AIUTO...CHI CONOSCE L’ITALIANO? PARTE TREDICI
Una domanda..
Quante figure originali ci sono per DAZ (niente character derivati da morph) oltre ai vari Genesis (G1, G2M, G2F, G3M, G3F, G8M, G8F, G8.1M e G8.1F) ?
Al momento ho trovato per i maschi:
- David 3
EDIT: Navigando ho trovato i seguenti:
- Posette
- Millennium Woman (sarebbe Victoria 1)
- Stephanie
- Millenium Girls / Boys / Kids / Baby
Ma di tutti trovo solo link morti al sito DAZ.. qualcuno ce li ha ?

Crazy people using old figures, LOL

It's funny, I started with Victoria 3 and then V4 and on and on to GF8.1. I was HEAVILY invested into V4, so getting on the genesis bandwagon took some doing, but once I did and transferred my fav V4 characters over there was no looking back. I was real big on using my older V4 skins on G3 and G8, but after doing so for a bit, and even using some converters, like anagenssis I realized how bad they looked in iray compared to the higher quality, newer iray skins, so i gave up on that idea.
I have to say like you when I first started with DS it was V3 then V4 etc etc ,I really like Genesis 8 ,not planning on moving on to Genesis 8.1 ,because from what I've seen ,8.1 could have been added to 8 and still been able to use all the same stuff as 8 ,but so could the changes that turned 3 into 8 .iRay is all well and good if you are going for realism ,but I'm not ,I still am trying to make 3DL do what I want ,I still like some of the characters from the older generations and if I can move them up I will ,that way they'll have the lower poly count but still be what I want .Also to be honest there seems to be fewer freebie creators and some people can't afford to keep moving up and ignoring their older content ....... that being said I have put this and SickleYield's on my wishlist

Yep. I agree. Much as it pains me to have to re-invest in new generations, eventually I do. Not immediately - I usually wait until the products start appearing at good discounts. I have only just made the move from G3M to G8M but I switched to G8F long ago and don't use any previous generations.
If the next generation comes out with a body mesh that behaves like real flesh, I will start over again. I mean physics, collision, folds and creases. I just hope that I don't have to start over with the wardrobe too.

Who is this female figure in this product?Looks like a Victoria 8.1 with another skin (1st picture), maybe some Victoria 7 for Victoria 8 head dialed in.
Tara 2 HD for Victoria7 & Victoria8 broken. When you uninstall a product, the metadata is not really deleted from the database, it is just deactivated since the product is not installed. If you had made custom categories, for example, they would be empty when you uninstalled the product, but would be restored as it was if you re-installed it later. To completely clear the metadata from the system, with the product uninstalled, go to the Products view in Content Library.
Under Products - T, go to the bottom of the list and you should find an entry for "Tara 2 HD for Victoria 7 & Victoria 8" as a greyed-out User folder icon with no thumbnail that says "Install Tara 2 HD for Victoria 7 & Victoria 8".
Right-click on it (in the list) and select Delete. Wait a moment and the list will refresh and kick you back to the top level. This will clear any remaining metadata associated with that product. Try installing again and see if it works properly.
Refreshing metadata from DIM or with Content DB Maintenance should do the same thing, but, clean slate, and all that.
Smart Content for G8F Goneit happen to me too, but luckily is because a product that I installed. it was "ball joint doll to genesis 8". so I uninstalled it and also reinstall michael and victoria 8 essential starter.
Tara 2 HD for Victoria7 & Victoria8 broken.Yeah, after downloading & installing the approx. 1.2 Gb product through DIM and firing up Daz 4.10 to test it, I find that it doesn't appear anywhere in Smart Content. Nothing. How long has this product been out now? https://www.daz3d.com/tara-2-hd-for-victoria-7-victoria-8
When I go to the Content Library tab and check in "Products", it appears grayed out. I check in C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\My Daz 3D Library\Runtime\Textures\KayleyssAD\Characters\Genesis8Female and the "Tara2" folder is there and has all of the textures there(afaik).
I load up Genesis 8 female base out of curiosity and click on the Shaping tab and Tara 2 morph dials for the head and body are there & work. Nevertheless, NONE of the material presets are available, nor the horns, etc. So what's going on here?
Just a FYI, in case this could be part of the issue, I do have Tara 8 already installed prior to installing Tara 2. I also rechecked DIM to make sure there wasn't an update that I had missed for the product.
Thank you Sickleyield for Aiko 3 and Hiro 3 Clones for Genesis 8@RCTSpanky That Idol Outfit for A3 looks great on Sakura 8... nice job! I love the clone products too, as they help a lot with using the older outfits.
Here's the Sickleyield (SY) clone product links for those who are interested:

https://www.daz3d.com/sy-genesis-8-clones-for-genesis-3How Would One Create A Manually Installable Product? (Search Engines Suck)So yeah, I tried searching on Bing (because I have the MS Rewards extension on Chrome) for this and it came up with something completely different, as usual. What I mean by product is stuff that can go in the content library with DSON User Files and DAZ Scripts and PNGs and morphs and positioning and all the other good stuff. For example, a body prop like body hair. I want to make my own customized content. If I were making let's say chest hair and wanted it in the proper position on the chest instead of on the ground like a regular OBJ Import is like or different textures and material presets so I don't have to manually change everything every time I use it on a new figure. Or custom characters with textures and morphs like a Michael 8 or Victoria 8.
Thank you Sickleyield for Aiko 3 and Hiro 3 Clones for Genesis 8I started using DAZ Studio when Michael and Victoria 4 had already taken the reins. But Generation 3 was still present for a long time. Especially for Aiko 3 there were (and still are) a large number of great imaginative outfits. And now, thanks to a script, you should be able to put them on the Genesis 8 figures without any problems?
I was skeptical at first if it really works that Genesis 8 characters can wear Aiko and Hiro 3's old clothes. But the script was on sale when it was released and I bought it.
One of my favorite outfits for Aiko 3 was the "Idol" freebie set. That was going to be my test candidate.
So I loaded Sakura 8 and dressed her in the Idol outfit, starting with the panties, stockings, blouse and dress and ending with the cap. And WOW!!! The result is more than convincing. Everything fits without problems. The pose I created only after I put on Sakura. and no distortions, no poke-trough ... perfect.

I just want to say 'Thank you' to Sickleyield for her "Aiko 3 and Hiro 3 Clones for Genesis 8". The Michael and Victoria 3 Clones are on my wishlist (waiting for another sale) and I hope for David, the Freak and Stephanie 3 Clones too.
ASL Handshape PosesThere's these as well:
Head Injury Bandage?I don't have these, but would expect them to autofit reasonably well: https://www.daz3d.com/bandage-bundle-for-victoria-4
Worth looking out for the next time there's a good sale on V4 stuff.

I think the fine hairs belong to Victoria.Yeah, it's become increasingly annoying how many of the advertised "special features" of the recent DAZ figure lines are failing to come as standard issue even on DAZ's own in-house products. Coupled with how unflattering the promotional images have become, and the increasing inclusion of old products and completely unrelated items in the bundles, and it really gives the impression that, behind the scenes, everything is getting very slap-dash and thrown together.
Unrelated is obviously a matter of taste, but the increasing inclusion of older items in the bundles is certainly not true that I can see.

How to best organize my library starting from scratch?I use multiple runtimes in DS personally. I have about 20 on average, and hook and unhook them as necessary (I keep content sets so it's quick). You can install directly to these libraries from DIM as well. The setup takes a little bit, but it's worth it. I have separate runtimes for Base Genesis, Base Figures (Victoria, Michael, Aiko, etc), Characters (I actually have about 5 runtimes for characters), My Products (stuff I've made in my Daz store), Hair, Clothes, Environments, Props, Lights, etc, etc, etc. Freebies from other places get their own library as well as products bought elsewhere. I also make very liberal use of link files.
Noska 8.1Skipped over Alex Capital, but picked up Noska. There's some colours in her skin I really like, and the sculpt of the legs and torso was interesting.
Not enjoying the arm sculpt, particularly the forearm anatomy that has a pancakey kind of flatness I'm having trouble posing. I might just need to play around a bit more. With the eyes the lacrimal area and tear line seem a little flimsy but it is not bothering me enough that I would return her.

Heavy makeup.

With Kayo and some new toys.

With Jinx

And you sure you have version 1.3 of the product?
I do have version 1.3. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling xtransfer with DIM. I still get the same result. I noticed the transfer process can complete with G3 female based morphs, but the G8 female morph is distorted. I still get the resource error message at 85%, but I can click OK and the processs completes.
G3 morphs that are Victoria 7 based tend to get a resource error message that freezes the transfer at 85% and I can't complete the process. The G8 morph under this situation is more distorted than the above situation.
