Sydney 8 ... Chest morphs... Really?!
What I miss about the base morph packs is that you used to get all kinds of ethnic morphs with it - Native American, African, East Indian noses, etc. But I digress ;)

Sydney 8 ... Chest morphs... Really?!LOL, if the DO Head Morphs would only come with as many morphs adjustments for the nose, the mouth, the teeth, the tongue, the cranium, the ears, the eyes, the forehead...each as what comes with the DO Female Body morphs for the nipples, the breasts, and some parts in that area there I'd never heard of before.
You think that is something, take a look at how many morphs there are in my fav breast morph package from Hellboy https://www.daz3d.com/breast-utilities-for-genesis-8-female-s
Sydney 8 ... Chest morphs... Really?!simply put, the Genesis 'Figures' are actually character morphs, with tweaks where necessary. apart from a 'character specific' item you have ALWAYS needed the morph packs to make much of any changes you wanted to make to the 'Figure'
as someone has already said, morph pack expansions to the base figure have always been sold as separate items( at least from the the original gen 3 series on )
200 Plus Head and Face morphs for Genesis 8 (Commercial)I just purchased the package, loaded up G8F and tried to apply the face preset/dials. When I double click Diane for instance and then look under Parameters and my Shaping Presets, I don't find any of the new morph dials or the face preset. In the past, this has worked for other packages to load body morph dials. Am I missing a step?
For those that are having a similar problem in the future. Make sure you have the directory "<DazConnectPath>/ConnectLibrary/data/Daz 3D" setup under Content Directory Manager > Daz Studio Formats and then do a scan to refresh.
Data directory should not be listed as a content directory, it's a technical folder. None of the files from "data" folder are supposed to appear in the content library.
Presets to apply morphs would be somewhere under People/Genesis 8 Female, not inside the "data" folder. What inspired you to start purchasing 3D content? What product or purchase was your first?
Technically, DAZ Studio 4.5, but "items" wise, The G2F Morph bundle and Michael 5 Pro Bundle.
What brought you in and made you "take the plunge" to start purchasing 3D content?
Having DAZ Studio "for free", and naively thinking I could sure learn how to model and texture my own stuff. Realistically, I suck at that just as I suck at drawing... which was the other part of what drew me in. With DAZ Studio and 3D, I was finally able to do visual story tellling. The ultimate goal would be making an animated movie... sometime in the future.

But yeah, what really sucked me in was that "things finally looked right", the way I wanted them to look like.
Do you still use the product that drew you in?
Yes, on occasion; I still use them, though I'm slowly shifting over to G3 and the occasional G8. Two of the main characters of my comic are G2Ms, though.
What program did you start with?
DAZ Studio 4.5
Characters with displacement mapsThe technology has largely been superseded by HD morphs. HD morphs have the advantage of being mergeable with each other, better clothing fit and easier adjustment; the corresponding disadvantages are that they're impossible for end users to edit outside that.
As such, I use them on occasion when I need that capability but don't have a suitable morph. (I've also even experimented with converting HD morphs to displacement maps as a way of bridging HD across generations).
200 Plus Head and Face morphs for Genesis 8 (Commercial)If anyone else is having this issue:
I just deleted C:\DAZ3D Content\Content\data\DAZ 3D\Genesis 8\Female\Morphs\DogZ&Zev0\200 Plus/Cheeks Size (Alt).dsf
now it's working kinda. The morph Cheeks size is not useable then, but I think I don't need it anyway.
deleting Cheeks Size (Alt).dsf on Female morphs does seem to fix the issue of duplicate formulas
Sydney 8 ... Chest morphs... Really?!
Not entirely true...at least, not in some characters that include a separate breast morph specific to that character. But, that is usually the extent of it, unless something like elf ears are also separate. Even so, I'm not sure where the op got the idea that base characters normally come with a set of additional shaping morphs...most are just head / body / full.Ok... I've been using D|S since V2. So I sort of know my way around the program. I've never encountered a character that has such a limited number of adjustments in a Basic (including HD) mesh (see screenshot). It's insulting that I must spend additional funds to get basic functionality. In past iterations, HD, or add-on, packs gave morphs that extended a character. My issue, such as it is, is that EVERY D|S female is supplied with a DD or DDD breast size. In EVERY other character, "breast_small" or :"breast_gone" is a basic morph. I guess DAZ has broken down the functionality to optimize purchases. Well, we'll see.
I guess not since none of the genesis 8 addon characters come with specific breasts morphs outside of that specific character. They all rely on the daz basic body morphs to add this funcionality.
Eyes, adjust rigging to shapeBlast from the past.
Solution 1:
When rigging to shape, do a stage where you are ONLY rigging the eyes.
Solution 2:
Use https://www.daz3d.com/morph-rigger-plus
What inspired you to start purchasing 3D content?• What product or purchase was your first? First product was the "Anime Star Fighter" Bundle that was offered as a freebie at the time. First purchased product was the Genesis Evolution: Morph Bundle
• What brought you in and made you "take the plunge" to start purchasing 3D content? I wanted the basic shapes for drawing references. The Basic Male, Basic Female, and the freebie morphs I found weren't enough. I use DS and products for it to make quick illustrations, whether they he references or actual artistic renders.
• Do you still use the product that drew you in? Not that much anymore. I moved on from Genesis 1 to G8. :'(
• What program did you start with? Was it Poser or Daz Studio or something else? DAZ Studio 4.5, I think.

Sydney 8 is a Genesis 8 Female - not a stand-alone character. All the "8" figures are Genesis 8, as such all you need is the Genesis 8 Female Body Morphs and the Genesis 8 Female Head Morphs to adjust any of the Genesis 8 Female figures. The Genesis 8 Female Body Morphs come with breast adjustment morphs. Most of the "8" figures don't come with their own individual adjustment morphs.
Thanks, but you speak to my point. I have to spend an additional 20 bucks to get BASIC functionality. Meh, I'm done
Oh, also SickleYield has some great freebie morphs for Genesis 8: https://sharecg.com/v/91888/browse/21/DAZ-Studio/SY-200-Morphs-for-Genesis-8-Head-and-Body
It has quite a few different breast adjustments, including a "Breasts Tiny" and a "Breasts Gone" morph that can make even very busty women a lot more "petite" up top. lol

The Head and Body morphs cover the entire generation of Genesis 8 Female characters - so it's a one time purchase, plus they quite often go on sale.

Sydney 8 ... Chest morphs... Really?!Is your concern with the lack of morphs to change the shape, or feeling the Sydney body morph is not different enough from the default Genesis 8 Female shape?
For the number of morphs, characters don't usually come with more than the one body morph... in fact I think if you are seeing a chest size morph it comes from something other than Sydney. For a full range of adjustment morphs, I would start with https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-8-female-body-morphs for the body and https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-8-female-head-morphs for the head.
If it's for the Sydney shape, not sure, I am seeing quite a bit of change in the hips, knees, and elbows especially in addition to the chest (I am sure there are adjustments all over, those are just the ones that stand out at first glance). If you liked the shape though, that is what you would expect. Are you not seeing the Sydney shape you expect? If it's not loading properly there could be an installation issue.
Un-natural skirt behavior!Hi everyone!
I'v created a skirt in Blender (around a base, unmorphed G3F character). Imported .obj and run Transfer utility with G3F as source and skirt as target.
As you can see in the attached pics, the skirt looks perfect in the base pose. Horribly deformed and un-natural in a dynamic pose. :-(
What did I do wrong in Blender?
Shape Rigger Plus(Commercial)Hi. This is not a morph transfer tool. This only rigs morphs on the figure and ones that lack rigging, be it custom morphs, or ones that have been transferred via an external method. So say you create a custom morph or import a new morph onto a figure. It requires rigging for it to bend properly or handle expressions correctly. That is what this tool is designed to do. It also has a handy feature to instantly save any selected morph with one click and browse to it's location. You can also browse to any selected morphs path if you cant remember where it is located. So if you don't really import morphs, or create characters, then this product wont really be high on your priority list, but to me it is such a convenience. It saves me so much time, especially for resaving morphs I update, or instantly finding the location of a specific morph. Hope that makes sense.
Shape Rigger Plus(Commercial)I'm trying to understand what this product is and does (showing my ignorance). Can it transfer morphs from Genesis to Genesis 2, 3, and 8? Does it transfer full body morphs as in the video, or does it transfer face morphs also? It looks interesting but I can't understand how I would use it.
