It is not, I think, recommended - though with soem things (e.g. ExP morph sets for the fourth geenation Daz figures) you don't have any choice but to mix the DIM and manual installs.

Connect (the "cloud" install) does still place the files on your drive - in \Data\cloud in the Connect diectory - rather than fetching them remotely on each use and it doesn't depend on a live connection.

Looks like Toulouse Hair, it comes free with Genesis 1, 2, 3, and 8 Female starter essentials, search your product library if you don't have it installed.  Dial the morph "Lower Neck Short" to 100% and "Side Bend More" to -100% to get it syled that way.

I once had apprehension about mining cards, but then you have to think logically. Not only are miners generally running mid tier (1060-1070), but they also down clock for max efficiency, so they are in fact not running so hot. And running 24/7 isn't really an issue because the card is not stopping and starting constantly. Its not heating and cooling frequently. Its being run at an even level. Gamers Nexus did a video where they tested a 1060 that one of the staff had used to mine almost all the time for 2 years. The card ran every benchmark with results that matched the card's spec as new. Temps also were inline with expectation. The card showed no signs of any degradation. Steve also covered that subject, and generally didn't have any reservation about buying a used card, even one that had been mining.

I haven't bought a new card since the start of the century, and I've had zero issues with this strategy. Actually, how many people have bought used GPUs that crapped out on them? I can't recall many people telling such a story. You are more likely to read people buying a new card that is dead on arrival. As long as you aren't buying from questionable sellers you should not see an issue. Pretty much every seller I bought from was selling to upgrade, and not a large volume seller. But they had sold a variety of items and had good ratings. And all 1080ti's are still within 3 year manufacturer warranty as long as the company allows warranties to transfer. Many do. Some people really just want to get rid of their card, and will under sell it to sell quickly.

I grabbed a 970 for $150 at a time when they were selling for $300 new (this was before the mining boom.) That was a pretty unbeatable price. And last month I got a 1080ti for just over $500. That's a darn good deal. It still has 2 years of warranty, so if something does happen I'm good. Its EVGA, and they are known for solid warranty support, and they do allow warranty transfers. Some sellers are actually being honest and disclosing they used a card for mining. Which, BTW, EVGA will even honor warranty claims on cards used for mining.

But if you are hardcore against used, I wont stop you. Its your choice after all.

I bought Sweet Feet for the G3F and applied it to this character. I don't know what happened but the toes got 7 kinds of messed up and look like hell. I don't blame the product, I've used it before and it works fine. I'm sure I did something but I don't know how to undo it. There isn't a Zero Pose in the product folder. I have selected the feet and then restore selected item and this picture is how it turned out. I spent a great deal of time tweaking this character from the head down so she represent the type of character I need. Does anyone know how I can reset the feet "back to factory settings" without losing the character?

Any help would be appreciated.

There is an error in the script, which affects both the female and male versions of the product.  The transfer rigging-figure space step is not happening in the script (except for footwear).  Fixing this DRAMATICALLY improves gloves, bodysuits, anything on the extremities of the figures.  The reason why it's noticable for males compared to the females product is that G8 male has large shoulders and arms, placed higher up, than Genesis.  The shape difference with the arms/shoulders of G8 Female is substantially less.  We are doing some internal testing right now.  If it pans out, I will post the fix immediately as it looks like it is only one file and you would need the products to use it and then submit an official patch for Daz.  You will need to reconvert shirts with arms, gloves, and bodysuits.  I apologize for the error.

I appreciate the many attempts to follow up and help, but at this point I'm just too lazy, it was starting to feel like actual work and I don't know even how to generate a log (I'm not that technical).  But I have several other computers that I don't use for this, so I just decided to use one of my Win7 laptops that has never been used for rendering, did a fresh install of Studio, Genesis1, Stephanie 5, as well as the character in question, installed X-morphs, and looks like it's working fine.  I'll just save out the morph from there and get it to my primary render workstation via thumbdrive.  :)

If I can transfer g8m to g9m then yes... If not then no.. I have too much invested in G8Males...  I seriously doubt there will be enough improvements to justify the expense... I may be wrong so time will tell

Got both on release day, and converted the Santa baby outfit, will try to transfer to my phone and upload them today, been spending too Much time transferring data off one of my failing hard drives I haven’t hardly been on studio or much of anything else aside from work and the hard drive, it seems to work great, I still cannot get shoes and boots to convert over well so need to work on those, they seem to go for but the legs are too far apart for the footwear :/

It should be working with the footwear.  The script and conformers push/pull the clothing items so that they fit where G8 is.

Complaint: Newsletter says "Get a free puppy!"  But nowhere is there any details.  Is it really free, or is it a bonus if you buy something?  Is it Puppy 8 or Mil Puppy (which I already have)?  Banner says "Details Here", but there is nothing on the page that leads to about the puppy.  Nothing!

okay so I stopped the render I was working on to try this and the Basic suit doesn't show as a clothing item even after resaving ,the Supersuit does show up But it is not a good conversion .....arms hands are off in that they are slightly behind G8M arms and hands same with the torso .......BUT!! I tried something else have you just tried using auto fit for the Super Suit? I went ahead since the conversion  didn't work and tried Autofit on G8M The Brute for an extreme figure ...and got this hope it helps

I don't have the supersuit but I have Octavius which has gloves.  Interestingly, the morphing for the female does a better job than the morphing for the male, on the gloves at least.  I will ask Sickleyield about this.  Perhaps she can tweak the morph to get better results.

It looks like it is a problem with the script.  I will look into it this weekend.
