  • DAZ Central loading forever / not working

    I can't get past this problem.  I've tried reloading Daz Central several times.  Every time I launch it, it hangs on "loading".  Is there any help for this?

    You may need to opena  support ticket, though there's always the hope that they will be able to find an underlying issue that will fix it for all those affected.

  • 4.14 crashing

    Logging in with your browser of Central/Install manager should be no problem - as far as I know - but theer do seem to be some oddities following the store software change that may throw errors if DS itself is allowed to connect (from the Connect menu, but it may be worth checking the update checks and the improvement programme (if you opted in to that) just in case they are an issue. I have update checks and, I think, the improvement programme on and haven't had major crashes - but with all the froum activity recently I also haven't been doing that much with DS.

  • DAZ Central loading forever / not working

  • DAZ Studio a complete breakdown.

    Can anyone help with this please?  I tried to update DAZ to 4.14 yesterday but everything seemed to go wrong. After the update some new products I had bought would not install but they did show on both DIM and DAZ Central.(SKU 19404 was one product, old rowboat) When I loaded a figure it came onto the workspace totally white as if bathed in intense light and with a harsh shadow. I tried to sort this out for myself without success, even tried a factory reset, no luck. What I have now is as you see in the attached pic. So, before I delete DAZ altogether I thought I would appeal for help and guidance to the forum. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

    Now it works again..... however i cant have it install stuff on my C: Drive so i will try to change the installation path in daz central again... wish me luck frown

  • DAZ Studio communication to server failed

    People have been reporting issues logging in, mainly with DIM/Daz central but it would not be altogether surprising if Connect was affected (though I don't believe they use the same servers).

  • Why is Daz Tech Support so bad?

    At the same time somebody find the time to develop Daz Central instead of fixing the existing download managers.

    Daz Central which is a new source of issues.

     

    The QA team of The Sims 4 is also very busy there is still a ton of things to fix 6 years later, I'm not surprised that Daz Tech support is overwhelmed.

    Even the PAs take a long time to fix their stuff.

     

    SickleYield didn't fix the too long path of several products (more than 255 characters, 1 year old ticket)

  • Do Over . . how to uninstall so I can reinstall 4.9

    We had the same problem. You need to clear out app data

    Uninstall daz

    uninstall DIM/central
    **this next part is commonly why things are not fixed or reoccur or go to the wrong drive or location**

    Remove the hidden files and stored info from: 

    • C:\Users\Your Username\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D (this is different based on where it was created on the drive example, C may be E ect)
    • Remove anything DAZ from here
    • Reboot after this
    • Reinstall everything fresh

  • Installing keeps failing?

    I'm having a similar problem, DAZ Central just hangs after starting, with a spinning "LOADING" animation. I've tried re-installing, lots of other things. It affects multiple machines, the old one that's too slow (but worked until yesterday) and the new one that I just got yesterday. Looking at the logs, it seems that it's logging into my account correctly, but then complains of a syntax error in one of the JSON files it's downloading. I think DAZ's server is serving up a dud file; IOW, it's broken on their end.

    I've also trick DIM, but I get the same problem, and a similar error in the logs. I don't think there's any hope of it being fixed before Monday. I filled out a trouble ticket, and got a message that they have a 4-6 week backlog. I'm a newb at this, and regretting choosing DAZ studio already. If they really take 4-6 weeks to get to looking at it, I'll have already asked my credit card company to reverse the charges for my Black Friday purchases.

    Several people have reported issues using both Daz Central and Install Manager today, it is possible that what you are seeing is part of that problem. If so I am afraid I do not have any information on when it will be resolved, though Daz is working on the download issues with its service provider.

  • Files Not Downloading in Install manager

    It seems likely the CMS is down. Both the DIM and Daz Central are not responding, all content is inaccessible. It is also likely that there is no one at Daz to fix it until Monday. They are home for Thanksgiving weekend. Very bad not having someone there to ensure systems are running during the Black Friday shopping weekend. This could cost someone thier job.
    I know I'm irritated.

    This is not universal, however - I just logged into DIM and downloaded four updated products. As for theer being no one on, the person in charge of the web features was on and posting earlier. I appreciate that this is deeply frustrating for those who can't log on at all, or who can log on but whose downloads fail - however, the fact that it is not a universal issue makes it much harder to track down, and much harder to tell whether a fix has worked; it's not the answer you want to hear or that daz wants to give, but I can only ask you to exercise patience and perhaps try again after a while (especially in the wee small hours, US or European time, if that's an option).

  • Managing my libraries

    Do multiple libraries have content isntalled by Install Manager/Daz Central? If not then, as long as the folder that they use iss till available, you can simply merge the folders - everything else uses relative paths. If you have used different destinations for DIM/Daz Central over time, and still have the content isntalled, then you will need to update the destination path in DIM, select everything in the Installed tab, and then right-click and choose the option to reinstall all selected using the current path - I'm not sure if Daz Central has an equivalent feature.

    You shoukld be able to set a base path in Daz Central's options; for the non-beta there should be a stand-alone isntaller on the product page; use DIM as normal https://www.daz3d.com/get_install_manager/

  • Valentino 8 slowly installing during render

    If an item is greyed out when you've installed it trhough DIM it may be that PostgreSQL was closed when you installed - that can happen if you close DS and immediately open DIM (or, I assume, Daz Central). There's no need to close DS to use the installers (except with the application itself and plug-ins), but if you do make sure that the one has fully closed before starting the other; for now, I would reisntall the product through DIM - otherwise you will end up with two sets of files if you double-click to install through DS.

  • Daz Studio 4.14 Pro, General Release!

    I saved a copy of 4.5 and as I was having so much trouble with 1.14 I uninstalled it. When I installed 4.5 however it opens as 1.14 and Im back where I started. They have this control thing where they have changed the rules and we are stuck with it. I cant go back to working as I used to at all.  This update is sticky,laggy and crashes a lot. I am very upset that Daz has taken all our money and given us a new crap version so they can keep tabs on whoever is using it. They should call it Daz Control instead of daz central. It only works in their favour,this way they can monitor all the different bridges and assets going out ,but we are left with something that doesnt even do what it used to do!

    If you install through DIM, put it in offline mode, place the old zips in its Downloads folder, delete the .dsx files that have the same name in the Downloads folder (not the ones in the Manifests folder), and install. If DIM is online it will see and use the newer version (because DIM does work normally fro instaling DS updates still - any issues are down to external factors, possibly with the servers or perhaps account or security software issues).

  • Need Help Starting Over With DAZ -- SOLVED!

    I haven't tried these instructions out yet as besides that I was first waiting for a reply from the Help desk - I've not has a reply in 2 weeks - I have some questions, but just for now there's one key one:
    Re Instruction 7 above, how does one install Daz Studio on an external drive without going via Daz Central? I've twice tried installing DS itself but I always get taken to Daz Central which automatically installs on the C Drive and doesn't give options for an alternative path.

  • Daz Central, DIM, and Downloading, Closed Doors on Black Friday Weekend.

    I have got to say, after seeing all the posts in the last 2 days about CMS failing, This has got to be the biggest mess up ever..... Absolutly no download and install capabilities during the biggest sales days of the year. People with new computers trying to port over thier content only to find total frustration. Someone is going to get fired for this.... Support is going to be overwelmed and your customer service is in an unfortunate condition. You've got some really angry customers, and I am one them. I have purchased thousands of dollars in content and I can't access anything. I'm fuming.
