I tried loading that, it doesn't appear to do anything.  (Which makes sense, it indicates it's a material, not a morph or geograph object). Some people have stated that you need "Genesis 9 Character Essentials".  Is that true?  Normally the gens come with the bundle.

Ok, got the bonus items together with the customer service reply. They were added manually to my account on the DAZ side. Instantly appeared in DIM. But they didn't do the same for Victoria bundle. Instead I got the suggestion that it could be a filtering problem (what was already discussed in this thread). SIgh... waiting for the next round.

To be honest, I feel for all the people that bought the pre-release bundle in good faith not knowing what was in it and are now stuck behind a gate as all of those that purchased the same bundle the day of release are getting to use her. I think daz has finally trumped their storefront disaster.

Anyway, now they have Toon Kids and Fantasy Ear morphs for G9 - But no essential (normal) body and head morphs yet.  There is "Werwulf for Genesis 9" that looks like it might have some muscle morphs in it, but it's probably one slider adjustment for the whole body.   Priorities!  Priorities!   (And no I'm not a pateint kind of person)

LOL no need to apologize, like I said I thought it was funny. Yeah I see they are coming out with more and more stuff, but strangely no morph packs. This train just keeps picking up speed. 

I am wondering who has done the priorization of items. What we have seen yetsrday and today does not make a lot of sense. I would have expected this:

1. Release of Genesis 9 and Victoria 9
2. Release of morph packs and pose converters the next day

Today's Age Control morph pack does also not make any sense, as it does require still unreleased body morphs to work with. A morph converting your figure to a 4-5 yera old girl, with adult-shaped breasts just does not make any kind of sense.

Also, the Genesis 9 Character Essentials do contain the male and female anatomy, but no material for those but the normal maps.

PowerPose does not work, as there is no template made available for Genesis 9.

Auto-fitting of hair just does not work at all. Especially trying to auto-fit dForce hair will have nice effects during simulation. @Toyen has posted a nice work-around (https://www.deviantart.com/toyen-art/journal/Tutorial-How-to-Fit-Poseable-Hair-to-Genesis-9-933611835), but that is not very universal.

In total, it seems that this release was rushed, or not carefully planned, or both. That release has failed in so many areas (apart from Victoria 9 herself - she really is damn cute).

 They appeared eventually for me without doing anything; yep the freebies are still unavailable.

Yep, still no bonus items. Plus the same problem as @sberlins described above with Victoria bundle items. Only shop shows that I own them, but no products in DIM or DC (searched and filtered in any possible way to find eventually hidden product). And via the product page on the website just endless "connecting" state without any products appearing for download. Got quite a quick reply from help that the problem should be solved, but no, not solved and no more replies either. Also considering to return the product and get money back. The fun is all over.

You should definitely open a ticket to get that sorted out. I did, and it was solved within a day. Given the way this release worked (or better: failed to work), I am not sure that Daz is fully aware of all the glitches. Especially, if all the products of the bundle are shown as "purchased" but there is nothing in your library, then this may be a totally different sort of beast they have to deal with.

Same here.  Some back and forth for an hour or so after I submitted the ticket on Wednesday and since then Daz support is a Sphinx.

I am still missing the pre-order bundle, too. So sad. And yes, I filtered my contents for "victoria". Only Vic 8 and 8.1 show up. DAZ website shows "purchased".

I "adopted" Genesis 1 right out of the gate. It was soooo much easier and more enjoyable to use than V4/M4. For G9 I will most likely do as I have done with every other generation after G1 (except for G8.1, which I haven't really used). I got V9, just like I got Victoria did for the other generations, and will get the body and head morphs when they come out. If there is something that comes out that I really like for G9, I'll probably get it, I'm sure if another character that I really like comes out in the next week or so, I'll get it as well (definitely a typical Thorne character, or a set of head/face morphs by Thorne). But for the most part I will no doubt continue to use what I already have for a long while and slowly build up the G9 library.

I'm not completely sold on G9 yet, the morph packs may help sell me a bit more. I'm also not sold on the figure topology, and some of the bends just don't look quite right to me. I'm in wait and see mode, with a bit of playing with the stuff I slowly pick up. I'm also holding off on G9 a bit because of another figure on the horizon else where that IMHO has much better topology. If it provides better features, bending, etc. than G9, I might go that direction. But regardless, I'm sure I will get more G9 stuff to make it useful, and if there are some features that I end up really loving (like the better expressions), G9 could end up my got to figure sooner than later.

 Recently I am missing more and more product icons in my Content view.  Current example is the new Victoria 9 product.  I have uninstalled and re-installed, and updated metadata to no avail.  I assume the product icon is located in the Support Folder in My DAZ Connect Library/data/cloud/1_87472/runtime/support

I have attached both a screen shot of my Smart Content view and the JPG from the support folder.  This product has been missing the icon since I originally downloaded the product the day it was released.  I install everything via Smart Content, I have DIM but only use that to install/update programs and I do have DAZ Central.

The product works correctly.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm more selective these days. I ignored all the Genesis 8.1 stuff. I'll eventually get the Victoria 9 character, and the head & body morphs as well as any expression and pose packs that I like. I'll stick to real-world clothing. I am waiting till more content is available before I pass judgement on this whole unified male/female mesh thing.

I got Victoria 9 and am very happy with how she renders. I had some trouble with 8.1 characters coming out looking a bit plastic, versus I had a much easier time with 8.0. I'm sure it is due to user error/not being great at lights. In any even, I'll be fully on board once Michael 9 makes his appearance. Before then, I may dabble here and there. I'm definitely interested!

Permanent freckles were a terrible choice. I have a few PA characters here from Daz where freckles are handled by a LIE applied to both diffuse and translucency maps. It how it should've been handled.

You can have nothing but freckles on Arianna 8.1 because it's n-th G8.1F character in a row so she can be more specialised. V9 is the flagship character in the new generation, though. Except she's coming with textures that are super-narrowly themed in use. Yes, she does look better than the older Victoria figures - but you can do only gingers with her skin. V8 and V8.1 blow her out of water in terms of flexibility even without extra shaping morphs.

So, after playing with the figure a little: as a figure on her own - great. As a universal flagship character for a new generation - bad.

Here's hoping Michael 9 will be more useful.

I already have a ton of Genesis 8/8.1 characters and items. So, while I bought Victoria 9 I'm really limiting my spending on Genesis 9 items.

I paid for Victoria. Thus far i regret it.

There are a few nice things when it comes to morphs and potential morphs. The 8K detail normal is nice, though quality figures and textures for 8.1 are nearly as good.

But G9/V9 is very slow to work with compared to 8.1 (even with lots of morphs loading). Also since they changed the number and combination of surfaces on G9/V9, stuff that used to take me a couple seconds now takes signifiantly longer.

It does seem this figure was designed to make things easier for PAs (which is perfectly fine) but it comes at the expense of ease of use for the artists.

I was blatantly curious about Genesis 9 and Victoria 9 since its been so long since we have had a new generation. I can't afford to purchase a whole lot for Genesis 9, but I have enough to dabble. I still have so many Genesis 8 and 8.1 characters I haven't rendered yet that I can do that in the meantime and be patient about Genesis 9 releases.

Adding G9 Base + Age 5 + Victoria 9 shape is horrible :p 

You're suppose to blend them in..Both at full strength will never look right.

I have these same issues with any expression that scrunches the forehead or moves the eyebrows.  It occurs with the Soft Curls Ponytail using the Victoria 9 Model.
