Sub dragon
This is the response from technical support that resolves this issue. You simply uninstall the dsb file they have indicated. If you remove the dsb and re install the software - your have to remove the dsb file again - All I had on my machine was the sub dragon dsb.
Hi Richard,
Thanks for sharing. We appreciate it. The last couple of comments in the thread are correct. There is an issue with one files in the PowerLoader. This is true with the dragon, M4 and V4. This has been reported to the bug tracker.
You can fix the issue by doing the following:
Uninstall the PowerLoader and run a search for SubDragon.dsb, Victoria 4.2.dsb or
Michael 4.dsb and delete it. If there is more than one, delete them all. This is the file causing the error. Please let me know if you have further questions.
Thanks,

Otherwise, it's pretty much the same as transferring a character. Also, you need to inject the morphs for M4 (or V4). DS is doing this automatically, if you have Power Loader active. For GenX, you first load the M4 figure, and then you inject the morph INJ poses by drag'n'drop from the DS content library. The INJ poses for morphs++ are located in /Runtime/libraries/Pose/Michael 4.
If you need further instructions, please let me know at which point of the transfer you encounter problems.
Thank you very much!
I just tried and I managed to transfer some of the morphs (one a time), but at least looks like I know how to do it :DNew Release: Genesis Generation X2 (upgrade ends soon) [Commercial]To transfer individual morphs, you mainly use the transfer mode "Selected morphs" to transfer each morph selected in the list individually without using the actual morph value. New Release: Genesis Generation X2 (upgrade ends soon) [Commercial]Instead of creating new topic, I decided to ask my question here. It might be about the most obvious thing in regards of using GenX2 but... Being self-taught in DAZ Studio, and not born English speaker means sometimes I can't get through some more complicated tasks. I installed GenX2 and for the last couple days tried to learn how to use it, and with the manual and some digging through the forum I managed to transfer some of M4 characters (like Falcon etc.) to G2M. But no matter how I tried I can't transfer morphs the same way.
Could you please tell me in simple worlds how to, for example transfer Michael 4 Morphs++ ( http://www.daz3d.com/michael-4-morphs ) to Genesis 2 Male?Poser Pro 2014 and Victoria 4.2Hello, I think this is a pretty complex problem when you look at it, but I guess there is a solution too.
First, take a look at the scripts, in this case the DzCreateExPFiles-M4.command
#!/bin/bash cd "$(dirname "$0")" ./DzCreateExPFiles.app/Contents/MacOS/DzCreateExPFiles "Michael 4" "M4" exitI tried to run the script as root but it failed too so I cd:ed into the app-bundle DzCreateExPFiles.app/Contents/MacOS/
and did an ls, and guess what?
304 -rw-rw-rw- 1 totte totte 153280 24 Feb 2007 DzCreateExPFiles
The file lacks the execution bits so I set them with sudo chmod +x DzCreateExPFiles
304 -rwxrwxrwx 1 totte totte 153280 24 Feb 2007 DzCreateExPFiles
Now it works much better ;-)
I guess this calls for a bugreport to DAZ.
If Starting From Scratch- DIM and Studio, How To Customize CategoriesA popup will appear that says Categories.
Click it to get the dropdown. Default will be next.
Click that and there's your list, with Expressions in the list.Select Expressions, and M4 will appear as a sub-menu under it. select it and Accept and there you go, your 100 Expressions for Michael 4 can be easily found in Categories by going to Expressions>Michael 4. :)
If Starting From Scratch- DIM and Studio, How To Customize CategoriesNow let's put sub categories (M4, V4 etc) under Expressions.
Select Expressions and right click.
Click on Create A Sub-Category.
The popup comes up and name it Michael 4
Click Okay and you have a Michael 4 sub-folder under Expressions.Next we'll get the product into it.
Help with Michael 4 Morphs? You'll need to purchase the Michael 4 Morphs++ pack and install them to the same folder as M4.
Once their installed, load the figure in your program, then in your Library go to Pose > Daz's Michael 4 > Morph Injections folder and double click INJ Morphs++. This will load the Morphs into the figure.
The sliders for the Morphs will be listed under Morphs | Shapes on the Parameters Tab, and will be listed on the Shaping Tab.
Poser Pro 2014 and Victoria 4.2I have a similar problem. I used the DIM files for the Generation 4 models such as Michael 4 and Victoria 4 with morph ++. The files will not initialize at all. I sent in a ticket for help as well. For some reason, Maverick OS X 10.9.2 will not allow me to use the .command to run even though I have full ownership of the files that I have just downloaded manual from Daz.
It says the following things when I try to initialize it within the folder:
You do not have enough privileges to run command prompt.
At other times, the .command line will run and it says: Permission denied.
My Get info information is as follows:
System, wheel, and everyone is set to Read and Write.
The problem is that if I use Poser to install the zip with the Content folder taken out. It will not prompt me for a password.
I am on an i7 with a 2gb graphics card and 16 gb available ram memory and a 1 TB HDD.
I have been getting the same symptoms with Mountain Lion and later.
I found out that if you run the .command in my external hdd then it executes. What seems to be the problem?
I, also, tried to use the DAZ Installer and the same thing occurs. Is the smart content or initialization for both characters available?
Sorry, I am kind if frustrated and new to this. I haven't had a problem with this. I used to copy my files to hdd and forget running or extracting the DIM files because it took too long. Please help. Thanks.
Help with Michael 4 Morphs?Hi, I'm new to Daz and to 3D modeling software in general. I've gotten the hang of the basics, but I'm having an issue with M4. See, I bought and downloaded Micheal 4 Base and the install went fine, but I can't seem to use any morphs on him, when I select the the model in the scene list, the "Actor" option in the Parameters tab doesn't show up and I don't get any option in the "shaping" pane. It works fine with the Genesis 2 Model so IDK what's going on. Do I need the Pro Suite or the Morphs++ for them to work properly on M4, what's going on?
Thanks to anyone who can help em solve this problem.
Missing AutoFit Options?
So, if you buy those, do the auto-fits work for those in Genesis 2? Do you have those products?JimmyC_2009 said:Your confusion arises from not understanding where the clones come from I think.
Unless you buy the appropriate packages from the store, you wont see these options for Genesis 2. Genesis (original) had clones for V4, M4 and K4 supplied free with the Autofit plugin, Genesis 2 does not have this.
For example, for V4, you need this for Genesis 2 : http://www.daz3d.com/victoria-4-for-genesis-2-female to get the Autofit clone.
And this for M4 : http://www.daz3d.com/michael-4-for-genesis-2-male
I'm sure there are others too, but I just did a quick search.
I was under the understanding that Genesis 2 was simply no yet fully supported in Carrara 8.5, but if buying those products make auto-fit work for them, I'm in!Superheroes Rebooted - Ready to Rrrrrender? So, I took a crack at Captain America
he is a Genesis hand spun male with an M4 Character textures and Subsurface Shader Base
His suit is the Genesis Super suit (some shaders are from the supersuit and others are not sets. Not sure which ones are from what super suit set as I just bought Supersuit Pro Bundle )
-the white parts or his suit are a white letaher preset from the Super suit set
-the blue is a combination of color maps I made in Photoshop layed over Leather Factory Shaders for DAZ Studiobase
-the Harness and pouches come from Ghost Agent for Michael 4 and Hiro 4 and ArtemisX for Genesis
-the boots are from Uniforms for Michael 6
-Last but not least the Shield and gloves came from F4 First Avenger at Share CGall of which I used various shaders for (some listed above, but putting them below for your convince):
Hardcore Utility Shaders DS
Leather Factory Shaders for DAZ Studio
Supersuit Pro Bundle shaders

Capt. Von Ray having won his star, but a great price, releases the crew of The Roc on his childhood home world New Brazillia. In Delany's story Ashton Clark was a philosopher whose work influenced the creation of the neural plugs that made it possible for humans to interface with technology, redefining the meaning of work and labor for mankind. It became customary to wish someone beginning new employment "Ashton Clark".
The final (for now) render in series of renders based on the 1968 novel "Nova". Characters created using Michael 4. Hair: Goya and Mon Chevalier by Neftis. Mouse' hair modeled in Hexagon 2.5. Quick question regarding DOW John characterThe textures will work on Genesis 1 with nothing extra, or on G2M with the "Michael 4 for Genesis 2 Male" product.
Quick question regarding DOW John characterOk this is going to sound like a totally newbie question...but....I know that Down John (http://www.daz3d.com/dow-john) is for Michael 4 Morphs++ however I know with the proper shape such as http://www.daz3d.com/v4-and-m4-shapes-for-genesis Genesis can or I assume http://www.daz3d.com/michael-4-for-genesis-2-male will do the same for genesis 2 at least the skins. I know the full character morphs etc won't with out Michael 4 and morphs ++ BUT will the skin maps still work ok?
I am assuming yes, but want to make sure. :)

Wanted to show you rBot, which is another fun product you can get with your rewards. So he/she wouldn't be lonely, I brought in Knid and Cyborg Version 4. rBot is helping Cyborg V4 learn how to ride- it's different than a horse. Please note, the Cyborg MODEL 4 is for Michael 4, and the VERSION 4 is for Victoria. If you are just going by what is listed in your Scene tab, it may get confusing as it says "Cyber V4" so it took me a bit to find what was what.
The rBot has glowing sections (the light blue) and is really a fun bot- so consider him for your MM rewards :)
EDIT: Added a second image.
Freddy Krueger blade-gloveI may release in store, first i have to refit to genesis 2 and M4\V4. And then read about how to add it to the marketplace. Also I would like to rework the textures, because they are the same texture maps I use in 3ds MAX a while back, and they look odd in Daz Studio. And the leather glove belongs to Nerd3D "Nerd3D Gloves Set for Michael 4" in Daz Store, so you would have to purchase that too.
Here is a newer render in MAX, the rivet areas still need some work
OptiTex Dynamic ClothesI understood Khory but what I need is to achieve a good result with those clothes; If I will not, it means I threw almost 20 euros in the trash.
I took a look at the thread you suggested but it's so long and now here it's quite late.
Tomorrow I will take a look more in deep but actually the only thing I would like to know is if with Michael 4 and Victoria 4 (or Michael 4 and Victoria 4 for Genesis 2) or with the Dynamic Control Plugin, the dynamic clothes I bought can work correctly (my collision setting are OK I guess so I definitely don't know where I have to act to correct the mistakes).
I can buy any of the above items without any problem because I definitely need this kind of clothes for an upcoming project.
As far as I know there are not more biblical, ancient tunics and nun clothes for Genesis/2 or other DAZ Characters around, am I wrong?OptiTex Dynamic ClothesMJC, the 'no ear' morph is very useful actually and it improved a bit the rendering but still the draping is not good enough.
Moreover the one for Genesis 1 posted on sharecg is working perfectly while the ones for Victoria 4 and Michael 4 (posted on OptiTex website) seem not working on Genesis 2.I tried following the advice of Khory but maybe I am not skilled enough with DAZ because the Nun's wimple is still not working at all.
Since I do definitely need those clothes with head pieces (Biblic, Sheperd tunics) and Wimple (Nun), do you think I will solve the problem by buying Victoria 4 and Michael 4 characters? If so I will do it immediately, no problems.
Or maybe I could buy this for Genesis
