If you buy it, there is a chance you might find you have a high waisted skirt. I checked each skirt I have against Victoria 9 and I had 14 outfits which had a waistline that might meet up with the blouse. Some of them also had a short blouse/sweater the same length shown in the promos. It surprised me how many skirts and pants had low waists dropping an estimated 1 - 2 inches below the natural waistline, some much lower.

Richard I hope this helps you decide if the blouse is potentially useful. I also looked at the morphs, and while I am not an expert at reading the Read Me, it looks like there is something there. You might want to look at that.

On a separate note, I found a few of the 'skirts' that were coded as 'footwear', 'shirts', and 'pants'. Sigh. At least I was able to fix my files.

2. Open these copy in a text editor (like Notepad++)

4. Replace Genesis9 by Genesis8Female (some text editors are able to do a serch and replace in all files opened).
5. Save these changes, and enjoy your newly G8 compatible H.mats.

You may have to uncompress the .duf files (which can be done using Batch Convert in Daz Studio).

I dont know about converting to various kinds of rigging, but the process for converting old shapes and textures to G9 is like only 1 page of instructions covering:
1. Convert shape to new figure (i.e., us Faceform Wrap or use a Clone)

• morph loader
• adjust rigging to shape
• ERC freeze

2. Convert texture to new UVs (i.e., use Faceform Wrap texture transfer, or baking process)

3. Export correctives

4. Load correctives

5. Set up correctives

The real question is is there anything in older generations worth converting anyway?

Usually it is only the shape that is worth converting, which means step 2 can be skipped.

Most characters do not have 100s of correctives to fix. They only have like 5-20 max. Also they are symmetrical, so it's not like those are all "unique" and require much thought to set up after doing it for other side.

The value in having Daz or Daz vendors do this is that they can bring over HD morphs from previous generations.

In short, no. 

Doing a basic conversion of the shape and textures is one thing, but there's a lot more to the model than that; any number of corrective bend shapes and the like that take a large portion of the time, and those are specific to each figure base.

And each time a shape or texture is transferred, it loses quality, and you would then have to repair that.

And then you've got to go beyond that to actually make the figure an upgrade rather than a straight copy that few would see the point in grabbing.

Generally, it's not much effort saved to just start on something new and it'll have a larger market than something you already sold to people five years ago.

Part of it is a tech issue - Genesis 9 has new features that aren't available/compatible with Genesis 8/8.1.  As for characters like Alexandra 8 or Victoria 8, these are add ons; they aren't new models, they're modified versions of the base G8 figure with new textures.

Thanks to all the stacking discounts I've mostly been buying older products... things that I passed on for use in the past both at here and at Rendo, but that for prices between 70 cents and 3 bucks will be useful for kitbashing.  Some things, though I still have little use for.  Expression packs for pre-8.1 that just bog down loading, texture sets for items that are only minor changes from the original or where I can easily duplicate the same thing with shaders I already own, shader packs that basically duplicate ones that I already own (how many floral or plaid patterns can anyone need?) short skirts that are indistinguishable from 70 I already own, and pose packs that duplicate the same old Vickie posing like she's at a model shoot instead of someone doing normal motions, and so on.... The one thing that really stands out, overall, though, through all this weeding and cherrypicking, is how less interesting so many of the newer products are.  It's astonishing how many G9 hairs don't even have movement morphs now, and it's espcially shocking to find them missing on so many items that aren't even set up for d-force. I thought we'd stopped doing that back in the days of Victoria 3, for cripes sake...

Well, technically it's that there are no Darius or Monique 9 YET, as DAZ is still cranking out new base figures at a stupid pace so there's always a possibility that they'll show up.  That said, G9 seems to have abandoned a lot of the classic character names beyond Michael and Victoria, with Teen Josie becoming just Josie 9 and the venerable Aiko 9 reduced to a premier only add-on.

The Nile Sun and Safari Retreat

After the political debacle, the Fernandes family sent Remigio abroad, until the storm had calmed down. Remigio got a brilliant idea while travelling in Egypt. He bought a hotel complex close to the Nile river, and fenced off the crocodiles, so the tourists could swim in the same water as crocodiles without any dangers. Everything was smooth, until this guy calling himself Tarzan, started to challenge the tourists to dive from the natural stone bridge, on the wrong side of the fence.

Yeah, looking for freebies on Deviantart is painful. I'm at a point where I think I have saw and saved most of them, so I'm just looking at the result of a search for 'daz freebie' and I think it'll caught most of them (not all, some people don't use either words sadly).

I had my eyes on the Verse line by Aeon Soul and finally got the Verse Moi outfit a week ago. I wanted to see it in action and bought it with the idea of using it with Victoria 8.1 so the work started with adjusting how that outfit fited on her, using Blender.

Morning stroll in New York

’Finally, some of time off’, thought both at the end of a hectic exams season.

Thankfully, they had planned for it in advance, dreaming about it on many occasions, and could travel to New York as soon as possible, jumping on a high-speed train, with the idea of enjoying the countryside around the railroads.

Alas, they didn’t see that much: both were sound asleep before their train was even able to achieve its top speed.

Better luck on their way back home?

Maybe.

Meanwhile, thanks to that impromptu sleep time, both were in perfect shape and could get out of their hotel early on.
