I only buy characters for the shapes and skins, and from initial testing, both seem useful for my purposes. I like the clothing with the bundles, particularly the Casual Elegance Outfit. Both character bundles and the two non-toon texture add-ons were $14 with the premier coupon/8 tokens/gold star/multiple new items discounts, so on balance, worth it for me.

I've noticed that yesterday's Chloe 9 releases are not getting the Still New 50% off for Gold Star holders. They are shown on the MM sale page as Still Mad but not included in the "View All" link

That's also what I think. I still see a few non-new items with so-so discounts (like the first four in my screenshot). But I've been able to get most of my non-new Daz+ products from my wishlist with final discounts of 94% or above in my cart. That is with a newly mad release in cart, the gold star discount for purchasing over $1 in the last two days and 8 tokens. Also, I'm Premier.

Because those systems are usually awful.

People are only likely only leave a review if they feel strongly about a product, or they're being incentivised to (such as Rendo does with their reward system).

In the first case, people are often posting a review because they didn't read the description or instructions and are using the review system when they should be submitting a support ticket, giving the product unwarranted 1 star reviews.

In the second case, people are often just posting empty reviews to get their incentive, which results in a load of empty 5 star reviews. There were five star reviews on the Rendo product I had to initiate a complaint to the store on (and which was later removed) because the vendor was completely dismissive when I contacted them about major issues with it, including JCMs so bad that one particular leg bend caused the clothes to decide to turn themselves into a pretzel. No-one who had actually loaded and tested that product past the barest minimum could have genuinely thought it was the best you could reasonably expect, and frankly I'm surprised it made it to the store in the first place.

Only if it is very massive, lighter stars (including the Sun) go out less spectacularly, and some much smaller ones just gently fade.

It's been mostly a win for me.  Picked up some interesting products, while I've been happy with the March character bundles released, too (I judge a month extremely critically on the character bundles, it's the main driving force of my spending). 

The only thing I didn't like was the Gold Star promotion.  I had to make sure I bought things on a regular basis, and I quickly ran out of the daily Mad items that had any semblence of interest.  The really only saving grace has been Filatoon, which can make some of those older-resolution envronments easily usable without being concerned about updating textures. I just accepted that I had to dump $1.99 on something to make sure I had a Gold Star in the hope that within the next two days, there would be something I wanted to really buy.  On a principle I didn't like that, but it allowed me to get some cool stuff, so I begrudingly admit it worked out.

...Picked up Stonemason's  Private Library at 70% off yesterday so got another gold star and with the sale continuing may as well get a few more today though both the Under Bridge Hiding Ground and Aeon Hall are tempting at 50% off.

I doubt that those surprise sale extensions are a smart move. For instance, if I knew there would be an extension today, I'd have bought anything yesterday just to get a Gold Star and then would have bought something today. Since I didn't, I'd buy nothing.

I spent a possibly absurd amount of time decorating my newly-installed harvest gold fridge with magnets. :) (Of course, since there aren't really magnet packs in the store, this is me drastically shrinking props I already have that I think would be amusing as magnets, then just parenting them to the freezer door. There's a lot of food magnets up there LOL.)

And I'm glad for all the people who are having good fortune with the sale... It would just be nice if we could move on so those of us it *isn't* working for might have a shot at some decent deals.

Mira & Genghis character bundles for about $9, when I had Gold Star, & right now (no Gold Star) Walter HD figure for $13. Unfortunately, for Daz at least, I'm not at all interested in them. But I am just SO done with MM right now, I doubt I'd bite if a WL item showed up in my LD.
