As it is, Vicky feels like a super-expensive, underwhelming character. Niche skins, outfit, no extra eye textures, makeup costs extra. All in all, most PA character makers give better value for less than a Daz core figure - and that includes Victoria 9. Shame.
And what's up with not having the head and body morphs and expressions not dropping the same day as the figure? A really dumb move IMVHO. I would have really loved to have something to create a new character of my own with (especially on the male side since I know we ain't gonna have a Michael 9 for gawd knows how long). There will be 20 female characters before that happens.

I ordered today, or rather it was yesterday now, and got the Makeup for Victoria 9 HD Intro Bundle included, although it wasn't available until afternoon via DIM.

As far as the freckles being niche, you're not very observant in the real world if you're living in USA, Canada, or Europe as they are extremely common. The other is not common, at least so visible in most people but many have a splotch or two. Both are a challenge to do realistically and they did quite well. At any rate, the G9 Essentials includes non-freckled options until a character of your liking comes out. 

I bought the Victoria 9 HD Intro Bundle / Character Essentials too. The FACS and character look great & there are so many adjustments. Did you notice that the body has muscle flex adjustments for when you pose (not body builder type just sort of typical)? At least, that's what I think those are but there is so much to try out.

I was on the fence too about the beach bundle, on the one hand the clothing looks less like paper doll clothing from the effects of dForce, and on the other I own similar types of clothing already. What's likely to cinch it though is I want that wave, it's much better wave than what waves I have already for a surfing wave.

The wave you can see looks good. That is G9 with the male far east skin from the G9 Essentials. The hair is a morph of the Pixie hair. The expressions and posing is great but it's been changed so I will need to fiddle and get use to it the new way, example: check out the metatarsal and foot posing now as they are much better but so diffient I have to find reference photos of posed feet to be sure.

The autofit for is hardly working at all so I just put him in the G9 Essentials shorts although autofit is not quite working correct there too, instead of the End of Summer clothing. Propably the most useful thing in that bundle for me are the different casual shoes of which I had hardly any of.

He's about to be flipped off his board by the way. 

The autofollow on G9 is very good at stacking. Probably due to the way the shapes were made. So even more extreme combinations work decent out of the box.

I posted this elsewhere but:

• Starter essentials (free, includes genesis 9 base model, male and female base shapes and various other morphs, and base skins but no genitals or genital mats/textures)
• Character essentials (paid, collection of brows, eyes, includes anatomical elements (aka genitals, but doesn't currently come with genital mats/textures))
• Victoria bundle (paid, Victoria character shape and textures, some clothes and poses, no genitals)

You need starter essentials for Victoria to work but not character essentials EXCEPT if you wish for your Victoria to have genitals in which case you need character essentials that comes with the anatomical elements.

Supposedly the base skins should have matching genital mats but at least yesterday they were missing from both starter essentials and character essentials. My guess they should be part of the character essentials.

I urgently like to see an edge looped breast geocraft for G 9 with an edge loop geometry as we know it from Victoria 4, Genesis, Genesis 2, Genesis 3, Genesis 8 and Genesis 8.1 with optional HD morphs.
I'd also like to have an edge looped modelled navel with HD option for Genesis 9.

People are still missing stuff and Daz staff haven't posted publicly about it to my knowledge, so submitting a support ticket would probably be the best way to get a clear answer. But usually when bundles include the anatomical elements, they are listed somewhere on the store page for the item.

You know, the thing you guys recently created to filter stuff and make Daz safer for work? Yeah, that would make sense. Like that kinky leather outfit in Victoria's bundle, oh you know the one, that could be the headline outfit for the bundle that includes your Daz gen prop.

Thus, people buying that bundle would probably be the type of people who might actually be looking for that gen prop, and hey look, there it is. Imagine that. Is this really that hard to do? Is it really this hard to come up with? I can spit these out all day long if you need help.

I actually think the line I bolded is an intentional choice. I don't know if it has to do with strict Utah laws on distributing adult material or something, but Daz usually goes out of their way not to advertise that the gen grafts exist, they never sell them directly, and officially their purpose is anatomical completeness only. This is the closest I've seen them come to making them available for direct purchase, so it makes sense if that's the case that they're an outlier in an unrelated bundle--you're primarily buying stuff that is definitely unrelated to genitals, and oh by the way it also includes the genitals. 

I think it's super weird especially since they've got whole categories of items that are straightforwardly About Sex, but one of the third-party sites has a hilariously stern prohibition on sexual items like bondage clothing, etc. when 80% of the most popular clothing vendors there are making obvious fetish gear. Insert here my off-topic, three-hour TED talk on how crackdowns on this stuff almost always lead to situations where the same sexual content just ends up unmarked in general content categories because sites still want to sell it but have to disingenuously pretend there's nothing sexual about it. That's one of the reasons I was glad to see the mature filter here. 

 Will G9 Voss hair+swimwear be added to the accounts? Unless these two were freebies only with a standalone Victoria 9 preorder and not with the entire bundle?

 Anyway, more important question: can a single item from the bundle be returned for a refund without having to return the entire bundle? Diva's Desire set is terrible. It's not usable in any way or fashion with this kind of geometry. I have fibermesh-based hair models that come with less polygons than a single piece from this set. The only good thing possible to say about this topology is that it seems to be only quad-based.

I mean, this is topology for a single earring and from there it only goes funnier with other parts of this set...

I agree with most of that ↑ but I'll add my own point of view re: the skins. Perhaps it's just because I find interesting skin far more appealing to look at than bland, smooth textures, but I really like the two that were included. In Daz's defense here, their originals line has become more invested in diversity and unconventionality, and since Vic's sort of the Daz mascot, to me it makes sense for them to include these sorts of skins. I also think that it's pretty cool having a vitiligo skin purely from the perspective that it'll be encouraging people to start broadening and diversifying their own renders. 

I fully expect PAs to make fashion-ready skins and textures in the coming weeks, and the 8 base materials have less outstanding features on them already. So if people have no interest in using Vic's skins, then they'd be best holding onto their money for those.

Allllll of that said, yeah it's a bit weird to have only one eye lot, and shame having the makeup seperate (which also takes ages to apply thanks to the new script format). I also do *not* like the outfits much at all, especially the dominatrix-ish gear with its heels that'd cripple me in seconds (if I even had a desire to wear something like that). It's also weirdly taxing on my system, so it must have very chonky texture maps or something. It's like they've taken two steps forward in character design, and then two steps back in clothing choices. (Also, zips on bathing suits is a bizarre idea. They'd sear your flesh on our beaches)

For a Victoria? I think we all had the correct idea that they should have been included IMHO.

I can post a few renders shortly. One of the cool things about these is that they're hair cards, I think, and they're interchangeable. So if I load Victoria 9 and click one of the options, her brows automatically change to the one I selected (and so on for any of the ones I switch to).

My post disappeared but what worked for me was

Load Victoria 9

Add Masculine chest texture

Go to shaping, add masculine shape for body, head, and chest nipples

Zero all of the shapes that begin with feminine (body, head, chest nipples)

Texture fits!  I guess I could have summed that up by searching everything on the shaping tab called "masculine" and set to 100% and everything called "feminine" set to 0%

I'm fairly sure that the morph bundles, etc. will follow over the next weeks, months, etc. as they usually do.

I for one am not disappointed with the Bundle although a little surprized that the a.e. have to be yet another purchase - but the price isn't bad at all. And for those down the road in time I'm sure they will appreciate that they don't have to shell out for a full Pro bundle just to get a set.

That might be one way to look at it, but I have to disagree. Genesis 8 at least offered some compatible features with G3, you could drop most G3 skins right on 8. Poses would work, and only needed a small adjustment. With 9, however, few things work on G9. You can't drop your old skins on it. Poses do not work at all. So people are truly starting all over again, and we have to remember that we have not had to start over again since 2017.

I had to look, and Genesis 8 launched on October 12, 2017. So it has been exactly 5 years since Genesis 8 launched. And frankly, people got used to Genesis 8 being "the" Daz model. People who had stuck to Victoria 4 for ages finally moved on to Genesis 8. That is what Genesis 8 accomplished. Also keep in mind that Daz was doing some wild bundling in the Genesis 8 early days. Remember how buying a bundle they gifted like 2 or even 3 Pro bundles with it? This really pushed people to take the leap that might not otherwise. I was one of them.

I also don't feel the bundle is really offering anything. One single hair, one single pose pack, 3 very not everyday clothing items (unless you wear a bikini or fetish wear everyday day), expressions, and a make up pack. It is a pretty sparse bundle. When you look at past bundles I see more in the older bundles. Victoria 8 has 2 hairs, 2 pose packs, FIVE outfits covering more variety, expressions, and 2 extra characters. V8 also had makeup included with her base, not sold separately. Granted, I suppose the makeup product with V9 has more stuff, but still, it is sold separately and considered one of of the products included with the bundle.

That just doesn't drive value to me.

So now Genesis 9 is starting over in many ways, and I would bet some good money that a lot of people are going to wait. 

I like that Genesis 9 has 4 male and 4 female skins, that is pretty cool. So there's that. But I am talking about the Victoria 9 bundle itself. So after playing with these I am just sitting here thinking why would I even need Victoria 9 anyway? It is just not compelling to me. Victoria 9 is not ugly, but I am just not into her all that much. Maybe someday I'll get the character by itself.

In my case, I saw a product in the store with Essentials in the name and wanted to see what was "essential" to using G9.  Imagine my surprise.

I bought the Victoria 9 HD Intro Bundle and the Genesis 9 Character Essentials and besides what others have said was missing or broken in the packages is also the Smart Content icon for the Victoria 9 HD Intro Bundle is missing and the label is wrong as it's called Victoria 9 HD Presale.

They are not free, You have to purchase the Character Essentials. They are in the store but not on the sale page for some bizarre reason.

OK, thank you.  Has probably been repeated a number of times but reading the threads I had gotten the impression that other people had downloaded and installed the naughty bits as part of the bundle.  My genesis basic male and Victoria 9 can remain neutered for the time being.
