Download and try to render the attached scene. It uses DTHDR-OutdoorB-Background, G9, and one point light with much increased brightness. Does it work for you? Based on your answer, we can continue to diagnose from there.
I also attached my two renders - one without point light and one with a single point light.
Thank you.
Downloaded it. It wanted me to download Gen9 Starter Essentials, and I did.
I ran the file. It said it couldn't find /data/Daz 3D/Genesis 9/Genesis 9 Mouth/Morphs/P3Design/Rowan/P3DRowan_head_bs_Teeth.dsf
Was that environment seen in your renders supposed to be included in your scene file?
If it was, it didn't appear when I opened your file.I don't know why it is looking for that P3DRowan morph. I just loaded the base G9 character from the starter essentials. Just ignore that missing P3DRowan file message. Say OK and move past it.
The HDRI is "included" in the scene file as a link to the HDRI in the content library. Since you said you were using that product, it should show up for you in Iray Preview in the viewport or when the scene is rendered with the Iray render engine. It won't be visible in Texture Shaded draw style in the viewport. Have you tried rendering the scene? You didn't get a missing file error about the HDRI, did you?
Feng Character MorphsI had a weird problem like this happen when I used the blink morph, the eyes wouldn't shut properly. I found out the morph was activating another product's morphs by mistake (You can read how here: Genesis 9 Eye shut weird if it sounds similar). @Crosswind does a nice step-by-step of how to find if any hidden morphs are triggering by accident. Good luck!
Feng Character MorphsThis might be a support ticket question but I thought I would try here first. I have bought several Characters from the creator Feng but I don't have many of them installed because everytime I do I see corrective morphs from the characters, dialed in, even though I am not using those specific character morphs. They Specifically appear when you click on the hip Of a character. I was having some bending issues And general issues with meshes And I decided To remove all of the Feng characters since those were the only "rouge" morphs I could find. My question is, is this something to be expected and these morphs don't actually do anything unless the character is dialed in? Before anyone asks, These are downloaded using the installer that Daz provides. I have deleted the package and re-downloaded them several times And confirmed that these morphs still show up. Perhaps, as I said, it is to be expected and these don't actually do anything Unless the character morph is dialed in, but I want to confirm. I have not proven that these morphs have anything to do with the bending issues I saw (which has since been resolved). I am on a phone So please excuse the random capitalization. I don't feel like correcting it Every time it shows up lol.
how to convert one single morph from G8 to G3\G2?The morph comes from EJ Body Shape And Details For Genesis 8 Male made by EmmaAndJordi (...can be found from their gumroad site)
With the way of using Transfer Utility, as for G8M > G3M, you 1stly need to have G8M Clone on G3M... by making the clone files yourself or using this product directly: https://www.daz3d.com/sy-genesis-8-clones-for-genesis-3
As for G8M > G2M, there's no clone product AFAIK, but you may check this thread to make one: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/574686/ or, G8M > G3M first, then G3M > G2M ~~
Edit: You want to transfer PBM by using Morph Target rather than rigging wearables to the source figure, no need to check User Nearest Vertices option ~~
It's Time for me to Learn to Create my Own 3D Content or Can I Hire a 3D Custome Content Creator?Creating your own content is fun, but quite labourous, especially the first few times. In addition, you might have noticed that very few of the PA's here "make everything", and of the few who do, several are actually collaborations instead of single artists. Most artist specialize in one or two types of content, and just on rare occasions stray into some radically different content type on the side. Making hair is radically different from making a buillding, or clothes, a car, furniture, or some forest scene. Each of these will feel like having to learn a completely different skill.
What may help, though, is exporting some models you bought as a .obj file to Blender, and try to tweak them into what you need, simply by moving the vertices around. This can give some insight into how such an object is set up, while saving you a lot of trouble creating it from scratch. You can then import it back into Studio, optionally as a morph to the original (this is trickier, but will be useful to learn for future projects). Keep in mind that you wouldn't be allowed to distribute such tweaked models, since they're originally the PA's, but all this is allowed if it's for personal use in whatever renders you create.

I use Twist Corrective to minimize the problem and if the model doesn't have hd morph you can try to switch to Catmull-Clark subdivision algorithm.
The image is G9 base feminine.
My charcters have HD morphs. Switching to base resolution certainly helps the crotch area, but then of course all of the detail is lost elsewehere.
Where would I find the twist corrective?

I Googled that and wish I hadn't, try Renderotica
Weird... I googled, ended on the Wiki for that 3d product and there was not a single thing that would have to be censored anywhere...
From what I can read on that wiki, it seems the OP looks for good-looking figures of asian heritage, slightly than average breasts and clothes with many morph options...

I've noticed many of my old character subsets no longer bend smoothly, I load them and the thigh to hip area now creases unnaturally.
I've varified this by comparing the original renders with these characters.
I'm sure this is just another DAZ improvement...

Make sure you haven't zeroed Base Joint Corretives under General>Misc in the Parameters pane? It's also possible that you have an add-on (character or shape) that is set up incorrectly and is triggering a corrective morph when it isn't needed.

Genesis 9 has cast away all morphs and I'm questioning my relationship decisionSounds pretty odd... Better post a screenshot, as barbult asked, did you find nearly no morph properties in Parameters Pane ?
When a G9 is loaded into the scene, all morph data (DSF files) will be loaded from this folder under you Daz Libraries: \data\DAZ 3D\Genesis 9\Base\Morphs and DSON cache files will be updated at the same time...
So firstly check if you can find DSF files (by searching) in the above folder(s). Besides, press F2 in DS, Clear DSON Cache Files, then try loading G9 again.
Besides, do you have Turbo Loader ? If you do, also check if you ever by chance disabled all G9 morphs... ?
Genesis 9 has cast away all morphs and I'm questioning my relationship decisionIf the PostgresSQL is not working, none of your Smart Content will work. I don't know if that would cause your morphs to be inaccessible, though. There must be a hundred forum threads about how to deal with PostgresSQL errors, but I an not an expert. I've never had that problem.
Some people have had problems with the latest NVIDIA driver, but those problems are with rendering, not morph finding.
Load Genesis 9 Base in your scene. Select it in the Scene pane. Go to menu Edit//Object/Scene Identification. Does it show the Compatibility Base as /Genesis 9/Base? If so, that is good and Daz Studio knows that the character is Genesis 9 and some other product has not broken that.
Where are you looking for the morphs? In the Parameters pane with Genesis 9 selected? Most morphs will be listed under the Actor category and its sub categories, like Arms, Head, etc. Post a screenshot of what you see that that indicates that your morphs are missing. Maybe we can see something wrong with where you are looking.

Well, the mesh in crotch area on G9 is denser than G8, so G9 can easily show you some "details" there. There may be no easier way to "smooth" it but further cranking up SubD Level (no matter in Viewport or for Render...), e.g. to Level 4 ~ 5.
If you want to smooth it (no matter on characters' Body Morph and/or Corrective Morphs with such Pose...) by sculpting in external applications, it won't work either as users don't have HD plugin to import morphs with SubD...Sculpted morphs with Base Resolution won't help...
Especially, when the mesh layout is not supporting anatomy, by not having edge loops.
G9's mesh design seems to have been gone through an automatic remesher app.
So you have quad shaped polygons, with overlapping edges, when joints are moved, which of course leads to render artefacts.
G8 has amuch supirior mesh design, that works at basic resolution.
Thank you for pointing this out, for this is one of the main reasons, I won't jump on the G9 train.
Like good old Victoria 4, G9 is great for portraits and even expressions (BTW: V4 has been horrible with expressions),
but sucks at everything else.Genesis 9 has cast away all morphs and I'm questioning my relationship decisionThank you for getting to me at this late hour. Now hear "hour" with lots of wibbly sounds.
I'd upgraded to Premier and had decided to see if I could figure out the new bits and bobs. I installed all of the things and even made sure my video card driver was up to date.I loaded Genesis 9 and it had only the bellybutton morph. That was it!
I loaded Genesis (which I'm working with the most right now) and same story.
I uninstalled DAZ. Reinstalled. Post...grspaslksdfd error. (I never can remember the letters.)... ssigh.
Going into the library (on an external drive), it was still pointing to the right location.I could open file locations and go right where I needed to go. But for some bizarre reason, none of the Genesis models are seeing the data for their morphs. Pheh. Perhaps I should find the instructions for how to do a clean reinstall?
Is AI killing the 3D star?I think so. I'm druging up stuff done over a span of time here.
As Illustrious moves beyond just anime, I'm starting to play more with those models. Since it and pony are built off of sdxl, a lot of LORA seem to transfer over alright. Illustrious seems to have a broader understanding of the universe in place of all of Pony's kinky specificity. It seems easier to prompt and steer, if maybe a bit lower quality at other elements.
I also noticed that controlnets, if run in balanced vs prioritize prompt, had weird effects in Pony. Prioritizing prompt eleminated the weirdness, but it also diminished my control. Illustrious doesn't seem to have that problem.
I've got the power to run Flux locally and quickly on Forge (vs automatic1111). But I think I would need to learn ComyUI and it's nodes to actually use ControlNets.SnowSultan said:
Absolute night and day. Were those done with a Pony model too?

You can try:
1) Press F2 in DS, Bridges tab, choose Advanced in Hexagon > Show Options.
2) When sending morph back to DS, in Morph Loader Pro, set Reverse Deformatons as Yes, Overwrite Existing as Delta Only.See if it works.
Yes, that fixed it!
Thank you very much!

I don't use hexagon, but it sounds like the dress is smaller when you get it back into DS, any points that should not change has to be in the exact same spot, try to export it from daz and hexagon and compare if they are identical besides your changes.
The way the Hexagon bridge works I don't reload the dress in Daz Studio and I don't save the dress as an object from Hexagon. Hexagon sends the morph data to Daz Studio which adds it to the dress. After creating the morph the dress is still OK and at it's normal size but if I adjust the morph slider the whole dress gets smaller the more I move the slider. I tried exporting the dress an an .obj in Daz Studio and Hexagon and importng them both into Hexagon and the sizes are massively differenent, but since Hexagon is supposed to be able to create morphs for Daz Studio I assumed that the morph export option would deal with this.

Morphs made in hexagon affect the whole figure, not just the parts that I modified - FixedI am trying to do some clothes morphs in Hexagon. As a test I selected a dress and used "Send to Hexagon". In Hexagon I used soft select to select polygons around the bottom of the dress and scaled and moved them to shorten the dress. Then I used "Send to Daz Studio" and told Daz Studio to create a morph. But when I applied the morph the entire dress became smaller as if the scale setting had been reduced and it didn't fit the figure anymore.
Can anyone suggest what is causing this and how I can stop it?
I am using Daz Studio 4.23.0.1 and Hexagon Beta 2.5.2.137, both 64 bit, on Windows 10 Pro.
