Celebrity Look-a-Likes for 3D figures Part 2
Im looking for options for Gal Gadot morph in G8F or V4
any suggestions?
Check the list above for CS04. Morphs for both G3F and G8F. There is one for V4 called Speedgirl. Just Google 'Speedgirl For V4' and you should find it (WW costumes are there as well)
Need help with "Interactive License"Thank you @chohole for your reply.
I realized but I see people selling or using Daz models in (for) Games and i wonder if Daz no longer sell developer license then how they using it. where can I get one? (for selling or using in games)
english is my sec language so I sometime dont get the correct meaning of them (google them sometimes)
thanks
What kind of games? If is a game made with sequences of renders like point and click and pass from one render to another render is completely different from what you want to make. Take a model, morph it, and after resell it for use like you explain as far as I know is not allowed. Instead, as far as I know if you want to make a render of this and sell you can.
SereneNight's Sci-Fi Fun Thread 2I looked at the leg morphs I have installed. Its actually a bit on the sad side. I have 8 total male leg morphs. The rest are weird like alien legs, and they don't count.
I do have a bow legged morph, which came with PHX Dan, I think.
I like it when Pa's make some morphs loadable separate, but they don't do that often in the DAZ store.
Don't know if it would help here, but Zev0 has a Body Mixer that splits the Daz Body Morphs into upper and lower parts: https://www.daz3d.com/body-mixer-for-genesis-3-and-8-male
There's also X-Morphs, which is supposed to allow you to determine where to split a morph https://www.daz3d.com/x-morphs
So it should theoretically be possible to, say, make a separate morph for Ronen's legs that you can use with any male character. Theoretically.I picked up X-Morphs during the PA sale (a very deep sale, because that is expensive), but haven't had any chance to do anything with them yet. I don't have the Body Mixer.
Altern8 Girl 8 (Released) [Commercial]Got it. So the rest of the Face Shape presets are one-click only, or do they have ERC morph dials?
The rest are one click Shape Presets - but of course, they can be adjusted with the sliders in the Shaping Tab. :)
Diomede's Notepad, Sketchpad, and Chilling Pad- Then, just like the boots example above, I exported the brows and gautee as an obj file at correct scale.
- I loaded them in Daz Studi, and used the transfer utility to convrt them to conforming figures.
- I loaded them on G8M with mysilly toon elf full body morph applied.
- I made sure to check reverse shape in the transfer utiliy.
More work to do, especiallywith shaders and light, but feel like this was significant progress.
Diomede's Notepad, Sketchpad, and Chilling PadIn general, I've tried to keep modeling posts software agnostic. However, this workflow ceates hair content for Daz Studio from Carrara's dynamic hair and a free plugin.
- Loaded G8M in Carrara using Misty's character at 'rosity. Dialed the full body morph for my custom character (and loaded my recent toon elf outfit for the forum TOS).
- I dragged the hair icon from the top menu on to the "actor" of the G8M group.
- A menu comes up. For now, I accepted the defaults. In the future, may show some useful options.
- The G8M mesh appears in the hair modeling room with my FBM applied.
Altern8 Girl 8 (Released) [Commercial]Got it. So the rest of the Face Shape presets are one-click only, or do they have ERC morph dials?

Vladmir 8I got the base figure and the HD morph and I like him generally, however, other than Ollie and Floyd and maaaayyybe Edward, I can't help but feel that this generation's men lack character. Ivan had character. This one? Not so much unfortunately....

SereneNight's Sci-Fi Fun Thread 2I quite like the action shot... think of the impact, if wearing 3d glasses
I might add, that wet floor is a health and safety issue. As for legs, that's the one complaint my boys all agree with - their thighs are huge. Would be nice to see https://www.daz3d.com/body-morph-kit-for-genesis-8-male in action.
All things The Witcher...Hello, I've been working on an Adda morph. I took images of Adda from the game into FaceGen to give me a starting point, then moved that into Hexagon. If interested I need some help I don't know how to save out just a head morph to share, I tried some tests but they all failed. The texture I'm using is Godin's Darla which I think is spot on; so to get my exact results you would need to buy the Godin character for skins. I'm just trying to figure out how to share my custom head morph. Important, I need to run the morph through morph_fixer_64bit to clean up the eyebals and teeth becuase FaceGen destorted them all to crap. My morph is not using other morphs, FaceGen with some cleanup in Hexagon, one solid slider to control it. I have Xmorphs but have not tried to use it yet, would that help in saving out a shareable morph?
I've started the crown (still unfinished) the hair is LongStory Hair. I will be making all her clothing too.
MimicMolly's Renders & WIPs@IceDragonArt I agree with the G2Ms, they were great. I would buy a legacy morph pack (no textures) of them if it were available.
SereneNight's Sci-Fi Fun Thread 2The legs tend to look the same. I'd like to see a sort of 'bike rider's leg' and some better defined knee caps. Somethign so that if you looked at two different charactesr their lakes would both look great, but sufficiently different to be able to tell them apart.
I have been using Shape Shift and Musculature for most of that sort of thing. I have a vague nebulous memory of someone mentioning morphs like the knee cap -- maybe the SY 200 Morphs at ShareCG? (I also have a vague memory of someone mentioning that they had come up with something that fixes the tricep flex issue -- it flexes when you flex the bicep, which it shouldn't -- and can't think of what that was.)
EDIT: SF-Design's Body Morph Kit for G8M has knee bones and knee cap morphs: https://www.daz3d.com/body-morph-kit-for-genesis-8-male
Oh, wow, just noticed Predatron's Fir Trees aren't in the store anymore. Unless its called something different....
I guess they must have stopped selling well. There are other fir trees by Merlin and Andrey Pestyakov that are newer, so maybe those are what people are using. Predatron still has lots of stuff in the store, at least, so it wasn't a vendor cull.
SereneNight's Sci-Fi Fun Thread 2So, having studied the morphs for G8M, I seem to have a fair lack of good leg morphs. I have tons of morphs for body parts, but unless I Want to dial in an entire character, I think the guys legs look rather Same-y. Does anyone have any leg morph recs?
I guess the question is, what do you want the leg morphs to do? When I've tinkered with them, these days, I use a combination of Shape Shift and Musculature HD. I thought about also getting the Muscularity Morphs, but that seemed like I'd have a lot of morphs with duplicate names. Haven't tried any of the SF-Design morph sets, but those might help as well.
New plugin: Phong tessellation and displacementmebbe?, a mthod to save a hd morph from the plugin ds to a disp map ?
I'm working on the subject. I think you can expect something in 3 or 4 weeks from now.

Altern8 Girl 8 (Released) [Commercial]Lotsa stuff in here! I have Girl 8, but if I use her, I dial out the toon and try to keep the cute. But I liked the way the 15 different face morphs changed Girl 8, and I thought, "Wow, I wish I had morphs like that for non-toon characters." And then I get to the promo image with the face morphs applied to G8F, and I must say, they really do the trick. Far too many full face morph sets do so little to G8F that she still just looks like another version of her vanilla base self, but these morphs---each of them---give a fairly distinct personality to G8F, and I think they would be just what I need when my dial twisting needs that one extra je ne sais quoi to make the character look real/complete.
Please post the promo image with Faces 8-15 on G8F; so I can salivate some more.
The Altern8 Girl 8 product has seven full face morphs - those are shown on the G8F promo. The rest of the Face Shape Presets are mixes of the different morphs to give different shaping presets and face shapes.
I'm glad you like what you see so far! We had a lot of fun making this and hope that it's something others have fun with as well! :)
Where is Ophelia 8?Official line characters are not repeated in every generation. Many of the characters of Genesis 1 did not make a return in Genesis 2, and the same is true for later generations. So, if you get to see a specifically named "Ophelia 8" at all is uncertain. And even if it will come, no one knows except for DAZ, and they are not likely to spill the beans.
You wouldn't happen to know the most detailed muscular hd add on for Genesis 8 Female?
These morph packs should allow you to add muscles and vascular to any Genesis 8 female character.
Musculature HD Morphs for Genesis 8 Female
https://www.daz3d.com/musculature-hd-morphs-for-genesis-8-femaleVascular products. (I beleive for these to show up you will need to render. So to test after you apply them render your scene.)
Add Some Veins HD for Genesis 8
https://www.daz3d.com/add-some-veins-hd-for-genesis-8Vascularity HD for Genesis 8 Female and Male
https://www.daz3d.com/vascularity-hd-for-genesis-8-female-and-maleUnfortunately those don't provide the same detail as Ophelia 7's HD muscular definition add-on.
I'm looking for a Genesis 8 character that has this kind of HD-Add on detail:
https://www.daz3d.com/ophelia-7-hd-add-on

I can't find any Genesis 8 figure with that kind of HD detail.
(Please limit images to a width of 800 px. It will avoid stretching. ~Mod)

Shape Shift has some leg morphs. I don't own the G8 version, though.
Worried that my sense of what looks "right" will become warpedWell, i've messed with FaceGen Artist Pro and even though technically the geometry it creates for the face with good pictures are 90%+ correct I've never just glanced at a render of a model created in FaceGen Artist Pro and had that instant recognition of who the intended person was. Now that maybe partly me too because I'm not liable to recognize people unexpectedly out of context from where I am used to seeing them many times.
Some people I know visited a wax museum recently and took pictures with some very famous people done in wax statues. I was very surprised I didn't recognize most of them despite being very familiar with who those famous people were. FaceGen and DAZ Studio was as good or better so I'm guessing that had to do with texture sets used were better than the wax skin of the statues regarding similarity to the actual person. Skin & skin texture = number one point of emphasis for a good likeness.
So there is no neutral except if you sculpt the grey model the geometry should be the intended person. Ever notice how difficult it is sometimes to recognize a sculpture of even famous people? The only qualification I would use is with a quick glance do you get that feeling of instant recognition of someone you know or know of? If not, you have more work to do. FaceGen Artist Pro and Headshop and similar products aside to get an instant recognizable face in DAZ Studio you most times will need to create your own textures for the FaceGen Artist Pro morph and maybe you will even need to do a bt of extra sculpting of the face and skull 2nd. 3rd, you may need to create custom hair.
So that 'commonality' you are noticing is folk using the same skin texture sets and same hair and same clothing on all their renders and the same light sets. Even quite huge changes in geometry will be overridden by people noticing skin color and texture 1st and geometry second. People look at skin to judge health and as complex as it is, recognition of a person. In contrast, the geometry of the face and skull is much less data to process for recognition than all the geometry and color of the skin itself and also typically not indicative of immediate health problems.
All the recognization is independent of 'style' though - the style can be realistic or it can be multiple styles or toon or artistic abstraction styles - you need a knack of emphasizing artistically what people are apt to instictively notice about a unique person.
Is Poser worth it?If DAZ can do everything that Poser does, why do I need Poser?
I'm not sure that DAZ does have everything that Poser does, at least, not without some plug-ins. However, the question is one only you can answer. Which software does what you want to do in the way that you want to do it?
I personally prefer the Poser interface and find it much easier to work with. I like the material room and how it works and have a large library of non-photorealistic materials to help create illustrations, along with the purspose made sketch designer. The multi-pass rendering is another feature I find helpful. Character creation is also helped by some of the game-dev tools, allowing me to merge clothing and models into single figures, while reducing the poly-count and deleting hidden polys altogether. Also, the morph brush is particularly good feature.
