DAZ CENTRAL gets stuck installing DAZ Studio
Hello.
I have an issue with DAZ CENTRAL and the installation of DAZ Studio, which seems completely stuck. The installation progress bar is stuck at something like 60-70% {even if no percentage is shown, which is quite bad, I can tell, in terms of UI/GUI Design!}.
I keep on checking the size of my drives to check if there is any variation in free space and in over half a hour there is no variation. I checked the installation path and nothing new is there, no files, no folders, nothing. I checked the TEMP folders, any possible folder to find any presence of new downloaded content, any data file, any zipped file. Zero!
What is going on!? I can't believe this is normal. Wasn't DAZ CENTRAL supposed to be faster than the previous Installation Manager!? It cannot be an in download connection issue because my fiber is running between 60mbps up to over 74mbps.
This is really insane. I'm tempted to quit the popup because I'm afraif I might waste the installation progress if that's someway still effectively running. I'm desperate. i hope somebody reads this soon because I really dunno what to do!
Trouble installing Fluidos IIHi!
You can install them with DIM or Daz Central. But if you prefer to do it manually:
Inside the IM00064599-01_FLUIDOSIIforDazStudioStudioContent.zip and IM00064599-03_FLUIDOSIIforDazStudioTutorials.zip you will see a "content" folder. Uncompress the zips and copy the content of "content" folder to your Daz library (merge the folders).
Inside the IM00064599-02_FLUIDOSIIforDAZStudioWin64bit.zip file you'll see three folders: DAZ Studio_4.5;4.x Public Build;4.x Private Build_(64-Bit), DAZ Studio_4.5;4.x Public Build;4.x Private Build and Temp_(64-Bit).
If you have the last version of Daz Studio 4.14 or later, ignore the content of Temp_(64-Bit) . If not, decompress and run the .bat file.
Localize the "DazStudio4" subfolder of Daz Studio installation. Normally, it's inside of "C:/Program Files/DAZ 3D/" (C: or the disk where you installed it). Copy the content of the folders DAZ Studio_4.5;4.x Public Build;4.x Private Build_(64-Bit), DAZ Studio_4.5;4.x Public Build;4.x Private Build to the "DazStudio4" subfolder (merge the folders).
Finally, register the plugin using your serial number (https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/3916516/#Comment_3916516)
Daz Central and installing Content to D DriveHi I am a longtime Poser user and have decided to try to make the switch to Daz Studio. I will be installing everything using Daz Central and need to know how I can instruct the install manager and Daz Studio to look at the file on my D Drive. This is critical as I have years of content that I will want to be able to use in Daz Studio (since 2002). I know my D drive will not handle it so what is the best way for me to start this off correctly.
I look forward to hearing from you
thanks
Carmen
DAZtoUNREAL: unable to package my project in UNREAL when bridge was usedI am using UNREAL Engine 4.26.1 and DAZ Central says that the DAZtoUNREAL bridge is Version 4.0, not offering an update.

You did actually uninstall the plane within DS, so that its icon was greyed out, before trying to install through Install Manager/Daz Central? It is of course possible that the package itself has corrupt
files, but fairly unlikely.
I extracted the files from the .rar onto the desktop (Overkill) and then drag and roped them individually into their respective folders. Normally I just unzipl them onto the drive's content directory. I am running all my content from an external HD (always have). I also have just moved it because I thought there was a problem with the old drive. However, everything (nearly) is working exactly as it should.
A RAR file?
OK .zip (same thing). :-)
Anyhow all the files are in the exat same folders (th o be honest, there is nowhere else you can put them). I like all my content installed manually and so I can work offline (online is so unreliabale).

Website Suggestion: Predefined Filters in "Product Library"As I couldn't find a "website feedback" section, this appears to be the closes thing.
I would love to see a few userful predefined filters in my "Product Library" as I have been a member for decades and have accumulated quite a bit. My suggestions would include:
- The filters in Daz Central: Assets, Plugins, Compatible Bridges
- Application filters (DAZ Studio and Hexagon; but also Poser, Bryce, Carerra, Hexagon, Lightwave, etc.)
- Additional filters to include things not in the above categories; for example, a Dreamlight3D Video training set.
- A character generation compatibility filter (V4, M4, Genesis, etc.) that don't rely on the vendor having put it in the name.
There are probably more, but these are the ones that, off teh top of my head, I know I would find useful.
Thank you,
- James
Collective3d Portrait Vignettes Contemporary 2 - doesn't seem to be installing correctly. That is a product that was installed through Daz Studio. Find the product (in the Products list in the Content Library pane or the Products tab of Smart Content), right-click on the icon/continaer and select Uninstall, then reinstall. If that doesn't fix it try uninstalling, then install through Install manager or Daz Central (whichever you use for DS itself).

Hi, all. I'm looking for something nice and useful to create and distribute here. What kind of scenes would you like to see in the store?
1. Victorian seashore mansions?
2. Loire Valley chateaux?
3. Atompunk/Cold War/East Germany?
4. Derelict/Urbex abandoned places?
5. Chernobyl/Pripyat?
6. Other...?
Regards.

Some Central European-style cities would be nice. Maybe start with a contemporary set, and then have an add-on to make it a Cold War-themed environment?

No price showing means it's free, right?Genesis (insert whatever number) is for free, and should be more or less installed automatically with Daz Studio.
What that page links to however, are Victoria 8.1 and Michael 8.1, which are "advanced" character packages (with some nice outfits, extra hairs and privates pieces). These are based on the Genesis 8.1 character, and you'd need to have Genesis 8.1 installed to use them, but, these advanced characters do cost money. So, just instal Daz Studio, log into the DIM installer (don't bother with Daz Central, it only causes headaches), install the Genesis 8.1 Essentials Package, and you should have the Genesis 8.1 figures (male and female) with some basic clothes and hairs.
I strongly advise to DO install the other Genesis figures (Genesis, Genesis 2 and Genesis 3) as well, there are some nice free outfits and hairs in those packages as well, and especially the Genesis 3 outfits are easy to fit onto Genesis 8.1 anyway. Just shoes tend to cause problems.Luxury Private Jet Missing (FOUND) Solved!Yep, this is now gone way past frustrating. (and going off-topic now)
In fact, I don't care about the dumbass Jet (it doesn't work if you install it as offline content). I have reinstalled DAZ 4 times now ....cleaned PC, shut down etc. I have given up with the totally crap content manager and the even more ridiculous DAZ Central (WTAF!) I have now installed DS by downloading it. Installing it. Lost a sh** load of textures and content, however now I have the stupid PostgreSQL CMS fault, that I cannot get around. Yes it's pointing at it and yes it's the right one and everything was working fine last week ;(
If anyone can help me with this I will be very grateful. problem. Can you just get rid of online content completely? Is there a way of installing the aforementioned Luxury Jet? If there is I cannot work it out.
Thanks, peep's for your understanding and isn't Poser looking good after 14 yrs of using DS (joking it still doesn't look good)
Luxury Private Jet Missing (FOUND) Solved!Just as a tiny aside, I such faith in DIM and DAZ Central to wrongly install things that I only manual install. The fact that I have an offline machine does make that decision easier, I admit..Luxury Private Jet Missing (FOUND) Solved!I also have Daz Central (from my experience so far this program does absolutely nothing that your web browser doesn't :) I could be wrong of course) I have read all the stuff. Set it up and... it says Assets: "Install" .....and doesn't :(
Also, I am fairly confident that so far it is completely incompatible with the (I don't want to be insulting to Daz) but hopeless Instal manager. Again, I could be wrong. I could have another issue. I could have it set up wrong. But I am an artist, not a computer software developer.
So I am going to reinstall both and check they are pointing the right direction and if it works write my findings here with full apology to all those clever Daz tech peeps that built it all :)

The thing with crypto's is that they are so volatile, it will be hard to agree a price. They could be worth a lot more or a lot less the next day.
Or it could be worth nothing at all in a year from now. The advantage of any real currency is that it is backed by a country. The US FED would just not allow that the Greenback will be over/undervalued too much. Same applies to the ECB concerning the Euro. Who is backing crypto?
That would be hilarious though, as then the US would make it onto its own list of currency manipulators. Not to mention it strikes me as somewhat funny that a country has the power to change the value of its own currency and that is somehow better than the market alone setting said value. And the power is limited anyway, see various countries that had their currency devalued rapidly in crysis.
So yeah I don't know, from that point of view I don't think I'd hold up "real" currency as great examples of how to do it right. You can say what you want but people who had the foresight to invest in bitcoin are rich now, and there's no sign of it being a bubble that's going to burst either. I think it would be much more of a miracle if bitcoin suddenly imploded than if it increased steadily in value at this point. 1 bitcoin is worth 57k dollars currently. It's been at relatively insane levels of value for years and years even if it did go up and down quite a bit at times.
Central banks are notorious in influencing currency value by buying or selling foreign currency. Example: Switzerland coupled the value of the Swiss Franc to the Euro. Then the value of the Euro did constantly go up (because at that time the value of the USD was going down as China sold Dollars). They tried to compensate that by selling Euros. When they had run out of Eurso, the de-coupled the exchange rate of the Swiss Franc. Currencies are a very well stabilized system, as long as the country that issues a currency is stable. If not, currency is devalued. Most unstable countries have a very high inflation, as nobody wants their money (see Venezuela, where inflation is going through the roof).
Error in loading Daz CentralI started getting the same issue since 2 April. The same error comes up for Daz3d - not just Daz Central.
I've re-installed Daz Central and still have the issue. Perhaps it is related to a Windows 10 update?
Connect / DIM - Product preview images downloaded as 0 bytes .jpg (solved)No central thread as there isn't really anything to say (though it has recently been posted that they hope to have it fixed next week). Since this is a necro of a previous issue anyway I am going to lock and sink it after replying.
Connect / DIM - Product preview images downloaded as 0 bytes .jpg (solved)Is there a central thread for the current issue on this topic(problem)? This is an extremely annoying problem seriously interferring with workflow.
Issue with: data/daz 3d/genesis/base/morphs/daz 3d/victoria 4/fhmvictoria4.dsfIssue with: data/daz 3d/genesis/base/morphs/daz 3d/victoria 4/fhmvictoria4.dsf go to load this character SAV Eirene, and I get those loading Error's about victoria 4 morphs and stuff, twice...
As far as I know I got victoria 4.2 and the Moprhs ++ as well. and I installed them again to make sure manually, even though they were installed from Daz Studio Central and Loader.
So not sure waht to do with this to fix it.
any guesses to why?
