Morph import/export problem
Hmm.. you get the error when importing via Morph Loader Pro - it doesnt even load the morph sucessfully?
When i make morphs in Blender, I have to check keep vertex order, or otherwise the morph will explode the mesh, but even if vertex order is not maintained, the morph still loads in fine via morph loader pro.
Morph import/export problemI export my figure as OBJ, Genesis 8 Female from DAZ, with base geometry and no subdivisions, no eyelashes. This export is correct, I can import it back with Morph Loader Pro and geometries match. But, anything I do in 3DsMax messes the same geometry. I import that same OBJ, with the following settings (see attached), I don't even touch it and export it back as OBJ (see attached) and geometries do not match. It's making me go crazy, can anybody see anything wrong in my export/import workflow? Thanks.
asymmetrical morph questionIf you have a morph that changes both you can save it as 2 different morph assets, then use the geometry editor to remove unwanted vertices from the morphs and save these.
Well worth learning how to do this (and weighted morphs eventually), I use it almost daily.
Mesh SmoothingYou could hide everything else, set the figure resolution to Base, export as OBJ, then turn off the modifier and use Morph Loader Pro to load as a new morph with the Reverse Deformations option checked (whic would cancel all effects of posing or morphing, leaving a morph that was just the changes from the Smoothing Modifier).
Morphs on command ?I don't know of any sites to do this. However I do know that Tritium over at DevArt creates custom headmorphs (also body morphs) in Zbrush for payment.

Auto Muscle Enhancer HD [Commercial]Thank you for the review. I was a little concerned about conflicts as I have experienced them many times in the past when using multiple HD characters. I was hoping that dialing down the resolution of the host body might help with this.If this comes with a base shape I will be happy to use it and then use my plethora of shaping morphs to get the perfect Endo-Meso I have been looking for. I grew up in and around gymnasiums and weight rooms and can attest that muscularity can be taken too far, for both form and function, and will be judicious with the use of this product.
Looking forward to putting this in my cart as soon as it arrives, I do appreciate the honest review. Knowing the possible limitations now, helps to prevent possible disappointments later.

You're very welcome. There are additional features to this he has aimed for animation, but I do not do animation. So, I'm probably not the best person to explain those features. To your point about multiple HD details, Auto Muscle Enhancer (AME) exist as multiple components that enhance the character's musculature. I've attached three screenshots, 06 and 07 show the same character/pose with AME Body dialed in at the same amount. However, 06 has AME Muscle Definition at 0% and the 07 has it at 100% where you can see the additional details its added, but you can also see in the inner thigh near the knee area there are "Muscle Definition" lines that are laying on top of other muscles from other character morphs and do not like up exactly.
08 is an actual screenshot of the morphs that you're getting with AME. As you can see, it's not an all in one morph dial, so you can adjust the components to your liking. Like I said, it's a bit like "Muscle MSG"

As a whole, it's another great product from D. Master and a whole hearted recommendation for buying it.

Most likely it's because it's an X-Transfer morph dealing with the Gen-X morphs, which are problematic.

Auto Muscle Enhancer HD [Commercial]I've been given a chance to play with it and cut some video for D. Master of using Auto Muscle Enhancer as a demo. He also asked me to give an honest review of it. I'm enjoying it so far. It does add a lot to the G8M gene pool, especially if you build "big guys". I will say that "a little dab will do you" when it comes to using Auto Muscle Enhancer. Loading it and cranking everything to 100% will get you something that looks like a flayed corpse. You are best to add it in to other characters. It's kinda like Muscle MSG, it enhances and improves, but it works better working with other "flavors" than by itself. The character I whipped up below is a combination of George 8, Brute 8, Swole Sampson and Auto Muscle Enhancer dialed in to 70%. There are additonal morphs for playing with the back and stomach. You can see the "Belly In" morph on display in the image of the character lifting up the beach ball ala Atlas.
The only knocks I really have against it so far is the Muscle Definition morph really only works well with the body shape of Auto Muscle Enhancer. You get a definition lines etched into the figure that do not necessarily line up with the muscles of other body shapes morphs. It would have been nice if it also did a better job of the whole lat/bicep/delt insertion area. Poses where the character has the arms lifted straight up, still look akward like they always do.
Otherwise, this product is great and I think it will definitely be useful to a lot of people that work with male figures.

The PostgreSQL issue is msot likely to eb down to permissins on the folder - especially if you copied the old application support folder(s) across from your previous system. The other issues are probably contnt diectory settings - do you use the defaults? Exactly where are the files that DS isn't finding (full path)? How did you install the content, or did you copy the content from the old machine?
I did a full transfer from the old iMac. I should note that before I did that I was having the animation issues before hand. I thought it was because the iMac was old (it was late 2013) but I'm still having issues with it.
More often than not when I install content I do it manually, that way it's easier for me to find it. But if Daz Studio has defaulted and is simply confused (for lack of a better term) and unable to find things, how do I switch things back proper?

It doesn't matter what I try to transfer...GenX, purchased characters, base characters, G3M, G3F, everything brings up the error message on both laptop and desktop, 4.11 and 4.12, both running W7

asymmetrical morph questionI want to change the size of the iris and pupils of the left and right eye independantly (Genesis 8). What's the way to go about this? Is Shape Splitter the product to buy? Is there a free way? Thanks!
Hylas' cornerI never touched Map Transfer, or really even knew about it, until I got XTransfer. A number of G3 base characters (and some freebies I'd accumulated) use custom UVs rather than the base. For example, here's what happens when you load the Guy 7 textures directly onto a G8:

This is because the Guy 7's materials were built on a custom UV that only works on G3M. Map Transfer lets you copy those textures onto the base G3M UV, which CAN be applied directly to a G8M, like so:

Once you've got your Map Transferred texture files, you can create material presets for G8.
I mean, you could also use something like G3 Character UVs for G8, but that only works for Daz base characters. It obviously wouldn't help with something like JoeQuick's Turtle Power for G3M.

The transfer process just does not have a lot to work with. It should still do a better job with normal eyes though. Please try again.
Thanks again, from the file you attached I think I can see exactly where my problem is happening. It‘s this little ring of polygons inside G3‘s iris which simply isn‘t there in G8. This is what sort of sticks out a little after the conversion process. Great to know! I shall try and figure something out.
From the converter, the only thing you can try is tolerance and the different methods.
Morph Loader Pro Help!The important thing with export size is that you import in Mesh Loader Pro with the SAME size setting you used to export.

Rather than pick on any of the myriad makeup/paint/tattoo products that fail, I want to highlight something that really gets it right: Aki Bodypaints (vol. 1 and vol. 2) by Aeon Soul.
Shortly after I started with DAZ, Grace for V4 showed up as a bi-weekly freebie. She made me first think about transferring old shapes and materials to Genesis 8. She was just so beautiful and I felt it was a shame to let all that go to waste. So I started to tentatively look into the subject. And down a rabbit hole I fell...
Well, here she finally is! I had managed to transfer her materials a while ago, but now I also have her face morph. It's not entirely accurate, but it's close enough for my purposes. Her eyes and teeth seem not deformed and the posing also seems ok.
How did you transfer the materials? I've tried using Legacy UVs and then Map Transfer, but I haven't found a way to include the geografts with the map transfer, so even with a G8 version of a V4 texture, I'm still dependent on the geografts.

with blender it's very simple, do what barbult says and then in daz and in obj export options choose "daz studio ", open blender (change clip end option for scale ? (d'ont remember)) import obj with "poly groups " checked in keep vertex order, make your modifications (without deleting anything, or scaling) once done, export obj with options "selection only, apply modifiers, includes edges, write normal, includes uv, poly groups, keep vertex order" return to daz where your character is, select it, open morph loader pro chosen "import from daz studio" chosen morph file, change poperty group, change reverse deformation to yes (not sure) and hit accept
