  • Unreal Engine rolls out Real Time Ray Tracing

Heh, well CC3 forums are really quiet, but to be honest, I don't really
know what to talk about in there. I mean, for me CC3 is just a pitstop,
where I transfer my Daz characters to a more game friendly format and then
I move on to other programs where the real work is done.

Actually that is exactly the purpose for which the program was designed.

A content conversion utility for use in game dev pipelines.
hence Zero interest from the poser users
whom ( like their Daz studio contemporaries)
largely create still illustrations and pinups
    Not Animation for video Games

As far as I can tell, IRay has been a blunder for Reallusionindecision
very little interest or discussion , in the forums, about rendering animation
with a unidirectional ,brute force, path tracer with not even a dedicated hair shader.

I have no idea why there even is Iray plugin, since what's the point of rendering there without any environments, poses etc when obvisously it's just a character creator program. I check their forums quite often to see what they are planning, and I like their 2019 roadmap, but I just don't have much to say there...

glad it gets used by.others than me i'll hesitate.less to add hats to my renders, it's part of the plan to make spring begin before March 21 by the way.

This is so good!  Here are some illustrations:

    1) Hat and har without the script being run

    2) Hat and hair after script

    3) Hair - hat visibility turned off so you can see what the morph created by they script looks

Thanks for this really useful tool!

Okay, this thread needs a new post, methinks. Here's a dial-spun morph for y'all. Guess who? (no, not a real person, I mean the figure!).

  • No Suits for Genesis8 [commercial]

OK. I give up. How do you get the ears back?

Never mind. I figured it out. I had to delete that graft.

Well, now that I understand how it works, I can start using it. One thing though...it seems like the morphs are only useful if you are using the suit on the entire figure. If you are just using it on the lower part of the figure and you want the wrinkles on the hips, you have to turn on the torso morph, but that also puts wrinkles on the upper body where there is no suit.

Also, the instructions say to apply your character and morphs, first. So I think that means the textures for Michael 8 for example. Then it says to apply the base texture for the suit. There are two, one white and one black. But if you do that, it covers the entire body. Or is that not the base texture they mean?

  • mcjAddRadialMorph - add radius morphs to your prop + New Important Safety ftr.

Get the new Updated Upgraded And Safer mcjAddRadialMorph V4 for Daz Studio Today !

    New features in February 23rd 2019's V4

Important Note : versions before V4 could make a scene un-loadable

if the morphed object was a subdivided surface at the moment of creation

of the morph. Version 4 forces the shape in its safe non-subdivided state

  • Sunken Eyes Problem

If this is happening with the base figure loaded from the Daz preset it suggests an add-on (moprh set or character) with incorrectly configured adjustments that are kicking in even when the morph they are meant to correct for is off. If you have recently installed one or more new characters or moprh sets try unbinstalling them one by one and see if that fixes the issue. If you've recently created a custom morph of your own and had to use Adjust Rigging to Shape you might try temporarily removing its .dsf asset files from the Data folder and see if that fixes the issue.

ok wow thanks, i appreaciate your help. SO. I recently insalled a new character, which to be honest did stick out to me as the "red flag variable" in all this. But I couldnt think of a good reason why so...So this figure is a base Teen Josie with a face mix of about 4-5 other figures. The body has been morphed with parameter dials specific to the body, not by adding any other 'figure' to the body shape. The new figure added to the face is XF Jane. I will delete her and see what happens. I didnt create any custom morphs that have been saved and applied.

  • Controller dial loses properties after saving and rebooting

ERC links between figures can be tricky to save. Why not just load your morph into the empty dummy channel, so it kicks in automatically, rather than having a dummy channel to block auto follow and a separate moprh for the lashes that has to be triggered by special links?

It worked great, thanks again! :D

Yes, it will be a combination of several morphs.

  • Controller dial loses properties after saving and rebooting

Basically, I made a face morph to resemble a character from a game and made custom eyelashes morph for him. I made an empty morph on eyelashes to prevent daz from generating an autofit morph and load load my own morph instead of it. After i made a controller using ERC freeze everything worked well until i saved morph asset and rebooted the program. When i tried to dial the controller again the lashes would just be stuck in its default position, and all references to them were wiped out. Is there any way to fix that?

  • Duplicate files?

The Cannot Find Target errors are no problem - they just mean that you have Michael 7 but not the Genesis 3 Male Expressions (I think) so the correction morph to make them work nicel with Michael 7 can't be hooked up, but you don't need it so no loss.

The vertex count errors are a problem - they indicate that the morph affected is not set up correctly and will not work.

There aren't Duplicate Files errors  -there are Duplicate Formula and Duplicate ID errors. Without knowing which you had it is hard to ofer any suggestions.
