After taking a break from DAZ Studio for several years, I'm now back at it. One problem I am running into is the apparent lack of "fit-to" options for various products. In this example, I am trying to apply a hair style to Victoria 4.2 but the hair has no fit-to option, just a parenting option. Why? Am I missing a step?

The DAZ product is "Army Combat Uniform for V4." The clothes fit fine, conforming immediately to Victoria 4.2, but not the hair. I checked the DAZ store if I could find more info, but the product is no longer available for purchase, though it's still available in my Daz Central library. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Is it using generic autofit, or do you have V4 clones, uch as https://www.daz3d.com/rssy-clothing-converter-from-victoria-4-to-genesis-8-female

Is the character the base G8, or morphed.

The problem you are seeing is not unusual, but can often be minimized by using clones.

Hi, i have a problem when I import an Avatar on CLO. If I import a FBX file the feet has a really ugly distortion while If I import an OBJ the problem doesn't exist. How do i can solve? I Attached an image below. 

Ps. for the heels i'm using I Love High Heels, Poses and Shoes for Genesis 8 Female(s) and the avatar is Victoria 8.1

Yeah, there's no arguing that the adoption of G1 and G2 at other sites was definitely hamstrung by DAZ's own "push only the current figure system" strategy.  Given that dropping the production of new V4 gen products down to a trickle in order to push Genesis as the replacement, despite the fact that there were massive compatibility issues with Poser, pushed a lot of the user base into not supporting Genesis and created a huge and very nasty schism between the user bases, and a lot of vitriol aimed at DAZ in general.  As a result, a lot of PAs and users simply kept using the older figure, while a large portion of the Genesis and G2 products that did get made and and sold outside DAZ were actually hybrid items that paired two seperate sets of morphs, one for Gen 4 and one for Genesis 1/2, into a single product with a shared V4 era texture set.  All of which is rather ironic given that DAZ is basically going down the same road again right now by phasing out the G8s in favor of G8.1, despite the known technical issues caused by the post 4.12 generations of DAZ Studio no longer supporting older graphic cards.

Also unrelated, I wasn't able to find any eyebrow freebie for G8F, neither mesh nor painted. The g3 one works fine, except for the morphs.

...Generation X2 was also one of the reasons I stopped with G3. as it really expands the "gene pool" nicely. There is a utility to transfer morphs between G3 and G8 but it is more limited.

Victoria 8.1 is Genesis 8.1, or specifically Victoria 8.1 is just a character morph on top of Genesis 8.1 Female.

If the expressions don't work, they have not been installed correctly.

As the title suggests, I'm wondering if it's possible to get Victoria 8.1 expressions to work with Genesis 8.1 characters?

They don't. That's why many love dForce ;-)  While using dForce, the morphs will still be dialed in but hopefully dForce keeps them outside of the figure.

It is possible to make additional morphs FOR a particular pose set. These could be dialed in manually. Or once again, there is a way to make a controller dial to trigger a particular pose morph when a particular pose is used. Tutorial is in that same basket at DA, called "Making Pose Controls for Correction Morphs." n.b. I am not a PA, not privy to the PA forum so they may or not also have additional information on how to do things. Don't go nuts trying to second guess all what poses people might have for their figures, there are way too many. The Base Poses that come with the Default Genesis' figures would be possibly the start and end point of such a product - unless of course also is selling pose presets in which case one may want their clothing products to look nice with all their pose presets too. PAs tend to specialize though, one makes clothing, somebody else makes poses, etc.

While over there at DA, might want to also check out my Tutorial for making FBMs - another necessity to help clothing fit at least a number of core characters. Core characters are the ones with the # of Genesis in it. i.e. "Name of Character" #. AFAIK to sell clothing at Daz3D one is expected to put as many of these core character FBMs into their clothing as they can. Not everybody owns "all" the core characters however something of a collection of them is expected. Esp. for Victoria for the females and Michael for the males, for example. And yes, there just happens to be a tutorial in my folder over at DA for this too, called "Making Replacement Full Body Morphs."

I pretty sure that many people make some clothing for themselves, making only the morphs they require for their own work.

Has the general 'first glance' look of Victoria 7 to me (https://www.daz3d.com/victoria-7) and the product sale numbers have V7 before the Hotel Room meaning that V7 was probably around for long enough to be available for the promo images.
