I think I've seen someone else mentioning receiving a "some products are not available via DIM" message on one order but they had no problem downloading the products with DIM.

Looks to me that there's a problem with that message displaying when it shouldn't. Though the bundle itself doesn't have a DIM link since what you actually download are the individual product. That might be why the message appeared?

Where does it say that?

Ever since the store update, if Daz Central was mentioned as the only option, it meant the download links were not yet ready, not even for Daz Central - Apparently putting Daz Central on everything is hardcoded to the templates in case someone hasn't seen it mentioned 

Daz Central is just dumbed down version of DIM with fewer options for someone that has just bought the first ever computer and if it is possible to install a product with Daz Central, it is just as possible to do it with DIM

I bought some stuff and installed it via Daz-Central. Everything installed fine and i saw the product images inside the Smart Tab. I restartet Daz after a while and now all product images of the stuff i bought(~8 items) are gone, except for the new "hot tube" freebie one. I updated the metadata and reinstalled them several times with Daz-Central and directly in Daz. But nothing seems to fix it. All other productts i own are ok, just not the ones i bought the last 2 days. How can i fix it?

Works for me - it might be worth uninstalling/reinstalling DIM to make sure the browser has been told what to do with the DIM links.

DIM links on the Order page works fine, as to DIM links in general, but that's not the issue. It's the link on the page directly after a purchase.

 

On the page shown after purchase the "Download via DIM" button is just a link to an info page about DIM. Before it had the actual DIM link which saved extra steps and was a useful function. That was the original behavior anyway. When Central arrived they removed the DIM link entirely. Then added it back. Then later changed the link to be the DIM info page (there was a few more steps of it coming and going) which it's been stuck at for a while now.

 

Also... the current PC+ "free" item Hot Tub is another "non DIM" item, and wont give the link and is "not currently avaible", yet actually works completely fine with DIM..

You don't need to do that. In fact, you're now installing your stuff twice. The area you're looking at is Daz Connect, another way to install your content. But it'll be the same stuff you'd get with DIM or 'central'. If you're missing out on items (I assume you can't find them in the smart content pane?) then check the content library (yet another pane). In specific the 'products' section, not all the stuff you buy on the website will end up in smart content.

Yesterday I have installed all my products on new computer via DIM.
But when I go into my content library, my products are not installed and I have to right click on each product (a lot) to install them.

Is there a way to click on time to install all?

I have installed and reinstalled DIM to no avail.  I also even downloaded Daz Central, then used it to instal DAZ Studio, but DS also would not take my password.  I have put in a ticket and I will update if a solution is found.  I'm updating this board in case anyone here has ideas of what could possibly be wrong.

Downloaded Daz Central on my iMac Mid-2015 and just unpacks itself. When I click Daz Central (64 bit) Unix Executable, the installer says "daz central is damaged and can't be opened" then suggests I put it in the bin.

Any thoughts?

Anyone else know why Daz Central has frozen on this screen while trying to install Daz Studio?

When I try to get information on context via Install manager or DAZ Central I mostly get this info:

Only after refreshing the page multiple times i get the actual product information, this is going on since the store update and is extremly annoying as I am trying to install some content at the moment, is there a known fix?

That looks as if it was installed through Connect (that is, through Daz Studio) and did not properly decrypt. I would report that as a possible product issue to support https://www.daz3d.com/help and then uninstall (via right-click) within DS and try with Install Manager or Daz Central.

I downloaded through DIM yesterday without issue. Her hair, again showed up in Lost and Found, with only the Hair itself with metadata. I finally backed up my libraries, deleted everything, unisntalled daz studio, DIM, etc.

Reinstalled Daz Studio via Daz Central, this time putting everything on the correct drive from the start and...  Have an actual figure labeled "Gensis 8.1" I did not have before.

So apparently my efforts previous to update to 8.1 did not work and thats what caused the issue.

Everything looks to be working as intended.

Looking at the Screen cap, they aren't installed.

Hence the greyed out thumbnails and the "Installed:No" in the "Tips" section at the bottom.

As richard says, try reinstalling.

If that doesn't work, with DIM, connect, or central, try manually reinstalling.

 

Central is not great, it is grating.  Central is a dumbed down version of DIM.  Switching to DIM may not solve your install problems though if you don't set the install location to a library path that Studio knows about.

That was a bug in an older version.  You can get a newer version from Daz Central if you're using UE4.26.  Otherwise you need to download it here: https://github.com/daz3d/DazToRuntime/releases/tag/4.1.0-unreal

Started using DazCentral, in theory it seems great, except that it doesn't seem to actually do what it claims to do.

First issue: Installing Content doesn't actually 'Install' the content?

I used it to 'install' the content for Daz / 3ds Max / Maya as prompted, but:

- when I go to Daz, in both the 'Smart Content' panel and the 'Install' panel I then have to 'install' the content again since it doesn't seem to be actually installed.

Second Issue, there is an 'open' button in Daz Central, but it...doesn't do anything

I can often find the asset that I'm looking for in the Daz Central list, but finding the corresponding package in the Daz content library is next to impossible, so I'm hoping that the 'Open' button in Daz Central would...I dunno...Open the asset pack in the Smart Content panel so I can work with it?

Except...clicking 'Open' does literally nothing. Same with 3ds Max and Maya assets.

If I open the settings dropdown I can see that DazCentral has properly found the different applications and is pointing to the correct folders for the content library and the applications?

I guess my question is 'what is Open supposed to do in DazCentral'?
