  • Auto Muscle Enhancer HD [Commercial]

    Ok.

    I do not really understand much about morphing and the language to describe this.
    I have no idea what JCMs are. I read this very often, but i do not understand what this means.
    AME = a product that you will sell at daz somewhen in the future?
    Sorry, when i reapeat myself, but i am not here everyday and i have so much in my mind that i forget fast.
    I also do not understand much about anatomy.
    I have very often the problem that i use muscles and later in the images i (or others) see that there is something wrong.
    So some muscle packages cause a too high and large neck and it is not possible to remove it when you don't own such special tools like from SY
    Sometimes the legs are not harmonic any more with the rest, the arms are too small and so on.
    I have some muscle-packages where the vendor makes great images with them, but when i am using them, the figur is deformed very unnatural and it never looks so good like it is shown in the promos. I also never can give them 100%. Hulk looks better than these morphs ;-)
    In most cases even the face is destroyed with some "musclemorphs". I don't want this, but i can't avoid it.
    The vendor can't help ...
    and so on...
    How did you create this chest-morph on your example-images?
    When i have this morph separated, i may combine it with other morhphs and then the results are better.
    I also wish a bit a little ballon-form-morph for the chest-muscles as it is shown in my images above.

  • HD navel morphs?

    Looking desperatley for a HD navel morph and cannot find one.

    There are a couple out there. Tessa HD sold here has one, for example, but it's just one, and you have to buy the whole character to get it.

    A geograft navel seems to be the easiest, do-it-yourself option.

     

    I doubt I could even make a geograft pimple, LOL. And for something so small, I don't really see the need for an entire graft, just a morph with a few folds would suffice.

  • Bake Geoshells onto Materials?

    When I try to load the G8F UVSet on to the Geometry Shell that I want to transfer maps from, it fails with this in the log "Facet count mismatch - cannot load UV Set".    The Geometry Shell is based on a G8F figure with a geograft applied, which I suspect is the cause of the issue.    How do I create a UVSet that includes UVs for the full geografted geometry?

  • Installing a 3rd party morph suite

    I need help. I have looked at and read multiple tutorials but nothing seems to work.

    I downloaded a morph suite called Morph Suite for Genesis 3 & 8 Females from Renderhub.

    I just can't figure out how to properly install it. No matter what I do, the morphs don't show up with my other morphs on the genesis 8 females.

    Most Recently I tried putting the files in Users- Public- Public Documents- My DAZ 3D Library-data- DAZ 3D- Genesis 8- Female- Morphs

    Attached is what it looks like in that folder. Batov3d is the folder for the morph set that I bought. It appears to match the file structure of the other folders in there in that if you click further it has another folder in there and then a bunch of DSON Support Files.

    But the morphs just don't show up in DAZ Studio. I've tried other methods that in hindsight made less sense and seemed geared towards props and figures and things.

  • [Released] Character Converter from Genesis 2 Male to Genesis 8 Male [Commercial]

    I've tried converting Orso again. Daz crashed when I closed the script window. I found morphs were being saved in two different places. One was in a file named "Local User", and another was "Genesis 2". 

    I was reading the thread for the "Genesis 2 Female to Genesis 8 Female Character Converter", and some people were saying that the characters were (sometimes) taking an hour (or so) to convert. It's something that I've not experienced. Most have been converted within ten minutes. Having said that, I'm try to convert Scott 6, and he took a total of 22 minutes and 22 seconds (plus, Daz crashed when I closed the window for the script - again). It's still making that "Male" morph dial too.

    I've attached the latest "crash-dump-file-thing" to see if you can get any new (or different) information from it (if you don't need it, just ignore it ^^').

  • Bake Geoshells onto Materials?

    Hi, I landed on this thread after trying in vain to accomplish this same thing.    I'm unable to get the Map Transfer Utility to work with Geometry shells unfortunately -- when I select the Geometry Shell in the utility, the Genesis 8 target UVs aren't listed.    

     

    Can anyone provide some step-by-step guidance on how to bake a geometry shell's materials down to native Genesis UVs?

  • Announcing: Daz Deals Browser Add-on

    That is crazy... one Newsletter was soooo long... I assume it had 100+ items in it.

    5136 items have changed prices so far today. (Of course, probably not all of them were included in the notifications, especially since some of these changes are when they lose a discount, and get more expensive, not cheaper.)

    Is it possible that the script can get somehow changed that I can say, that I dont want Genesis 1 + 2 Clothes products? The last mail was mainly just G2 stuff.

    Sometimes does G2 items fit on G8, but the old Clothes have also lesser morphs (I love morphs!) And when I really need a G2 item, then its because I searched for it :)

    Just, if it is possible...

    In general, no. But the notifications are personalized, so if you hide the items you are not interested in, then those will not be included. (That said, I actually love and still use G2 items. Especially since there are converters to transfer them directly to G8. I have to mention that not everyone is happy with the results of the converters, so your mileage may vary.)

    Lenio ho scelto G3F per 2 motivi, il primo è che molta gente la pensa come Imago, e preferisce G3F a G8F, la seconda è che non ho Merchant Resource per G8F, quando le avrò mi dedichero anche a lei.

    Il patreon ce l'ho da parecchio tempo, ma non ci ho mai dedicato molto tempo.

    Imago, lo so che non è permesso, quindi spero che non venga il mio stalker personale della DAZ e cancelli il post wink

    Comunque il morph c'è scritto che è senza texture, qundi chi lo comprerà (speriamo in tanti) ci mettono quello che vogliono.

    Lenio, tu sei l'unico che pensa che 3DLight sia morto e inutile... sad E che le figure con più di due mesi siano brutte. sadsadsad

    Nuovo non significa meglio, si applica ad un sacco di cose non solo all'informatica o all'arte digitale. IRay è ottimo per ottenere facilmente una illuminazione fisicamente corretta, ma è rotterrimo e ci vuole qualcosa come il 4000% in più del tempo di render rispetto a 3DLight.
    Ora, non guardare la galleria presente qui che è perlopiù di hobbisti... cercane una che sia di un vero professionista, non solo con DAZ Studio (3DLight è integrato anche in Maya, MudBox e tante altre applicazioni 3D) e poi dimmi se noti qualche differenza.

    Per farti qualche esempio veloce di utilizzo di 3DLight...

    IronMan e compagina bella è stato renderizzato proprio con 3DLight. cool Così come altri film con CGI di supereroi!
    Hai presente il film Oceania? Stessa cosa. coolcoolcool
    La serie di Netflix The Dragon Prince? Sempre 3DLight. cheeky
    Smaugh dalla trilogia The Hobbit? Prova ad indovinare! laugh

    Sì sì quelli son belli!

    Però a livello amatoriale, penso che Iray dia risultati decisamente, ma senza dubbio, migliori!

    Ho visto gente fare quadretti carini con settimane di esperienza!

  • Anyway to set specific items not to be sent through GoZ?

    Yea that's basically my fallback option, I can delete the hair, send the char through goz and undo the hair deletion.  I was just hoping for a cleaner way to do it.  The better way to do what you were saying would be to save it as a wearable which makes it easy to reattach.  It's just easy to forget to remove it and then you're stuck waiting, so a setting would have been the most ideal but that probably doesn't exist.  

    I haven't really worked much with the strand based hair but I've pretty much stuck with the old hair after a few tests.  I just haven't seen good results from the simulation and setting up the simulation in the first place in large complicated scenes seems more complicated than it's worth.  It usually faster and better looking for me to using an existing hair morph and then sculpt on it in zbrush to get exactly what I want.  

    For this specific issue though, all the fibermesh products i'm using are for short male hair, and thats really the only method that gets a realistic look and density that i've seen.  I believe strand base hair is primarily intended for long flowing hair, since theres no reason to dforce short hair.

  • GENESIS 9 - A Technological Upgrade

    In order for it to become more popular among people than the current version,  it has to be compatible  with the most important game engines out of the box like UE4 or Unity3d without any tradeoffs.

    The bodies always need to look realistic and be able to deform well during real-time animations while the characters have multilayered clothing on.

    And all important morph sliders for creating a broad range of realistic people should come for free otherwise people won't see the full potential. And last but not least daz characters need a more natural look (like contemporary or historical everyday people and not like some stylized "anime" dolls).

  • Natural Eyes for Genesis 8 [Commercial]

    I'm loving this so far, thank you! But I'm having a somewhat unusual issue. When I'm zoomed in close to the model, the eyes look fine. Zoomed out and they become monster eyes. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

    I am very much not speaking as an expert here, but does the figure you're using have any HD eye morphs  included or do you have another PAs HD eye morph applied on top of this products ones? To me this looks like an HD morph not behaving itself, but only showing up with the further away shot due to the change in lighting behaviour... maybe??

  • Why does every female two piece swimsuit on this site insist on having low rise waists?

    When i was looking for one piece swimsuits and leotards a while back i was also pretty annoyed at how the bottom part was cut.  A lot of what i saw was just a little too tame and then there were some that went too far, like someone gave the lady an atomic melvin.  I ended up taking matters into my own hands and making my own custom morph so that the backside on one of the leotards i was trying to work with had just the right amount of "flossing" between the cheeks and the sides were high up enough on the hips.

  • Natural Eyes for Genesis 8 [Commercial]

    That is so odd.   I really don't know what would cause that.  I can only guess at this point.  Possibly there is something wrong with the character morph, or umm, I have read that the eyes can do strange things when the figure is far from world's center. Maybe you have accidentaly shut off the sclera?

  • Possible to merge features from different characters? Nose from A, eyes from B ?

    Hi all, trying to slice and dice to make a different character within Daz Studio. Is it possible to take the nose shape from one character and merge it with the eye shape of another? The face/head sliders seem to change everything instead of the specific feature. Help would be greatly appreciated!

     

    You could try using Blender to create a custom morph that has all the features you want on one model.  IIRC one of the key things when making morphs is that the vertex count of the model cannot change.  So you cant do stuff like merge verts, delete verts or remove doubles cause those would change the vert counts.

    So take the main character in Daz that has the most features that you like and send it to blender.  Then the minor parts that you want to use gets sent over to blender too.  The character that has the nose you want? send it to blender.  The character that has the eye shape you want? send that to blender.  So for example you have your main character in blender, the nose character and the eye character for a total of 3 characters.  The main character is the one that will get reimported back to Daz once you're all done.  If all the characters are the same generation they will have the same vertex count, just different vertex locations.  So then its just a matter of overlaying the nose character on top of the main character.  Hiding or deleting the parts of the nose character you aren't going to copy.  Then you figure out the XYZ coordinates for each vert on the nose character.  Find the same vert on the main character and change its XYZ coordinates to the same.  Once you've repeated this for all the verts in the nose then your main character will eventually have the same nose as the nose character.  You delete the entire nose character since you are done copying it, keep the main character and repeat the process for the eye character.  Once you've copied all the XYZ coords of the eye verts onto the main models eye verts then you can delete the eye character too.  So you are now left with the main character which has a nose shape and eye shape that you want.  Find a tutorial that shows how to get that modified mesh into Daz as a morph slider and you are set.  I made a custom morph with a piece of clothing and i used one of Sickleyields tutorials.  But it should be possible with a figure too.

  • Can someone help me find low cut pants for G8F that unzip and open?

    I can't remember the specific products, but there were a few on Renderosity with that function. Maybe they were OOT's... As for style: I'd just replace the texture with something more appropriate for the timeperiod, I don't believe there's a lot of fantasy options with this type of morph. Switch denim out for a leather or cloth shader.
