  • Renderosity content disappeared.

I can't find any of my Renderosity content in the content Libraray. (NOT smart content, but the other one.) I only have a few and don't use them often, so I don't know how long they've been missing.

I checked, and the files are still in their various folders in My DAz 3D Library. One of the missing is Chihiro, and gen3 character morph. When I open up the file I rendered with her, she appears naked, hairless, in the default g3 pose. The figure in the Scene tab is listed as "Genesis 3 Female" but looking at her it's obvoious she's a morph. The old thumbnail in My Library/Figures shwos here with hair.

What the heck is going on, and how do I fix it?

  • Duplicate Formulas Error Solved! Thank you Bejaymac!

IS there a quick and dirty way to fix the Duplicate Formulas Error

First two errors are due to missing morphs, the Joequick morphs are looking for morphs from other products and you either don’t have them or don’t have them installed.

    Thank you, Thank you Bejaymac

The duplicate formula errors are easy enough to fix, DS4.5 or 4.6 will do it for you.

    1) load Genesis into an empty scene, you’ll get the error message, just click it to carry on.
    2) find the offending morph(s) in the Parameters tab, in this case it Actor/Universal/Fantasy SciFi and it’s the HFS_Shapes_Head01 morph.
    3) Dial the morph to make sure it works and then zero it again.
    4) at one end of the dial you’ll see a little “cog”, click on it and in the little menu that opens click on Parameter settings.
    5) in the new window that has just opened you will see a Color A & a Color B, click on Color B to open the color picker.
    6) Set the color to 254, 254, 254 and click OK.
    7) Click “Accept” at the bottom of the Parameter Settings window.
    8) After that window closes go “File > Save As > Support Asset > Save Modified Assets”.

DS will do a quick scan of the figure and open a small window that should only have the one file listed, accept it and DS will replace the old file with a new updated one.

You can now clear the scene and Genesis will no longer give you that error from that morph, you might still get it from others, but you now know how to fix it.

Thanks! This resolved the "duplicate formula" issue that I encountered a couple of days ago in DAZ Studio 4.10 (!)

  • Hell Ambassador HD for Genesis 8 Male and Female [Commercial]

Is the brain-like skin texture necessary as part of the shaping morph?

You can use whatever textures you want with this guy, but all the intricate shapes of the head and body are part of the HD morph.

I’ll make a clay render of him so that you can see him with no textures.

If you mean this one, there is installation information inside the zip file in the Documentation folder. Does that help or do you need more assistance?

  • [Released] Character Converter from Genesis 3 Female to Genesis 8 Female(Now Conv JCMs) [Commercial]

Okay, I have a question.  It's probably been addressed but I don't remember seeing this, so forgive me for repeating something.  I finally got a chance to transfer Ophelia 7 over.  First time I did it, the texture was all over the place.  So, I remember reading in the instructions that there was a setting that allowed for proper transfer of the UVs but only for those characters made with the base Genesis 3 model, not the custom ones like Ophelia 7.  So I unchecked this option and transferred.  As you can see, it transferred great but not the UV.  One on the left is Ophelia 7 for Genesis 8...lol.

Can the custom UV issue be fixed for the custom Genesis 3 models, am I doing something wrong, or will we have to use something like the Legacy UV utilities to get to to attach correctly?

I think you are misremembering or I wrote the manual poorly.  CC only copies the materials.  If the G3F character has materials that don't use the Base UV Set, you are going to see seam problems.  In that case, you need to use something like https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-3-character-uvs-for-genesis-8-female

  • Can someone convince Maelwenn to make Lydia HD for Genesis 8 female?

They released a character converter for Gen 3 characters that will convert her for you! I hope that helps!

It won't convert the HD morph though.

Which is a shame, but I doubt it's vital... you could prbably use one another vendors HD morph over the top and obtain similar results.

  • Technique for delicate dforce adjustments?

dForce Magnet might be useful to you: https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-magnet

(For a different type of fine adjustments, exporting the results of dForce to an OBJ file and editing it as a morph in something like Blender can also be a very useful tool).

    He is so cool!
Will he have separate head morph?

Unfortunately no. I did try to make him with separated head and body morphs but it didn’t work right because of all the intricate HD details he has in the neck. But you can still combine him with other body morphs like bodybuilder or emaciated and such. Doing so you can change his proportion to your liking.

  • AIUTO...CHI CONOSCE L’ITALIANO? PARTE DODICI

  • How G8F morphs automatically work on her dress?

The morph is projected - I don't know the details, but it seems to look at how the vertices of the figure near any given vertex of the drss have been moved from their zero state and then to move the dress vertex to match. This is an aplication feature, not a content feature - if the game engine doesn't have somethign similar you would have to provide the derss with matching morphs yourself, and have the game engine apply the morphs in both.

  • Whitney hair soft look morph

That does look good, nice work!  Anyone who has it, are there any built in morphs that may take this even further over the eye?  If so, I may be tempted to buy it! laugh

I don't think so. But, you could dial in my morph to pull the bangs forward, then add a dformer to pull them over the eye, then save that as a new morph.
