I've generally just been using the regular Content Pane. Then, I became interested in the Smart Content Pane. But a lot of my stuff does not show up in the Smart Content Pane. What can I do so that it does show up?

Also, in the Smart Content Pane, I found, under "Lost," an item that I want to use. I double clicked on it, and it loaded into a scene. But I tired to search for it, to see its whereabots, both in DAZ Studio and in the Mac "Find." I can't find it. How did it get "lost"? I saved it out as a separate scene. But there should be a way to track where it's stored. I can find it in the "data" folder, and in "Runtime," and so on, but nothing appears about where it should be in Content. Still, it does load.

In regards to the tickets that aren't being answered, which department were they submitted to? Tech or Sales?

Nearly every support ticket I have submitted to Daz3D over the past 20 years has been acknowleged via an email and subsequently ignored. I can remember only two occasions when someone did respond. Honestly, the forum is daz support -- especially Richard Haseltine, from whom I have learned much and for whom I am very grateful!

It is linked to Daz Studio, but a seperate installation.

Try to search for default in DIM (if yoiu are using that), or default in Products in Smart Content.

Yes, mostly they work. Assets in Poser format are installed in: your Daz Library\Runtime... no matter they're EXE installer or IM packages. Search them under Poser Format in DS.

Yes, I've read that a lot of those capacitors are counterfeit. It must be true because I read it on my news app though it's suddenly disappeared.

has anyone noticed the same few people keep asking how to do different things in the forum and if the answer is Carrara they tend to ignore it  to be fair I toss Bryce into my answers too 

things like creating terrains or heightmaps to export, creating trees, other things we can do

I see it again and again

Yes, we have had reports of this - though my replies seem to use the corect formatting. Delorean is harmless, it is a Daz sub-domain, but it isn't intended for this and so may well not work.

Moved to the Commons as it is not a Daz Studio toipic.

The people making the promo images have a lot of experience, and want really good renders to show off their products. More often than not the textures are from standard characters, and even the shapes may be or may be mixed from a couple of different characters or morph sets. As for selling the, some PAs want to keep an exclusive, signature character - though many do answer questions about how they mixed up their promo models if asked (check character identification threads on the forum for products where you like the model).

I'm not sure it's entirely true. Yes, many forum users are looking for at least 70%, but ultimately, for people with tighter hobby budgets, it does make a difference whether that 70% off is $5 or $10. I personally don't look at the percentage when making my purchase decisions. I look at the amount of dollars I will have to pay. And if someone has $50 to spend, a super duper pro bundle that costs $100 is still going to be too expensive even if it's 90% off. Most people won't buy more expensive things just because they're 70% off (unless they have a lot of money anyway and they want to feel they got a deal).

Of course, we're always told that forum users are but a small fraction of shoppers and not representantive of the whole, but at some point, unless you're producing super-exclusive and expensive product people with a lot of money want, you'll likely feel the departure of those non-representative customers.

I feel quality is slipping too. Don't get me wrong - most of the best artists are here. Or artists who're creating specifically for Daz. But when I look at what the store offers and size it up to elsewhere - yes, things are more expensive elsewhere, but I'm going to put my neck out and say that the best Genesis character artists aren't on the Daz store - people who are creating distinctive, varied characters without access toproprietary sub-division tools that artists here have. Maybe it's because they don't have sub-division and an HD label to rely on? Maybe it's because Daz is simply one string to their bow?

I don't shop at other places, mostly because of lack of Smart Content integration—to me, Content Library is such an unintuitive mess without any uniform structure, that it feels like a pain to use. I also don't shop at other places, because the ones I checked out look like a cheap fleamarket in comparison to Daz as it was until recent months. The quality slipping is visible even in the quality of promo pictures and messy item naming conventions (new PAs using their own with disregard to what's established at the store).

I'm certain I'll still buy from the Daz store after my exit, but it'll be on the same terms that I buy elsewhere.

I'm certain I'll be shopping here too (and I still have months of Daz+ to go), but when the store gets too expensive, spending gets much more restrained and cautious. Instead of the "I don't need it, but I can afford it, and I like it", it becomes "do I _really_ need it?" I can already see that change of perspective when I browse offers (like featured artists). But when you have some odd $20 to spend at a given day, and in the past you could get 4-8 products for it, but now it's only going to be 2, it feels like getting less value for your money.

And yes, I understand inflation. I'm very well aware that artists have to eat and pay bills too. But at some price point, I won't be able to support them and Daz anymore, because, well, I have to eat and pay bills too. My cover designer raised his prices twice in the past 4 years. And, sadly, after the last price raise, I'm not going to use him anymore, because I simply can't afford him. In case of Daz, I've been with using it (and buying) for a few years now, so I do have assets to use, therefore I don't have to buy more save maybe for some odd item here and there.
