I'm glad to help!, I do that way because when you add more props they appears on the center of all, moving your MAIN character far from scene center and all your assets will be forced to move too, thus, sometimes buying Pose packs moves all your character to center.
Scale and Distant ObjectsThis one looks better, even thought the horizon is still a little too high. However at this time of day a photograph including a person would have a much larger aperture and much less DOF. The scale of the tower looks fine to my eyes in both.
This one is the "correct" scale one.

I personally prefer this one. The last 3 months I've learned more about camera work than in the last 40+ years... More advice is welcome!

Daz Studio 4.14 Pro, General Release!Applications are normally not installed to the root of the C: drive ( C:\Daz 3D\... ). For a 64 bit application I would expect it to be in C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\...
Daz Central does that to keep everything together, and so that the end user can specify the drive to use without having to worry about specific paths. Advanced users who are willing to set up the various paths should continue to sue Install Manager.
Oh! That is so nice, I wish I had known - I would have spent more time playing with Daz Central, as it is I just rebuilt my entire installation a couple of weeks ago to clean out cruft (I'd decided to put the output of the wardrobe/etc converters into a separate installation tree - not my tree and not "My DAZ 3D Library".)
In my case everything which is regularly written that I could move via the configuration files has been moved but I left the programs in C:\ because that's an NVMe RAID file system (the two NVMe slots on an ASUS motherboard) and so program paging is fast.

Re-install Studio from DIM or the standalone installer and check your library locations. Make sure your DIM setup (if you use it) is still intact, Central is known for messing with it, especially if you use non-standard locations.
Caveat: From the splash screen it looks like the OP is using DS 4.12. Unless they have a saved installer for it, reinstalling now with either DIM or manual download will install the upgraded version (DS 4.14).
Right. I always have that backup, so I assume everyone else does, too. Haven't installed the new version, so I didn't think of it. If the OP didn't have a backup, it's too late for that, anyway.
Changing Studio versions won't disrput previous saved scenes unless your contents paths are different with the Studio update. The Studio update shouldn't change content paths either.
Could be that Central mucked it up, from what I've read. (Note: @fastbike just put plain text after the @ for the auto-notification. Forum software will generate the code)

Login FailureFor the valid PostgreSQL message - try going into the edit preferences in Daz Studio and make sure that D/S has the correct path for where it has installed itself.
As I recall, for the sign-in issues, you need to have added the account(s) to DIM. Then select the account you want opened, then at that popup you can put in the email address and corresponding password for the account.
I have uninstalled DIM so can't give you screenshots.Sorry, but give us an example of this path because before 4.1.4 I usually set my DIM path on my external drive where all my stuff is. Now with all this DAZ Central fanfare, when you configure DIM and then open DAZ Central, then you get another kind of unintelligible configuration.

I uninstall from DAZ Central this DAZ Studio 4.1.4 and try to install the PB version from DIM but, after putting my username & password, just nothing happen.
I'm installing in a iMac 21.5 late 2013, 2.9GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5, 8GB-RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GT 750 1GB, Mac OS CATALINA.

Installed Daz Central, stuff broken and slow - how to revert back?Does it reset any settings or adds new ones I need to change? Like the Display Optimization before, where you had to set it to best to increase overall speed. Like if I change a slider, it lags for a moment.
God, why the fuck did I do this update? Everytime I hit render, it instantly goes to "close" instead of cancel render and don't have a picture rendered.
What would be the best way to revert back without breaking everything?
Edit: It now renders, updated my graphic card drivers, but still runs like crap in the viewport so not sure if there are more settings I need to change. Would probably prefer to revert back still.
? Daz Central doesn't render anything. If you don't like Daz Central uninstall it.
Daz Studio does renders. If you don't like the update you need to have saved the installation folders for the previous edition. Uninstall 4.14 and reinstall 4.12 [or whichever].

Im new here. I wanted to try 3d rendering.
And here is my problem. I cannot login in DAZ Studio. And i cannot see assets. I have no problem loging into DIM or DAZ Central. I've found a lot of threads about 'PostgreSQL CMS' Error. And i've done it all.
I've unistalled Antivirus software , Switched off firewall. Reinstalled Daz Studio , Reinstalled PostgreSQL , changed port in CMS settings.

daz central wil install content to your daz [Studio] installation.

Also noticed that the "sku" is still the "name" lowercased instead of the actual SKU. And the "ordered_at" and "order_id" fields are wrong/null.

It's not enough to ask just about the time zone. There's the Daylight Savings Time (DST) vs. Standard Time (ST) question. So 08:00 for me in Florida is not always the "same time" for Puerto Rico or parts of Southern Indiana, because neither of those places is in my time zone. I'm in Eastern, while PR is in Atlantic, and the "toe" of Indiana is in Central). And to make things even more brain-tourquingly difficult, only Eastern observes DST. That "twang" you just heard was your brain's mainspring popping out. Better go find it!
And then when you throw in the fact that some people STILL think "Midnight" belongs to the prior day (the old "Zulu Time" on Wednesday, for example, would be considered Wednesday NIGHT at 24:00, instead of Thursday Morning at 00:00 as it would be today).
It's a wonder that any human ever figured out how to measure time, let alone tell what time it is. And feeding and clothing ours ourselves, and going potty without needing help. It's amazing.
