New Daz Studio not showing the templates as in the Video Tutorial.

Hmm. I'm having the same problem, but Default Templates are installed. I've even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the templates. Any ideas?
Go to your Smart Content, check if there's a new category 'Templates' there... If not, try to re-import metadata : 13176 - Default Resources for DAZ Studio

@NorthOf45 My issue is with sorting by release date, by installation date, by order date, and such, just to skim through latest additions. It's apparently not sorting them correctly, so i hoped for it to be mendable. Indeed, this time i forgot to uncheck "Filter by Context", but it's not much of a difference, those in front often are much older. Studio does show "No" for both metadata and installed, seemingly for all items, though stuff is there and usable.
If you use DIM and Content Wizard to install Daz3D and 3rd-party products, as well as much rely on Smart Content, suggest manage your cms database with a DBA tool - https://www.navicat.com/en/products/navicat-for-postgresql, one of my favorite tools, neat and powerful. Any date info. wrong in Product table, just correct it ( must learn required knowlege and skills fo cms / dzContent first...)
DIM and Content Wizard can assure correct Install date and Last Update date. Sort by them. There's no sorting by Order date in Smart Content and do not sort by Release date either, mostly messy, even DIM doesn't use it now.
And never log on to Connect to update metadata !
4.22 nightmareBut the categories are not files, theya re metadata pointing to files - if the files are still on disc then you can reimport the metadata. In any event, it would be a really good idea to post screenshots of your content directories and of the installed file locations - it is easy to miss issues, and fidning and fixing those would be a lot less painful than reinstalling all the content.

I'm confused. I just updated to 4.22, and there are absolutely no templates in the New Scene window.
EDIT: Ok, sorted it out. I had to install the "Default Templates for DAZ Studio 4.21+" seperately in Daz Install Manager (it doesn't appear in Daz Studio's Smart Content). Despite being sorted by Order Date: Recent First, it was buried way down the product list. Heck, it seems sorting by order date never works properly in either DIM or Smart Content, the stuff I ordered most recently never actually appears at the top (never has done),
It is part of the default resources, which iss plit across several zips in DIM but is under the one product name in Connect and metadata/

Except for a messy start, i installed everything via DIM. The sorting order in Studio remains fully messed up, almost as if it was ignoring any order entirely.
Should i use some "update metadata" feature within Studio in this scenario?
Did you at any point go online and sync with Connect metadata? If you did, many date related entries will be corrupted. This is a well-known bug at this point...

Studio 4.22 and DIM -> metadata? The "same" metadata (so we're told) is installed with DIM, so there is no need to "update" it with Connect. Many users would strongly advise against it. If you have Products/Files showing in Smart Content, it has metadata. Note that some older products do not have detailed metadata, i.e., Compatibility, Content Type, etc., so they might not appear at all.
Have you checked "Filter by Context"? That will change the resulting list quite a bit, limiting it to what is compatible (as defeined in the metadata) with the currently selected scene item. Sometimes the contents of the list seem at odds with the selection, but there are some products, like Shader Presets, that are compatible with "Any Surface" (or some other generic property) which could be, well, any surface.
Make your custom Renderosity product icons open their product web pages & readme filesCan the Store URL be modified? Probably needs some scripting... If you don't quite get it right, you can't add it again, it must be deleted before trying a new definition. Deleting the store if it has been applied to any Product will kill the corresponding metadata (it can be re-imported from metadata files, if they exist, as Vendor data only). The assets probably went into LOCAL USER. I suppose I could have re-created the Product from the Content Directory, but it didn't occur to me at the time. Any customization will be lost unless you have a backup of User data. I only had a few using an early attempt that did not work, so only took a few minutes to recover.
Studio 4.22 and DIM -> metadata?Oh, it's smart content with the products view.
It almost always shows a certain product first, which does not match at all, what it should be sorted by.
So if the metadata isn't in the CMS, i might have to tell Studio to fetch it somehow. Or if it has to for some other reason. I just don't know if i really should, as some actions might damage the installation, such as updating products installed with DIM from within Studio. That's why i am asking here.

How is it? any major bugs?
The "fast asset loading" is very tempting, but since almost all Daz past updates had catastrophic bugs and errors, making the trade off not worth it, I'm really afraid history will repeat itself with this new update.
And not having a roll back option certainly isn’t helping, I can only hope to find out from someone who downloaded and tried
Usually it is better to wait a few weeks until the impatient ones have tested it first
Usually that's my approach, but that "fast asset loading" is too tempting,
But then I remember the horror experience I had with 4.21 update by the time it first released, it destroyed all my metadata, I ended up re-download all my contents and reset my working environment which took me almost a week just to get things back the way it was.
really hope roll back to last version is an option, don't know why it never materialized
There is no rollback option, or support. Keep a copy of your program downloads, and any dependent plugins. You can install older versions with DIM offline by copying the relevant packages into the download folder. Uninstall the current version and the older one will become Ready To Install.
I've written a DS version manager (Windows) which makes it simple to backup as well as restore (to the DIM Downloads folder) any version including plugins. Just need to do the annoying part, writing the documention.
This sounds awesome. Is this a planned product for sale? However I would be stunned if Daz approves this to their store.

Can anyone confirm whether the new Connect functionality also fixes the corruption issues? In particular, the Order Date and other similar metadata? The inclusion of the checkbox is a rather.. curious workaround but I wonder if the actual issue was fixed too?
Not in the Beta, certainly - as far as I am aware this is an issue on the store side, the break happened with the stoe update when there was no change in DS. Not that that is any comfort, trying to find new items to install is a pain (I use Install date, which does work, to find newly installed stuff).
Yeah, this occured with the store update a number of years ago. It's strange because I would've figured that Connect would pull the same metadata as DIM, which *does* have the correct information.
Install Date does work as a workaround, but I'd rather they fixed this bug after years of this persisting.

DIM will now create backups, see the change log - though i keep forgetting to set this up. Edit http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/install_manager/change_log_1_4_0_94#1_4_0_86

My scripts, favorites, products, toolbar, custom workspace and metadata... are all there. So that's a good start! I worked online for the last year and a half, so I can't tell the difference between be connected or not anymore.
For me the new AI generative fill AD in Photoshop is waaay more annoying than this one.Cheers.
Automatically adding bones to human models in Daz3dFirst, there's no such a product in Daz3D store or other 3rd-party stores that can automatically add bones for rigging your figure.
Second, was the figure wrapped by you ? There should be nothing to do with horns... As long as you use Genesis 8 F/M with Base resolution as a floating geometry to wrap the target fixed geometry, you'll be able to import obj to DS with Morph Loader.
So, just check the polycount of that obj file... if it's 16196 (G8M) or 16368 (G8F), or not ...

Discussion of bugs is usually in here - https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/601796/daz-studio-pro-beta-version-4-22-0-1-updated#latest
Better to wait for more time, especially this time... If you wanna experience 'fast asset loading' which's been already there for nearly a year, go for installing a Public Build.
