Morphing brush
Poke through can usuallly be dealt with using a weight-mapped Push Modifier or weight-maped dForm.
True but both these methods are not so intuitive and are more time consuming. Morph brushes could easily, quickly and intuitively be used to solve these problems and do a lot more besides.
Regarding the time required to implement Morph Brushes in to DS. It may indeed take some time to do well, but the advantages are significant. Morph Brushes would make DS easier and much more fun to work with and additionally open up significant opportunities for creativity; isn't that precisely what DAZ Studio is there for??
Using a HD figure? Some figures also have an HD morph slider that needs to be cranked up.
Looking for a Converter "Male Genesis 2, 3 and 8" Hair to M4 - so I can use it in CarraraHmmm... I wonder if this would work:
With Cuffed Tail 2 being a Prop, I wonder if we could run that through the Transfer Utility in Daz Studio to turn it into a conforming figure and export it as a CR2 (Poser file - I bought the Poser Format plugin for DS way back when)
It would basically be like I'm demonstrating for Genesis 2 in the video tutorial above.
Looking for a Converter "Male Genesis 2, 3 and 8" Hair to M4 - so I can use it in CarraraCuffed Tail 2 looks like the style I am actually looking for ! Thank you @Dartanbeck! Question. The product says that I need to have David Basic for it? Do you know if that is a mistake or do I really need that one?
I only want the hair for my M4. And that David Basic is for M3.It's just prop hair, so it just loads into the scene no matter who you have in there. It has morphs to fit (without further tweaking) :

Looking for a Converter "Male Genesis 2, 3 and 8" Hair to M4 - so I can use it in CarraraFirst of all using clones in DAZ Studio is not a cure all for working in Carrara. There are problems with Autofitting Genesis 3 and Genesis 8 (no Auto-fit in Carrara), as well as some Genesis 2 in Carrara. The result will be potentially a lot of pulling/pushing the affected mesh in Carrara's Model room. I have used it to resize Genesis 3 hair for M4. Also mucked around trying to convert Genesis clothing For M4 but there are usually problems in doing so. Most of the time I am actualling converting M4/V4 clothing to Genesis to mix and match various clothing, as well as hairs.
There is a tutorial for making clones, but if you are already going "Eeeeeekkk" at DAZ Studio, you might end up double cursing me for the suggestion, have used the Tute to make an Aiko 3 clone for Genesis 8F.
Clones that have already been done:-

Genesis - I think it already comes with clones for Generation 4 (M4, V4 etc), I also have clones for Generation 3 (M3, V3) but unsure if they came with Genesis or another package.
Any others that people are aware of please add them !
[Released] Bone Breaker Fantasy Armor for Genesis 8 Males [Commercial]@watchdog79 "Perhaps it is going to work better on core characters containing the Genesis 3 clones? As soon as I learn what that actually means"
I've been working with Studio for 15 years and I don't know what you mean, particularly about containg G3F clones. Nevertheless ths attached is LY Arden with Kadis.
This is a quote from the description of just about any core Genesis 8 figure I can think of:
Backward Compatibility (Read More)
The most backward compatibility ever, through included clones for Genesis, Genesis 2, & Genesis 3.
There are no "Core character who contain clones", the clones are part of the base figure. That promo line applies to G8, not to the specific character.
A clone is a special type of morph used by autofit to convert clothes from a source figure to the figure which has the clone. DS uses it to compute how to adjust the mesh of the clothes so they fit the target figure.
ISO: M4 African-American TextureVery technically, if you want what is more or less the same texture, it's available on Derek for Freak 5: https://www.daz3d.com/derek-for-freak-5
The color tone of the texture has been shifted, but it's pretty clearly the same one when you look at the base textures. However, it uses the Freak 5 UV, which is somewhat different from the base Genesis/Michael 4 UV, so you might need to do a map transfer to use it with, for example, the Legacy UV products for G3/G8 -- those don't know what F5 UV is.
Ive already found another texture i have to use (Tyson for M4). Not quite the same appeal as the Trey one, but i have it on hand.
Thanks for the suggestion tho.
-MJAnatomical Elements MATsYou would need a torso to gen UV. It comes with skinbuilder for example and there are some free as well, GenTorso UV for G8F for example
After you done the steps you have already done in you description you just change the UV on the gens to one of the above UV.
Thanks! I see they have them for females, but do they make the torso to gen UV apps for G3M or G8Ms?
Skinbuilder doesn't do male UVs at the moment, so there's nothing available in that product. You'll need something else.
You'll need to do a search for "G3M Genital Texture Helper", available as a freebie from Renderotica's forum (which is not allowed to be linked from here). You use the helper to do a map transfer from the Torso UV to the Anatomical Elements UV, then use your editor -- Photoshop or Gimp or whatever -- to edit them together. How much editing you decide to do depends on how much of the elements you need to be visible. (G3M and G8M Base Male are the same UV, so it should work for both. It may not work for any of the other named males, like Michael or Dante or Elijah or whoever, because they have slightly different UVs from base male. That said, there were very few characters in G3 apart from the main bundle characters that used the other UVs.)
Thank you, that is *very* helpful. On a side, the product content created is SO female-oriented...far more female products accross the board. So much for equality in the art world!
Copy settings from 1 prop to another?I did now clear the scene and... well, my Morph is unuseable now :( I have no idea how to delete the morph and I still get the duplicate error, even if I just use 1 instance.
Edit: Did in Edit mode found a "delete property" so... now the morph is gone and also the duplicate error.
So... back to the problem with duplicating the props from the first Noose to the other.
Edit, loaded an older version, no my first saved version, deleted there the lever morph and the gemoetry duplicaiton is gone:

That does no longer excist, so it seems like I got a kinda 0.9 Final version, for 1.0 it would need a 1click lever which open all traps :)
Update: I wanted to use this tutorial:
But... it doesnt help me, because:

The lever does show for some reason the "nooses", but not the trapdoors, even if the nooses are seperate props and the trapdoors are part of the rigged figure.
And when I use the Key frame, then I am afraid it will make again a bug :(
Facial rigging in DAZI am trying to add facial expressions to a head of an original character that has a face rig for G8 but no eye blinks or mouth viseme morphs, actually no morphs at all. I can use the dials to translate the jaw up and down or translate eyelid up and down that kind of thing. But I have no idea how to create morph targets that could be used with mimic live, or us a facial animation from aniblock. Does anyone have any info on where I could find a totorial on how to go about this. Is there any autorig product, or tools in DAZ that expidite the process?

Morph Loader Pro issuesI see. And about the measurements. I am using measure metrics to measure them up. Let's say I after I load the character, when I apply the morph measure metrics do not report the same values as of the original figure at the time of export (the measurements were checked in base resolution to keep it consistent, since changing resoltuon already has some effect on it, really minimal/minute)
ISO: M4 African-American TextureI checked my orders, it was on sale for $1.99 on April 21, 2013. It's still in our Product Library too if one had purchased it.
Yeah, i guess i changed my mind on it for some dumb reason.

Can I import my own models into Daz3d?My model wasn't rigged in any other program.
I just imported it in Daz3D, and it shows very tiny in the view; and I don't see a scale tool. Is there a scale tool?
So I can rig my imported model; does it also inculde facial rigging?
You need to import the character at its original scale when using morph loader. If it was made in poser, use poser scale, if it was made in lightwave, you need to apply to original scale when doing import.
You would use the convert to triax geometry, then use the joint editor / weight maps to get the right rigging.

Controlling Morphs on G8M as well as a fitted mask with one morph slider?I have created an ear moprh for G8M and a morph on the fitted mask to work with the ear morp on G8M.
Is there any way to have a single morph slider on the mask controlling the morph on the mask as well as the morph on G8M?
Is it possible to save something like a shape present that applies to both morph?
Thanks in advance
Can't see 200 face morph slidersHave you tried closing Daz Studio and restarting it? If you install new morphs while Daz Studio is open and your character is already loaded, you won't see the morphs immediately, because Daz Studio decides what morph sliders are available for the character when the character is loaded.
Is it possible to transform M4 Base into a G8 character?Yes it allows to save (simply) as a morph, and it corrects the bone, eye and finger problems I encountered ;)
there are a lot of interesting characters through the generations and it's a good way to keep them and improve them ;)
I'm sorry if I explained it badly, but I'm using a translator.
You REALLY made my day! I have been trying so hard not to give up on M4 and now you made it possible!
I am going to wait for a sale on those convertors and buy them all! Thanks so much!!
ps. What's your native language? Sorry for making you go through all the language convertors talking about a body convertor hahahaIs it possible to transform M4 Base into a G8 character?Yes it allows to save (simply) as a morph, and it corrects the bone, eye and finger problems I encountered ;)

OBJ File bodysuit convert to Genesis 3 or 8 ClothingTransfer Utility is enough to assign any OBJ to a figure.
Adjust the pose until the outfit pose matches to the Genesis 8 default pose, export this outfit and import the new OBJ, convert it to G8 again.
You may need to adjust some surfaces by changing the bones with the Geometry tool (For example the transition hip / legs ).
You can use Smooth Modifier (Collision iterations) and dForce to fit the surface to the figure.
I don't know if it's a good method but I was able to do what I wanted.
For example: Genesis 8 Males wearing Mass Effect 3 uniform
