"An error occurred" or Carrara crashes out when loading or fitting content
I usually keep scenes and characters separated.
My workflow is usually like this:- Create file with character without gear - morph, textures/shaders and hair only
- Create file in which my character has their gear and pose
- Create file with the scene, props and so on
- Load up scene, import character(s) - tweak light & poses and positions - Render
- Save rendered image
I try to always keep a clean character, without anything on them. But seems this time I messed probably up with one of the morphs. The textures are just normal textures with some carrara native shader tweaks.
The morphs I use are the one that belong natively to M4 - the moprh++ and creature morphs you can buy here.
I probably going to re-do him.

In Japan (because she is japanese) girls are very shy to show forehead for some weird reason, that´s why use bangs.

Yep, very cute, thanks for the YT recomendation!
Do you have Rarestone's morph pack? https://www.daz3d.com/rarestone-s-face-morphs-collection-for-genesis-8-female
Many of Rarestone's characters look a bit like your idol, which makes me think this might help.
Yes I have!, just I need time to going deep on so many parameters.
Try Pure Ref. It's a program that will let you keep an image open on top of other windows, and you can also change the opacity of it. Take a picture of the girl you want to recreate and overlay it ontop of the genesis character and then try adjusting the morphs. You can match it a lot easier this way.

You can pay if you want, or do the custom amount and just type in 0 :)
Whoaaa! like Zbrush! I need that, THANKS!

Bluejaunte appreciationI think that's totally fair @bluejaunte. What we get when we buy your products is what we see on the product pages and you always provide very thorough and detailed promo images so we can make informed decisions about whether or not to buy. Skin textures are a HUGE selling point for me with 3D models so I do understand what people have said above... but there are a lot of artists who make models and use merchant resource skin textures as their basis, so I don't see why it's an issue that you reuse/refashion textures you've actually made by hand yourself. Of course, if a PA claimed in their product description that the textures included with a model were 100% new + unique and they weren't then that would be one thing, but you've never claimed that as far as I've seen.
Considering the fact that when we buy 3D models at the Daz store we get a morph (usually more than one morph these days!), multiple make-up options, loads of eye textures, and usually more than one skin variation all in a single product... I know people might feel differently, but to me that's generous for the price.
Thanks for your perspective. Yeah a lot of it just boils down to economic realities. 3D is just a very laborious thing. If you buy the latest OOT hair, chances are relatively high you'll get the same textures as last time. Some reused parts of products are probably just more accepted than others.
You do amazing work... no matter people's POV on this issue, I don't think a single person here would argue against that fact! You are incredibly talented and I for one am grateful you do what you do.
Also, I am fortunate to possess three painting by a very prominent European landscape painter. All of the paintings are seascapes with similar colours and paints used. That's why I'm in the forum still, as I understand most PA's avoid it and I respect that too. For me it's a pretty simple matter, I'm selling stuff to people and I need to hear what they think. At the risk of getting opinions of a minority, but it's the best I have since I will likely never hear from the vast majority of my target market. Otheriwse all I ever "hear" is when I find someone made a render with my girl in it.

That is a really healthy approach

I have a different perspective on the promo images. For me, the promo images are not sufficiently detailed. I can't tell that Noemi's eyebrows are identical to Nadya's. Every promo image of Noemi has the same hair hanging in her face, partially obscuring her brows. When a character advertises included fibermesh eyebrows, I would like to see a promo image that clearly shows them. I also couldn't tell that the eyelashes are crinkled. I don't know if that is intentional or an error, but it is not visible (to me) in the promos. You can call me picky and demanding; I'm not ashamed of that. I guess I have been spoiled by the 1750 by 1950 pixel facial closeups in Daz Original character product promos, where you can really see details.
I appreciate that bluejaunte explained the thought process that goes into creating the products. I have a better understanding now of what the focus is. I'm sure I will get good use out of the products. I was just so very surprised and disappointed at the materials duplication.
It is very nice that Daz has such a flexible return policy to handle cases where a customer can't really tell what they are getting from the product promos and description. I don't intend to return either Nadya or Noemi. (I don't return stuff unless it is fatally flawed; these are not).

Face Transfer plugin fails to load1) Close DAZ3d.
2) Install the 2015-2019 Microsoft Redistributable package. (Obviously must be x64 version).
https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads
3) Restart DAZ3d.
4) Check if plugin loaded in Windows > Tab > Face Transfer

Product Library Unlinked ItemsIf you literally disable it then you will have trouble using AutoFit, possibly Face Transfer (I'm not sure there), and potentially other features (now or in the future). If you don't use those views then the dead links are not going to be in the way, so I'd leave it be - and at least have a default isntalaltion, without moving files, of the base content.
Adding Dual Quaternion support to UnrealEngine4 (Images inside)here a video about how to add corrective morphs:

This works great! I have the major bones set up so far. No finger or toes yet. Makes a huge difference bending the foot bones backwards.
i sended a pm for you
i've started to follo this topich which looks really interesting since i'm using to unreal to make my game and planning to use daz and it's looks like being a little complicated and after reading the thread it's really looks interesting my only problem is if we can have any chance of it being a plugging instead of a mod to be compiled with the engine, could be much more fast if it could be like a plugging which could make things more fast.
Hey man,
I have see your video, it's great.
I wanted to ask if you have any video recorded on how to import the characters, with genitalia morphs, in UE4?well you cam import the "genitalia morphs in the same way you can import any other morph you want
first you have to have the "base character model and the "genitalia mesh", then selecting the genitalia mesh:
in the "shapings" panel look for the morph you want to export (you must have the "genitalia" mesh selected) then go to the wheel and click on it, it will bring the morph settings then selet and copy the "morph name"(the first name), then when click in export mark "morph" the look for the "morph rules" option then add the "morph name on that option then save it, now whenever you export a model it will "if possible" export that morph(if the model allow this morph), if you don't want anymore it to be exported then open again the morph rules and remove the morph name or just unmark/uncheck the morph option, the same can be applied to any morph or even "pose controls or corrective morphs";
Important notes:
1 - at last in genesis 8 most if not all mesh body morphs also will be applied to "outfits" or any other "extra" mesh in the model for exemple the voluptuous body morph you only need to export the "main body mesh" it also will be automatically created one for the "outfit" when exporting then you don't need to add the "outfit version in case the outfit have it(only in case the outfit version is better than the body mesh for the outfit.
2 - the same of the option 1 don't applied in reverse which i means a "outfit morph exported will be applied only to the outfit not to the character model (to be honest at last i never tried to test it to confirm)
3 - "many "morphs are "compatible with body male and female models, which means you only need to export "one version" for exemple a "body build morph, if you mark to export a female character or genesis 8 female base and add the body builder morph to be exported with her, later if you try to export a "male characters" you don't need to add the "male bodybuilder" version the female will work for male too in the same way the "male would work", this again is also true for pose controls and expressions, like if you export a female expression that "female also can be applied to a male if you try to export a male character without remove the "female expression" it will work on the male too, only really few "exclusive morphs can't be applied"
i hope it can help you.
Replicate a face from a frontal photo, at hand, no plugins that fails
Yes, its the same software. You can contact Facegen directly and speak with them, which I have. I actually bought Facegen Artist Home direct from Facegen years ago before they were in the Daz store. Then when they started selling on Daz, they made an upgraded version Facegen Artist Pro, which is the version they sell on Daz. So one day I upgraded when it was on sale. So I have both versions. Now when it comes to textures, I am sure you guys know that only means the default textures. Facegen allows you to use any texture you want for the creation, but if you use a custom texture then obviously you cannot share that texture without permission from the one who made it. But without question the head morph that Facegen creates can be shared. I've shared a Facegen head morph myself. My "Tom" is over at ShareCG.I have facegen but am unsure at the legality of sharing a morph made with it for other tthan my own use. The three pictures you post about look low contrast and too much hair on the forehead to give the best automated FaceGen results.
yep is illegal, but just share your result!!,
if you convince me (or facegen convince me) I could buy the software.

No, it is perfectly legal to share the morph made by Facegen! it is right there in Facegen's legal section:
https://facegen.com/artist_legal.htm
"Legal
Texture images, morph targets and FaceGen '.fg' files created with Artist are yours to distribute."
And of course this would have been cleared by Daz's legal team in order for Facegen to post it. So its cool! You also share the .fg file too, so people can use the .fg file to create their own version from their own copy of Facegen.
So its fine. There are people at ShareCG that share their Facegen created faces. One is Dumbuser. He has a bunch of really cool Facegen people up.
I'd love to see some kind of sharing thread for Facegen creations. It should be its own thread.
I believe Face Transfer allows it as well, but I cannot find the readme file or any info on it. Perhaps somebody could chime in on this for clarification.
Is that the same as https://www.daz3d.com/facegen-artist-pro ? It's weird I can find no connection between the two. Or any mention of the sharing on the Daz site.
Genesis to Genesis 2 or 3 converterYou would need to buy:
- https://www.daz3d.com/genx2-addon-for-genesis-2 (<--Add-on to include Genesis 2)
- https://www.daz3d.com/genx2-addon-for-genesis-3 (<-- Second add-on to include Genesis 3)
Once you have those, you'll be able to transfer from Genesis to Genesis 3. How the final figure would look depends on the figure really. Sometimes it's fairly accurate, but at others, it would look like an entirely different figure. BTW, these products will only transfer the morphs, not the skin.
Since it's been a good while since I used them, I'm also unsure if they would still work with the recent studio.

G8 individual head dialsSelect the figure, not the head. Does that have the additional controls?
When I select the figure, I do get the head morph control; so I can give the character a big mouth or slanted eyes. There's still no controls to open the mouth or close the eyes. I've looked at base G8 figure as well as some purhased characters but the results are the same. I tried reinstalling the head morph and expression programs, but that didn't change anything.

Bluejaunte appreciation
All very good points, xyer0.Duly noted, as well as Sahel, Miriam, and Misumi sharing the same source texture, BUT that neither sullies nor diminishes bluejaunte's accomplishment: Photorealistic women for dummies. Set Sahel or any of her sisters beside Babina 8 and her brood. The former looks real, and the latter looks interesting---but not necessarily real. And it is not merely the skins that are responsible for achieving this effect, as placing them on top other vendors' morphs will illustrate. If Genesis 9 looked as consistently real as bluejaunte's stable, then that would be an accomplishment.
How many characters from countless PAs are there with eyebrows that are ALL different but are obviously poor morphs of RedzStudio's excellent Supernatural Brows? Which, of course, is no argument, only a point for comparison. I view recycled skins and identical irises/sclerae (and sometimes eyebrows) as the idiosyncrasy of this artist. And I accept it because of the boon of unique beauty that attends it, just as I accept Luthbel's lack of morphs in his otherwise superlative clothing or Stonemason's unrigged doors on (many of) his preeminent environments.
I want to add to a point that you mentioned - that you don't get the same level of photorealism if you put bluejaunte's skin on other character morphs. We had a thread where people discussed displacement maps, and HD morphs. I think one example showed that some HD morphs include depressingly little details over the base morph. In one other thread about normal maps, one other user showed an example that some DO HD morphs more or less are dialable morph versions of the normal maps.
Bluejaunte's HD morphs are very detailed and from what I gather, not exactly copies of the normal maps. So here, the interaction between bump map details, normal map details, HD morphs (dazland's more or less equivalent of displacement details if the character has none) and SSS can play nicely which us essential for achieving realism. If you switch off one or other part, it might fall off.
[FE Decoration Background Vol 2] What is the name of this character?I usually assume such characters are either unreleased (but soon to be released) characters or characters that the artist doesn't want to share, only show off as theirs. Either way, only time and IRL obligations stop me from recreating a facsimile from the products at my disposal.
Even if the character is released afterwards, sometimes my own version feels better to me because I made it to where it looks appealing to my tastes. Though it doesn't hurt to pick it up afterwards and then tweak it to my liking. There's some characters that are a completely custom morph that's difficult to replicate with morph packs.
