Vampire Morphs - Before G8 ends...!
Now, you would lose detail in the transfer. That's sort of unavoidable, based on my own experience; Geordig also posted a conversion of an extreme fantasy morph over in this thread that shows how much you might lose. But it could be worth a shot and if it doesn't work out you could always return XTransfer if you've no further need for it, assuming that you don't own it already.
You're just linking to this thread; here is the thread you're describing.
Vampire Morphs - Before G8 ends...!Have you tried transferring the G3M version of that product up to G8M using XTransfer? Or the G3F version to G8F, for that matter. There's nothing on the product page to indicate that the morphs are HD (XTransfer can't handle HD morphs because DAZ won't allow it), and the product can handle some pretty extreme looks.

EDIT: Changed the thread link.
How do I get the cloth to drape around the leg and foot.Ive just look back at the files and there are some shin bends, and thigh bends but they're are not showing up but the other adjustments which are in the same morph folder are showing up.
3D OBJ Shoe file - Add onto Genesis 8 femaleRight, they really need to be correctly placed to fit the base figure in its zero pose. The first thing you need to do is split the shoes into separate OBJ files, somethign you can do in DS itself fairly easily:
- Make sure the shoes are selected, and for simplicity have nothing else loaded
- Tools>Geometry Editor
- Right-click in the Viewport>Slection Mode>Marquee Selection
- Drag a rectangle around one shoe (probably easiest of you switch the view to Front or Top)
- Right-click>Geoemtry Editing>Delete Selected Polygon(s)
- File>Export, select OBJ as the format if it isn't, give it a new name (e.g. Converse Right Model), in the options dialogue use the Daz Studio preset
The reload the original, two-shoe OBJ and do the same to get the other foot.
Import both shoes and load the base figure, then
- use the transform tools to get one of the shoes lined up with the correct foot.
- Edit>Copy>Copy Selected item(s)
- select the other shoe
- Edit>Paste>Paste To Selected item(s)
- Now in the Parameters pane invert the X Translation and the Y and Z Rotations (make them negative if they are positive or vice versa) - the second shoe should now line up with the other foot
- Hide the base figure, and any other objects in the scene, leaving just the shoes
- File>Export, OBJ Format, Converse Fitted, use the Daz Studio preset
Now if you reimport that OBJ you should have a version with both shoes aligned with the base figure, and the Transfer utility should give the desired result.
DELETEKalaa has blue contact lens in or toon blue irises and the moccassins are rather perfect looks. Some of the ad art is sort of spartan like you'd do in clothing catalogues and such.
The way DAZ 3D Store listing work for me and it's been so in every case: "realistic items" look so much "more" realistic on release day then they do looking back at them a year or more later.
Goanna's charcters are often on the stylized side. Kalaa is like a caucasian version of Shizuka. Anyway, the morph seems nice, but the eyes and skin will need a bit of fiddling/swapping out.
Her skin looks too oily in the promo pictures to me. However that should be fixable in the surface settings.
I very much like the character but I don't collect the more realistic characters as way more are published than I'll ever use. Too much skin oiliness when more skin details are absent though does make a render look more cartoonish. (don't ask me what language was the prior contruction of my earliersentence before corrected
)Vampire Morphs - Before G8 ends...!Before the G8 run ends, especially with Hallowe'en on the way, please tell me one of you PAs are going to finally give us a 'Buffy The Vampire Slayer'-style vampire forehead morph (along with the unique fangs)? At least for G8F, if not also G8M? Pretty please?

It's one of the few things G8 still has missing from its gene pool!
The last time we had one, it was this piece of brilliance for the G7 line: https://www.daz3d.com/fwsa-vampire-expansion-and-jewelry-for-genesis-3-female-s
And I cannot express just how often I've used those used forehead and teeth morphs for BTVS-themed art! It has become one of my most frequently used products and it's strange we've not had anything similar since then.
So, here I stand, hoping beyond hope that maybe Hallowe'en for 2020 might finally deliver on something similar for G8's vampiric art, in case we're unknowingly in the twilight of its support before moving onto the next generation of figure. We've had some great undead costumes and props for it, along with even a fantastic 'Underworld'-style werewolf (although, sadly, still no G8 replica for Selene's famously styled hair). But still no authentic BTVS forehead and related teeth morphs! With the arrival of Face Transfer, it'd be great to depict various fandom characters 'vamped out' in the style which that show possessed. Just need those morphs.
How do I freeze a smoothed bit of clothing as a morph?I'm afraid that cannot work either. To avoid exporting the character in the obj file, I have to hide the character, which means the smoothing modifier shape reverts back to zero. So, the exported obj file mesh would be identical to the original AS Elvenstrapped mesh.
My problem is that if GV3 is visible when the obj file is created, GV3 exports too. If she is invisible, the smoothing modifier final shape disappears. In neither case can I create the morph I'm aiming for.

Richard.
Louisiana QuestionsDid anything get resolved with this issue?
Nope.
Did they respond at all? Say they are looking into it? When I’ve reported bugs, it has often taken as long as 6 months for them to fix them.
It's not necessarily a bug. You get two different head morphs, one of which has features from Darcy, like the ears that you don't get with the non-Darcy version. The bonus is that you get the influence of Darcy's features, whether you own Darcy or not.
Then is is a bug or labeled incorrectly. If it doesn't require Darcy for either head morph then it shouldn't be labeled as such. How about head morph 1 and head morph 2? The product page says it requires darcy 8 but if no part of Darcy 8 is dialed in, then that is wrong
If it bothers you, then put in a support ticket. Mind you, they have enough real problems to deal with.

How do I freeze a smoothed bit of clothing as a morph? If you are making a morph out of the smoothing iterations, you need to have the clothing at 100% scale when exporting the OBJ, otherwise the morph will shrink the clothing just like you say it does. Scale Vicky up instead.
Thanks for identifying your characters, Rarestone!Oh, my goodness!!! This has been a pet peeve of mine forever!! More products would be sold if there was more transparency of products used.
Of course, to do that, they would need to only use products from Daz3d...well, that is ok.
Please, PA's don't use products that we cannot purchase in your promos!!!
Let me change my statement! I do like transparency and it IS a pet peeve.
However, if a promo has something from another site, I wish the artist could let us know what it is. I do not know if Daz would allow that.
If the promo artist used something...such as a morph, that is their own, just say that!!
This is MY personal wish wanting to know what products are used.
Problem with Transfer UtilityPlease put the Viewport in Smooth Shaded mode if you need to show a (partially) nude figure.
Yes, you should model around the base pose if at all possible. Using the Bake Joint Rotations command (from the Joint Editor tool's option menu) does provide a way to work on a posed figure, but you have to zero out the JCMs and then when the item is rigged you have to adjust its pose to match the zero pose and bake its rotations. Similarly, it's best to work with the base shape though in this case (as long as there is no scaling or translation in the shape) you can select Use Current for the Source Shape in the Transfer Utility and check the Reverse Source Shape from Target option.
Problem with Transfer UtilityHi. Need clothing for use in Unity3D (i.e. with bones). I made a t-shirt in Marvelous. Then in .obj and in DAZ. Get dressed - dressed, but after the transfer "breaks". Moreover, if you do it in T-pose, the transfer is obtained without problems. What am I doing wrong?
How do I freeze a smoothed bit of clothing as a morph?I have a bit of V3 clothing that's not designed for the body morph I'm using, so 'Autofit' doesn't work - V3 is too early to benefit from Autofit. So, to get the clothing to fit I have reduced the clothing scale to 90% so it's entirely within the figure, and applied a smoothing modifier to the clothing. This moves the clothing (in 34 steps or so) so that it's outside the figure. This takes a fair time. That's fine if it happens once, but it happens every time I pose any body part, which is frustrating. I don't wish to pose apparently naked figures, so turning the auto-update off isn't an option.
Is there any way of freezing the smothing modifier altered shape into a morph?
I have tried making the character invisible, saving the clothing as an obj file & then loading it in using Morph Loader. This almost worked. Except... when I hid the character from view, the clothing shrank back to the 90% size, and all the resulting morph did was to shrink the clothing by 10%. Not quite what was planned.
I'm sure there is a simple solution, but it isn't covered by any documentation I have downloaded onto the machine. How I wish there was an adequate help file, it would save me hours.
Regards,
Richard.
The actual case I'm trying is AS Elvenstrapped bikini on Glamorous Vickie as shown in the attached image - with the 34 odd smoothing iterations.
[Released] ManFriday's Mesh Grabber [Commercial]Daz was a little early releasing version 3 of the base Mesh Grabber in the store, but there's a couple new free features for everybody even if the morph editor add-on is not in the store yet. From the changelog:
- Add “Normal” and “Clamped” gizmo orientation modes.
- Add an “Advanced settings” dialog for keyboard modifiers.
- Draw a longer rotation axis on the screen while rotation is in progress.
- Fix a lot of oddities with the gizmo when more than one viewport is active.
- Fix gizmo sizing problems when zooming in and out and with large selections.
- Fix “Modifier statistics” not refreshing correctly in some situations.
- Add undo for the “Reset Mesh Grabber” action, finally. Save current selections with both the “Reset Mesh Grabber” and the drag / rotate undo items.
- Update documentation.
Hopep you like!
Transfer Generation 4 clothes morphs to DAZ OBJsAh ok! so the deltas are captured already in a file and the deltas are not calculated by finding the diff between two existing OBJs.
Well they are calculated from the differences between the base and morphed mesh when the morph is created initially.
But the product will not contain the two meshes, only the base one and the saved deltas.
Wind, dforce, aniMate Lite and getting different frames merged into one dedicated? For a better understanding why it's not so easy for me. I try to rebuild Boticelli's "Birth of Venus" so (the famous picture with Venus standing in a seashell) and Aura's hair (the woman on the left) deformation time-collides with Hora's blanket (the woman on the right) being deformed by wind.
So when I export Aura - she got an aditional anatomy shell on her, which isn't visible in the scene and can be deleted, but wings attached and hair which are part of the figure. The hair is deformed so I think this is the base item, I export the hair, base resolution, there is only edge interpolation with no possibilitty to set to off. I load a fresh figure, put the same hair on it, activate the undeformed hair, load edit->figure->morph loader pro, set rev.def. to on and.. and "geometry failed". I don't understand.. I choose simple hair, no extra on it. I load simple hair, no extra on it, exactly the same. Then I load the morph and it says different geometry.
In the other topic I noticed the problem may be a too complex cloth, so this time I chose an undercomplex item.
In this scene I got 3x dforced cloth, 1x dforced hair and two times I just was fed up with these animation flaws I edited the bones / joints to align the hair with the wind. I did 3 base scenes (left, middle, right figure(s)) and merged them into one. It works with neither item in neither scene. And even with a base figure it doesn't work out. I don't understand it, tried 3hrs just today (long load times despite it's all on ultrafast M.2 SSD).
Thanks for your time and effort to help me. I give up. Solution for me is to use the delivered scripts for deforming Aura's hair and not to use dforce in somewhat complex scenarios.

AIUTO...CHI CONOSCE L’ITALIANO?
- sono reduce dal SeptRender che ha richiesto settimane di lavoro, e sto facendo un'altra collaborazione impegnativa per Halloween con molti creator nella mia nicchia;
- non penso che l'evento possa raggiungere molte persone che siano poi interessate ad acquistare i miei servizi;
Allora fai così:
Carica entrambi i G8, maschio e femmina.
