I'm not clear on the issue - are the products showing as not isntalled at all in DS, even though they are installed through Daz Central/Daz Install Manager, so that double-clicking one causes DS to try to download it? That would indicate a problem with the communication between Daz Studio and/or the installer and the PostgreSQL database used by the Content Management System.
Also, what products are they and what files are you trying to load, if it isn't a ttoal installation failure? An error message telling you to check the log file can happen if you try to load a preset (for pose, shape, or materials) without having the base model loaded and selected.

Where exactly is this database located Ie: file path ?
What is the file name of this database?

Exact names and file paths would greatly assist.
Is there no DAZ documentation on moving conent to a new computer (steps to be taken, required files to be backed up, etc)?

Saved over base genesis 8 female morph *FIXED*Here is exactly what I did:
- Loaded my OC into a blank scene
- File > Save as > Support Asset > Figure/Prop Asset
- Saved file as "..." in my USB, where I keep my Daz project/scene files. All of my Daz product files are saved on my harddrive. I later deleted that file I made off my USB before realizing the morphs now change all of my genesis 8 female models
- Asset directory, I chose either: D:\Users\Public\My DAZ 3D Library or D:\Computer Folders\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library, the second one being where I install all of my manual installs and 3rd party content, the first being where Daz central saves my stuff (I think)
- I then mistakenly left everything as is:
- Vendor Name = DAZ 3D
- Product Name = Genesis 8
- Item Name = Female
- Set Content Type = Actor > Character
- Set Compatibility Base = Genesis 8 Female (or whatever the default is)
- Write Gemoetry Definitions checked off
- Write Parameter Definitions checked off
- Write UV Definitions checked off
- Compress File(s) checked off
It then proceeded to work for a very long time in which thats when my mistake occured.
I did all of your steps, @PerttiA and still no dice. I will attach my log.

I think I have solved it. I get the content installed in the right place now.One new question pops up. Since DIM whithout my knowledge changed the installation paths, I have now content on two different drives.
DIM won't change paths without being told to (or corruption in the user profile file). Daz Central would, on initaal release, overwrite the DIM paths with its own defaults but I beleive that has been corrected.
The majority is on the K: drive but some have been installed on the C: drive. Since I have made scenes with content from the C: drive; what will happen the next time i load the scenes if I have transfered the items from C: to K:?
Will the scenes still load as they should?Yes, where possible (where the content is in an active content directory) DS uses only the relative path (the location within the content directory) when saving scenes and presets.
Is there a difference if I transfere with copy and paste to K, or delete from C: and download everything again, but installing on K:?
If you have the zips you can also just select the items in the Installed tab of DIM and use the right-click option to reinstall using the current path.
Regardless of the my issue here, I think there is a need for updated information on how the DIM works. it is today impossible to find out without experimentation.

DAZ 3d keeps opening instead of hexagon from launcherSame issue..
It shows up in my Daz Central Dashboard as an installed app v2.5.2.109.
When I attempt to launch Hexagon from my Dashboard it opens DS instead

Faded Illusions outfit stuck in update loopHi
I purchased the https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-faded-illusions-for-genesis-8-and-81-females outfit on its own and have encountered an issue with it.
I downloaded it using DAZ Connect and it straight away then wanted to be updated so clicked update and sometime later the update completed and the update me icon was still there so i clicked update and after completeing it still wants to update....
So tried downloading through Daz Central and it still wants to update
So tried DIM.... its not in DIM at all
Now in the log file its failing to update

It's "Content Base Path" that you want to redirect to your K: drive. If you keep the installer .zip files after installation then you probably want to move the "Package Archive" to K: too, because it will get very large.
Personally I also keep the Thumbnails, Manifests and Content Database on my content drive too. These are smaller so less important to move, but I like to keep everything in one place.
I always use "Advanced Settings" in DIM rather than Basic" - I'm not sure how to change the paths in Basic - maybe you click on those "..." lines?
You can use the drop-down menu in Basic Settings to select a base directory, as with Daz Central, or you can use the defaults. Advanced allows setting individual paths.

Suddenly installing on the wrong discI'm suddenly having an issue with DAZ Central (and IM) inställning things on the wrong disc and I can't change it.
Background:
I don't know what's relevant or not, but here it is.
I've hade problems for some time with DS crashing, several times a day. A week or two ago I was prompted by Daz Studio to reinstall the program.
I did, but afterwards IM suddenly couldn't detect any of owned items. Not a major problem since they were useable in DS.
Then I realized I won't get update notifactions as long as IM don't believe I have my items installed. I started to download everything (10.000+ items) again. Everyhing went well, untill the harddrive was full.I have the program DS on my C: drive and the content on my K: drive. So it has been for several years.
Turns out IM suddenly started to download things to my C: drive, filling it to the brim with data.Tried to find a solution, but the instructions for the settings in IM seems to be outdated.
I freed up the lost space on my C: drive and started to download things with Daz Central instead.
Didn't work. DC also puts everything on my C: drive.
In the attached image you can see my settings. I believe they are correct if I want the DS program on the C: drive, and the content on the K: drive.
Any ideas what I should do?

Daz 4.15Tried to install both manual and through DIM.
You have obviously installed it via DAZ Studio's direct install. Script-based utilities usually do not work when installed that way (Hint: anything that is installed in ....My Daz Connect Library/cloud ... should ring the alarm bell). And, if it has been installed via DAZ Connect, that installation takes precedence over a DIM installation.
I would recommend the following:
- Uninstall the product using DIM (if you have installed it via DIM)
- Go to your DAZ Connect library C:/Users/Finn/Documents/DAZ 3D/Studio/My Daz Connect Library/data/cloud
- Remove the 1_80603 directory
- Re-install using DIM.
That should fix your issue. Never ever use DAZ Connect or DAZ Central to install script-based utilities. The scripts may use other scriipts, and look for them in a set of locations. DAZ Connect seems to install some of those in random places.

HeadShop products DO NOT use DAZ Central or DIM installers, new how-to video posted.We would like to clear up some confusion. The DAZ product page of OneClick2021 erroneously states that OneCkick2021 uses DAZ Central installers. That is explicitly not true.
HeadShop products come with their own installers and a README document that explains the simple install process.
We have attached a version of the README to this article. Once installed, HeadShop launches directly from DAZ Studio under the Edit menu.
