boom Chica Morphs HD for Genesis 8 Female this week. This is my first test using Morph 1 head and body settings.

Is there a new improved daz studio on the horizonDaz studio is where All of the things actually reside that make genesis so superior a 3D figure platform
( Full SubD levels & joint control morphs and morph based facial expressions ,auto lipsynch one click clothing hair and skin changing etc)Trying to re create all of this with a base res FBX rig exported to another app for every man ,woman, child and alien creature in a movie project, is a bloody ridiculous undertaking IMHO.
Daz Studio used to be the only place where we could take advantage of all that Genesis offers. Not anymore. Now Maya offers 99% of that (minus HD morphs) by means of a Daz plugin, and soon others will chime in. I have even heard at least one user that got the new Genesis 8 for Maya plugin to work with C4D. If it works for C4D, perhaps it works for Max too. At any rate, Victoria has been let loose from her beach house and we should be seeing good things in the future.
Crushing/flattening effect on models? As if they were crushed by a heavy object.
I know that sounds a bit morbid, but it's something that I have been looking into. However, I can't see to get it just right. Using hidden perimeters to play around with individual X, Y, or Z scales works only if the model is left in their default T-pose; moving any limb will cause it to stretch out, perhaps to infinity (and beyond).
The d-Former, unless I'm doing something wrong, seems to only work on the model itself, not any hair or clothing attached to them. And the flattening effect also seems to move with limb as well if they are turned rather than maintaining it in place. Is there a way to get this desired effect, either in the program or with a morph or add-on?
O.T. (repost) It's the 30th Anniversary of 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit'!
As promised, a render of Jessica, performing at the "Ink & Paint" club.
I used the "Red Rabbit" dress and hair upon V4 with the "Girl" head morph as 75 percent and shrunken just a tad. The stage is the old Plat' Club "Deco Club" interior.
Sincerely,
Bill
really good

[Released] Assembly Line Pose Automation Kit [Commercial]Niight this today still figuring it out, finally figured out how to transfer the morphs from G3F to G8F, it kept failing till I changed it to continue on error instead of stopping on error so hopefully that will turn out good, need to read more of the manual to hopefully figure out more of the settings and how to split up the poses, i honestly didn’t realize this existed until I seen it in the description for Look at Me so went to check it out so once it went on sale with the mermaid stuff I added it to the cart and seen some other things I want from your store lol
Thank you VERY MUCH for your support.
Are you running this on non-categorized items? The Copy Categories to File action can fail in that case. What does the log say (on the Log tab)?[Released] Assembly Line Pose Automation Kit [Commercial]Bought this today still figuring it out, finally figured out how to transfer the morphs from G3F to G8F, it kept failing till I changed it to continue on error instead of stopping on error so hopefully that will turn out good, need to read more of the manual to hopefully figure out more of the settings and how to split up the poses, i honestly didn’t realize this existed until I seen it in the description for Look at Me so went to check it out so once it went on sale with the mermaid stuff I added it to the cart and seen some other things I want from your store lol
Hanging Clothes on a Hook or HangerGot it, haven't tried it yet but here's the link in case it helps somebody else. http://www.sharecg.com/v/86616/gallery/21/DAZ-Studio/Clothes-Hanging-Morph
Thanks again!
Is there a new improved daz studio on the horizon"iClone is a pretty decent product, but I noticed your pipeline brings
you right back to Daz Studio. I wonder why?"
No need to wonder.
Iclone is where I create my ,realtime exportable Human IK character motion Data.Much like the way people use motionbuilder
(sans the monthly income grab or time limited "student license")
Daz studio is where All of the things actually reside that make genesis so superior a 3D figure platform
Iclone also exports directly to Alembic without the 3DXchange app

If the New Figure line in Iclone Character creator 3 Looks as Good aswe hope, I may Migrate to them but we shall see.
At any rate you are generally correct My good sir.
wether the Future of character animation is with Reallusion or Autodesk or some other app the fact remains that the future IS in animation.
Daz has succeded in getting their figure content recognized
as a viable solution outside of the tiny, limited world of still image gallery art & illustration.dog 8 dog 8 woof woof we finally have a dog 8There are over 300 recognized dog breeds. Maybe give the PAs some slack to cover more ground. ;)
Well, I'm still hoping for a traditional Chinese Foo Dog morph.

I wonder if the Victoria Birthday sale interrupted the dog sale.... Hopelly there will be new breeds and a Growing Up version and a huge morph set like what Rarestone, Handspan/Thorne and some other PAs do for characters. And lots more furs! Now that I got the dog, maybe I will try creating some furs in Photoshop. I was really hoping we could get animals based off of G8 like the hedgehog so we could use G8 clothes. If someone could make a hedgehog from G8, why couldn't they have made a full animal set???
dog 8 dog 8 woof woof we finally have a dog 8Bring on the bullys....not a single bully breed morph or texture? Really?
