I also purchased item TOA Ryder for Genesis 3 Female yesterday.  I can not install via DAZ Central, DAZ Install Manager nor manual download. I tried again today with DAZ Central and it was a no go. So I decided to try a manual download once again. However the item no longer appears on this website's store. So I can not post a link to the item.

I can't be sure, of course, but this may be related to a pre-store-migration problem with TOA Ryder for Genesis 3 Females. Apparently, it got updated for some reason on October 7. However, the people who saw the update couldn't download, and I couldn't see the update at all and never got notice from DIM that an update was available.

Going to the product library now and trying to download manually gets the following page/codes:

    code

    "not_found"
message "File with such name does not exist."
    status 404

I purchased TOA Divine G3F in 2017. I just looked up the product in DIM and it showed no updates. The package file is from 2015.

The problem is with TOA Ryder, not Divine.

I went to my product library page for the product and downloaded the zip file to open in my Zip client. It failed the first time, but completed downloading after I told the browser to resume the download. It opened without errors in WinZip. I checked the date on each and every file/folder. While some were older, from 2014, most of the dates were between June 15 and June 26, 2015. As far as I can tell, there are no updates to this file, and the "updated for some reason on October 7" was probably a glitch.

So in Product Library, third problem- the link is going to whatever product you happen to have directly above it. They are both indented and operating under the link of the higher on the page one.

My issue there is entirely different; the link in the product library to dForce Augmentation Outfit is completely dead. Clicking on it doesn't bring up a page in the product library at all. It also has some weird capitalization going on in the Products list as well: "DForce" instead of "dForce" and "Genesis 8 Female(S)" instead of "Genesis 8 Female(s)" as it is in the store. I wonder if maybe those changes mean that somewhere behind the scenes, Product Library just can't find the file because of that.

... One little positive thing: I didn't get a single download failed on my order today so that is positive at least.

Meanwhile I can't get Channen Hair (55161) to download for the life of me. I've tried upwards of 50 times.

Lots of other things have been going very, very slowly and sometimes needing multiple attempts due to download failures.

This is the first time in the last few days that I didn't get a single download failed, the days before I have had one or two failed ones, and a few of those with no ability at all to downoad, not in DIM or manually. I opened a ticket about one of them and didn't get a reply about it, but it worked yesterday so you might want to submit one. It was such a relief to not have to go through the crazy clicking to downloading a file over and over again. But a big dissapointment about the missing order confirmations sad.

I am so, so annoyed about the missing receipt emails. Especially since that's the only way we can keep track of how much we actually spent per item, courtesy of the asinine way in which orders are recorded in our Order History.

If it doesn't sort itself out by the time I get home from doing the grocery shopping, which takes longer these days since I'm doing it for multiple households (because plague), I'll be putting a ticket in. The amount of nonsense that we've had to put up with during the past week has been astronomical, and while download issues predate the changeover, they are certainly not helping matters now.

Besides being the only source of information on how much I actually spent on an item, now that the order number is missing from my product descrption page doing a search of emails is the only way I can fidn the order and date for my purchase. All this information is especially important in case I might want to return an item.

It took them a goodly amount of time and a lot of angry shouting to bring that information back the first time, too. And now they've nuked it again with absolutely no word, at least that I've seen, about putting it back again.

One wonders if this isn't intentional. That was floated the last time it happened, and the DAZ monkeys flew in insisting that no, no of course it wasn't intentional and there's no plan to force everyone toward Central even though that's what was heavily advertised in place of the sacrificed information.

Except here we are again, no SKU or Order #. It was like they decided that we could either have that info OR the product info, but not both.

I've just taken to putting N/A in the relevant fields and the slightly more formal equivalent of "can't look that up for you 'cause DAZ has made certain we don't have adequate access to that information anymore, sowwy~ UwU" into the description of my tickets.

  • Can someone explain this?

Yesterday, I purchased over a dozen packages. Two of them refused to download and install. I tried DAZ Central, DIM and doing it manually. I was going to open up a trouble ticket this weekend. Today I purchased a few more packages and installed them via DIM. I just clicked the install button and ... the two packages that failed to download and install yesterday went through successfully.

I'm happy that it worked but why were all attempts yesterday failing?

I don't see how it would affect DAZ studio if using DIM or manually downloads

its only those using Connect and possibly DAZ central that would be affected or if you let it phone home by being signed in

  • Self-Inflicted Wound, hit uninstall button on DIM :(

Uninstalled many, many product packages before I realized what I had done and cleared/stopped.

    sad

do you delete your zips after installation?

if not it's easy to reverse

I delete in the interests of storage.  :(

More insult to injury, I am getting the DIM download failures  sad

Make sure the DIM is in the correct file path to your new drive download location, Setting DAZ up on a drive that isn't C can be a bit of an issue, when manually installing files from other sites like Render Erotica these files have to be placed in the library directly, can be done in a few area's of the studio also means you can have multiple files in several locations duplicating, so what i mean is you can load those files in with your other content in the manual file section or you can create whole new directories depending how much you want to sit there and data base all day doing this fiddily boring shit catagorizing products in file trees: "'l'll leave that one for the DAZ people" . The Dim and DAZ Central content usually installs in a seperate area from the manually installed library, some content instore doesn't fully load all materials via the DIM or Central so you might have to manually extract and install those files for all props & shaders to show up, Gets annoying when you have 1000's of different items some of them need to be fully unpacked manually because someone didn't install all materials via the other two installations.

Update the DIM, reinstall the file maybe.

on the 1st of Nov 2020 i noticed the DIM and all file servers where having issues, it took me two hours at one stage to download a 700 mb file which shouldn't take more then 5 minutes on my high speed connection. I then begain having issues using Internet Explorer as they changed the webpage with the store front not displaying products and links were not working, Someone here suggested i change browser, that worked for me. Since then i have had no issues with the Dim downloading files but there has been some issues with DAZ central not displaying all icons for products installed which most have fixed, now,  DAZ Central only hosting the more smart content with the DIM that manages the older content like V4 and M4 and a few other file types that don't display in Daz Central because they are an old format or haven't been loaded into the new Central format.

Conformation emails take longer to proccess but they do arrive in my inbox.

  • DAZ Central No Longer Working???

    Hi,

I have been trying to download new content via Daz Central, but it appears to be stuck in "loading" mode. I have tried everything from
rebooting my computer to reinstalling it. Normally, it pops right open and I see all my content. Now, my content doesn't
show and it is still trying to load. Do you have any suggestions?

I chose this bundle as my starter bundle gift: https://www.daz3d.com/ophelia-7-starter-bundle using the code: SPECIAL-GIFT and it worked but I can't download it, no DIM link, the link to manual download leads to the product library with just the bundle page, without the individual products in it an no download link. Has this been reported? do I need to submit a ticket about it? And I didn't get a confirmation email this time either.

There is no link to daz central either, just manual download to a product page with no link at all. No way to download it.

Typically the bundles don't include any products in them themselves to download, the downloadable items are in the products included in the bundle.

the bundle is like the box that the goodies come in,   so the only thing you may find lurking in the empty bundle(box) is a cat. Possibly no even your own cat.

Or possibly a dead cat if its owner is named Schrödinger.
