Can any provide me with just the basic steps to get the Monk Robes loaded into Carrara for Michael 4?

I think I know how to add runtimes, but don't see the content, only blank Content and Smart Content tabs. I can only see the basic, basic content that seems to come with Carrara and / or Michael 4 / Victoria 4 / Genesis.

I've been using Carrara for some time now (years) but have not had any success whatsoever with any purchased clothing. I have only had success with the clothing that you find by default with Carrara and Michael 4.

There Must just be some Basic, Basic Steps I am missing here. I have tried adding runtimes on both the PC and the Mac but never see the clothing I have purchased appearing in the Content or Smart Content folders. (I only see the default stuff like a few boots and some accessories and underwear, for example.)

Please, please, PLEASE HELP!! :-)

Another render based on Samuel R. Delany's 1968 novel Nova.

Katin Crawford, described as brilliant, gawky and absurdly tall. He has a habit of strolling with hands shoved beneath his belt with elbows flapping while contemplating lunar surfaces.

Digital recorders are common place today but in Delany's world of the 1960's, the idea of someone owning a small portable recording device capable of storing huge amounts of personal notes was, well, the stuff of science fiction.

Katin's jeweled recorder contains thousands of notes for a project he's working on. He wanted to try reviving what he referred to as, "an archaic art form known as the novel".

Sorry, I really dont know but until someone better informed comes along, I think you can try by looking in Daz Studio's surface tab. I would think there would be a better method without leaving Carrara, but I don't know what it would be. This is from the infobase on using other skin textures on Genesis. Presumably, same principles apply on Gen2.

SKIN TEXTURES
These are the easiest to use on Genesis. By default, any texture that works on Victoria 4.2 (including Aiko 4, Stephanie 4, Girl 4, and She-Freak 4) works on Genesis. Simply apply the texture. Any texture for Michael 4 (including Freak 4, Hiro 4, and Vladimir for M4) can also be used on Genesis. Textures for Kids4 can also be applied to Genesis.

When applying a fourth Generation texture to Genesis that is not V4-compatible, it's necessary to change the UV Map set afterwards. This is a very easy setting to change in the Surface (Color) Tab. Select the figure, then go to the Surface (Color) Tab (WINDOW --> Tabs --> Surface). Select the Genesis figure again on the left side of the Surface Tab. This highlights (and thus selects) all the surfaces for the Genesis figure. On the right side, scroll down the list of properties. Find the UV Set property. Click the drop-down and choose Michael 4 or Kids4, as appropriate for the original texture. The UV Map on Genesis changes and the seams disappear.

The beauty of dynamic clothing is that you can use it on other characters of a similar size, providing you've got the full dynamic clothing control to tweak settings :)
