  • Still can't delete a keyframe in timeline in 4.14 >_< Daz's animation tool rant

    People get directed to various places to get answers about DAZ things. For instance, if I asked about new features in some version of DAZ I'd get directed to a forum post about the latest version of the software; if I asked about a Filament product I'd get directed to a PDF file, and if I asked about animation or HeadShop I'd get directed to a YouTube video. Whether it's an irrational thought or not, I'm starting to think if you ask how to do something, people get downright offended that you didn't know exactly where to look for the answer. It would go very far if DAZ had a consistent place that they put information about how to do things. Or at the very least, it would be nice if the description of everything would tell you whether you're supposed to be hunting for a forum post, a PDF file, or a YouTube video.

    Credo che quella sia la texture presa drettamente dalla foto, devi usare una skin del character che stai usando

     

    cioè devo mantenere la skin originale del character mi stai dicendo? per esempio se uso genesi 3 female dovrei mantenere quella skin?

    Io usavo una versione ottaugenario dello stesso, e con l'unico character che creai all'epoca, usai una skin di base. In pratica creai un character con un morph per V4, da una foto di mia moglie, però la foto naturalmente non combaciava con l resto della texture, e usai una skin per V4. Non l'avessi mai fatto, mia moglie inizio a provarsi tutti i vestiti di V4 che avevo, trane naturalmente quelli troppo eccessivi.

    E magari ti ha chiesto di comprarle nel mondo reale uno dei modelli DAZ per andare al cinema! laugh Mi immaguiono già a entrare in una boutique e domandare "Vorrei Blinded by the Light per V4, insieme agli UniMesh Fit per mia moglie. Ah, e non dimentichi la Interactive License, non si sa mai..." cheeky

    Parlando di "casa nostra", assolutamente impensabile fare acquisti i questi giorni... Perderò anche queste offerte. crying Ci sono un paio di nuove uscite per Filament e alcuni plugin che meritano, peccato!

    Il risultato finale dovrebbe darti anche un texture per corpo e arti con un tono identico alla base del volto, estratto e applicato in automatico.

    Io ne ho una versione precedente, non so se hanno cambiato qualcosa.

    Purtroppo è anche un software rotto... Per cui non so se dipenda da altro... Prova a usare una base "fresca" e ripetere l'operazione.

    Hello,

    I could fix it and want to post the solution in case others encounter the same problem.

    I uses Windows 10 Pro N with a manually installed media feature pack. This pack was automatically unistalled with the major windows update. The missing files caused the problems in headshop, so a reinstall of the media feature pack fixed the problem.

    The tech support seems to be very helpful by the way.

  • Head Shop 11

    Hey everyone,

    after a recent major Update of Windows 10 Headshop does not run proper on my mashine anymore. Does anyone have similar issues?

    • It starts completly normal.
    • Then I select an image, which is correctly detected
    • When I hit apply, an error occurs. Its german, so I try to translate "The type initialiser for "Emgu.CV.CvInvoke" has caused an exeption."
    • I can hit "continue" or "exit". Exit closes headshop. When I click "Continue", it kind of works, but there are lots of unintended behaviour, which makes it useless.

    I tried it with genesis 2 and genesis 8 figures and of course I reinstalled headshop. The error remains the same. Does anyone have an idea why this happens?

    I bought Headsop 13 with Lovechild and had a serial number no problem. Have never had a problem with this vendor, so it isn't typical.

    In these pictures, the middle picture is the original, the left picture is the Headshop one, and the right picture is the Face Transfer one. My first impression is this software works best on white people. On the two Black girls, regardless of light skin or dark skin, it seems to interpret their actual skin color as more of a blemish painted on the default skin color that it uses.

    No instructions seem to be included. The included PDF file only explains how to install, which involves both clicking on a .exe installer and unzipping a file into a folder created by the installer. Everything I click on in the app generates a popup message linking me to a YouTube video in lieu of included documentation. Maybe I should actually look at those videos to see what I'm missing. But there don't seem to be many adjustments to make to the texture if it's way off. Even mirroring the texture didn't remove Hayley's hair from the texture. I am hoping this is just a case of me not knowing how to use the software yet.

    Photos like that first pic will never, ever work. You absolutely must have good quality photos for any of these sort of apps.  The best result here is easily the best source photo, but still try for better pics. I know this may be tough if you are looking to do like celebs, but is very important to have a good source pic. If you take a pic yourself, you can control these things. Do NOT use a selfie cam. Use a proper camera, with a proper FOV. A big issue with many selfie pics is the FOV, it blows up the proportions. Mugshot style shots can work pretty well, but again, they need to be high resolution. Tie hair back, use soft, even lighting, and you can get decent results.

    You are right. I actually got some really decent results from both using older flip phone photos and great results from high quality photos taken with a pro nikon camera.I was able to find instructions no problem, which isn't always the case with some products. A few are more elusive than the Holy Grail.

  • Using Character Converter G3F to G8F

    I have created some custom characters in HeadShop which I really like and have saved them as a Preset and Actor. Can I use Character Converter G3F to G8F to transfer my Actor Figures. So far I keep getting a message that no character has been selected (paraphrased}.

    Basically is there some way of transfering my new actor without making a morph because the custom texture file is really important.

    You may have multiple installs of DAZ Studio. Please make sure that you install HeadShop to the working copy of DAZ Studio.

    We can also do a skype/screen share sessions that usually fixes these issues. You can invite me on skype at lasloves.

    i did what the TroubleShooting in manual sayed but still nothing

    Have you entered the serial number, from https://www.daz3d.com/downloader/customer/serialnumbers I think, in Help>About Installed Plug-ins and restarted DS?

    yes i have enter serial number on the HS13full.exe not on daz because in daz not showing me headshop Pluging in help>About Installed Pluging
