How to prevent this when rigging.

I find it easier in C8.1 if you have it C8.5 is triax and a pain in the bum
I just cannot

otherwise C7

unfortunately I only have the Car 8.5 otherwise no Carrara version. Is there a guide that addresses the issue. I'm at the very beginning I don't know what to look for. Or is it better to switch to DS rigging there and then importing to Carrara.
looking for Tutorial Ivy generatorI think there was also a video tutorial, maybe I was wrong there too.
There is also a standalone version that I like (http://ivy-generator.com/) There you can see and control how it grows. Unfortunately, the tool is older and in 32-bit so that it no longer works on Mac, not even on Mojave. very bad. But you can still use it on the Windows emulation. But maybe something exists on another site or has been further developed.
there's just a lot of trial and error with the script that's in Carrara. The results are very nice but a lot of coincidence. Maybe there is a further development ;)
Edit: I found Version 1.3 for mac it Works fine :)Dartanbeck's Journey - CG FilmmakingHopefully, yes! :)
I hope that my Carrara family (or anyone else for that matter) doesn't get the notion that I'm dropping Carrara, but I'll be taking a different look at things this next time around.
Busy testing and rendering, rendering and testing... having a lot of fun - albiet one tidbit of hours at a time.
Great to see you, my friend!
CARRARA CHALLENGE #64: Old egypt..... WIPYet One More Freebie - Egyptian Collared Dress for G2F
Same issue - the shader texture maps are missing. This is just a static prop dress that fits the default G2F. You can use VWD on it as is. If so, I recommend 'nailing' the collar in place. You could also import it into that free plugin, Daz Studio, and use the transfer utility to make it a conforming figure. You could even use Carrara's softbody physics.
See attched zip file in next post with the music pic.
Dartanbeck's Journey - CG FilmmakingFor Carrara, Daz Studio has an abundance of tools to add beneficial treatments to our figures that we bring in.
Genesis 9 Coming Soon! Preorder Victoria 9 HD Todaythkx by the way in other thread (think it was G8 relevance vs new G9), where you posted about Carrara and bullet physics. My previous post was so long, that forgot to thank you for that. Was a good tidbit. Never knew that being still fairly new to DAZ (less than 4 years).

This was done from general online maps, but I bet the actual elevation data is available somewhere. I brought some maps of egypt into an image editor and began converting to some crude heightmaps. I also created a graident from the bottom to the top so that the highlands would be in the south and the lowlands in the delta.
In Carrara, I inserted a terrain model. I deleted the default mountain generator. I then imported the heightmaps I made in my image editor. I stacked 6. I also used an erosion filter, rain, set extremely low. Perhaps 0.3% effect and 30% smoothing.
I then used a layer's list shader on the terrain so that I could apply different shaders to the river, the fertile lands near the river, and the high desert to the east and west. The oceans are just planes colored blue.
CARRARA CHALLENGE #64: Old egypt..... WIPFreebie
A while ago, I made a Carrara dynamic hair freebie in an ancient Egyptian style.
You can find it at ShareCG. Maybe someone can put it to good use.

CARRARA CHALLENGE #64: Old egypt..... WIP@Khoe. Good choice of theme. I will be thinking of ideas.
Carrara forum people, here is some inspiration from 90 years ago. While 90 years ago may seem like a lot, we are closer in time to Cleopatra than she was to the building of the pyramids. Now that is a long time ago!
Enjoy some classic Boris Karloff and be inspired.

Bernardo would be envious.
I only watched the first part but will catch the rest later.
Makes me wonder what else is hidden in the deep recesses of your imagination. Definitely creates a dark mood - sound track is great.
I had no part in that besides supplying prompts which were various instruments of torture in a dungeon, the AI is responsible
that's why I would be culpible if I did a Carrara version (have DAZ torture instruments and dungeon)CARRARA CHALLENGE #64: Old egypt..... WIPYour challenge is to do a render/animation of Old Egypt inspired scene.

I have a walk through for using MD to create clothing for Genesis 1 in my Art Studio thread. It is really for Genesis 9 in Studio but it also applied to genesis 1 in Carrara.
It starts here. https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/7729546/#Comment_7729546
The announced Genesis 9 will be using a unigender base mesh similar to how Genesis 1 was structured. As a result, I am revisiting my workflow for Genesis 1, which is fully compatible with Carrara. I have an old version of Marvelous Designer from before they went subscription so you might have to adjust depending on which verison you use, or if you get a 30 day trial of the newest version. In the last test for DForce, just substitute the VWD 'nail' function for setting the DForce dynamic to zero and should get similar results.
Announcing the Challenge 64#:Remember 'The Joke is on Me?'
my weird crashBrian,
Thanks for the suggestions, although I haven't gotten far enough to try to render anything yet, so QuickTime isn't the issue. I'm not sure about what Mojave can and can't do with QuickTime, since I have already with Mojave rendered several videos as QuickTime files in After Effects and Premiere, with no issue. But in Carrara, I usually use TIFF image sequences.

well , ....which kind of Freebie is it ?? Thanx
my weird crashI run Carrara on two different Macs withput the problems you mentioned. I would check a couple of things. It sounds like a display issue. Check and maybe change your settings for OpenGL. Also try changing the display settings in the Assemble room. Mojave does not support Quicktime. It's 32 bit. Make sure that you don't have Quicktime Movie set in the Render room. That always crashes Carrara for me. I hope that helps.

One of the interesting features of AI image generators like Stable Diffusion, Midjourney and DALL-E is that they can take other images as inputs, and generate new images that are more or less based on those input images. I've been playing with Stable Diffusion to 'remix' some of my 3D art, and the results are quite intriguing. Attached are some examples: the original of the armored soldier was made with Carrara, the woman with DAZ Studio, and the city with Vue.
One amusing thing is that Stable Diffusion is quite careful not to create anything risqué: notice how the Stable Diffusion woman has modestly covered up, compared to her DAZ Studio original.
Share your own remixes?
Great examples.
Did you run Stable Diffusion on your own computer or on line?
I have heard that to run Stable Diffusion on the computer, one need to have at least 12 GB of VRAM on the graphics card.
I run it locally, more is always better, and you get going from 6GB onward (there are a few settings you can set for low VRAM)
Ok, thanks. My graphics card has 8 GB of VRAM.
