Vai a capire.

I just saw these in the gallery,...competition for G9 you think?

Competition in what way exactly? It's just a face swap via AI that you can do with a free mobile app in 2 seconds. You could actually probably get better result swapping faces using photoshop and some manual attention to detail, on the artists page all of them are terrible resolution if you look at each of them closely.
I'm never gonna understand why people get so mesmerized by this, it's just lazy work and requires no artistic skill.
Here we go: Great for portraits, like Meta Humans and Victoria 4, but not that great for posing and animations as someone here before just nailed it.

Can anybody tell me if Genesis 9 has any improved features as far as animation?WendyLuvsCatz said:

MAX Biped is the most commonly used bone hierarchy AFAIK
this doesn't seem any closer to any I have seen such as Unreal or Makehuman options and BVH import still broken
I can retarget and animate it easily enough elsewhere

"Improved Posing & Animation
With enhanced bone hierarchy and industry-standard naming."
I'm not understanding what this means in Gen9. I get industry-standard naming, but "enhanced bone hierarchy"...?
What does that mean? What changed in the bone structure between 8 & 9?
no idea why you quoted me when I am as baffled as you
LOL! That gave me a good laugh! thanks lol!

Aiko 9 and Hiro 9?I really hope that daz will announce aiko 9 and hiro 9 in 2023 (idk)
There are my favorite daz anime figures, they deserved to be genesis 9 along with victoria and michael
Head gamesPlaying around with Victoria 9 and the Face Morphs Kit for Genesis 9. Started with Victoria 9, dialed her head back to about 75%. Stated adjusting morph dials from the Face Morphs Kit to get the look I wanted. I don't know why it's so satisfying watching a new person emerge as I move dial around, but it is. Very much so!
I'll be honest I was missing the mark of what I was seeing in my head. So I then I added VYK Sydney for Genesis 9 at 15%. That little bit gave me what I was looking for. I just couldn't quite get what I wanted with the morphs dials only. Sometimes, you just have to mix other character heads in and see how they react. In this case, it gave me what I wanted. I rely on morph dials because my morphing skills in other programs are almost nonexistant. I can do small things, but not whole heads or their various parts. I'm looking forward to more morphs showing up in the store.
The skin is the Vitctoria 9 default skin. Eyes are from Natural Eyes 9 for Genesis 9.
Knittingmommy's LaboratoryPlaying around with a couple of new things. Used Victoria 9's skin, but the eyes textures are from Natural Eyes 9 for Genesis 9 which I'm in love with. Seriously good textures. The figure is one I created using Face Morphs Kit for Genesis 9. I had a lot of fun with that. I started with Victoria 9 and dialed her back to 75% and added in a little bit of VYK Sydney for Genesis 9 at 15% and then adjusted the nose, cheeks, mouth, and brow until I got something I liked.
No thread on Michael 9. Really?Victoria 9 and Michael 9 are WOW!
Ugh... I have to be in a wee economic downturn when the best ones come out. Oh well. I get to look at what you all do with them, that's fun too!
Their eyes are the best eyes of any DAZ characters so far - just my feels/opinion. Love 'em.
Shouldn't both sex promos for G9 become standard?I think it's the same as when poses are showcased for "Victoria 8.1" it doesn't mean you can't use those poses on any Genesis 8.1 female. It just means that they were designed with that character in mind. Likewise with new 9.0 hairstyles and clothing. They might (and probably do) work on both male and female characters, but they were probably designed with a certain body and head shape in mind.

Which "Mimic" are you using?
.dmc files for Mike/Victoria 1-4 and Genesis-Genesis 8 already exist and all appear to work using DAZ Studio 32-bit lip sync.
A .dmc would be very welcome for Genesis 9, though.
I'm using Mimic Pro and Studio 64bit, but I've never obtained a satisfactory lip sync with genesis 1-8 .dmc files provided. I generate a pz2 file using Victoria 4 and then use my program to convert to a Genesis .duf file.

Aiko 9 and Hiro 9?I've really enjoyed every iteration of Aiko since v3. I enjoy that each Aiko is different, to represent the huge variety of styles in anime and jrpgs. In my biased opinion she, along with Victoria is an Aikonic part of the Daz lineup. (Sorry couldn't resist...) Can't wait to see what her next iteration looks like!Mimic PZ2 to Genesis ConverterI have written a stand-alone program to convert PZ2 files generated in Mimic using Victoria 4 (the only figure that I can get to work properly) into files for Genesis, Genesis 2, Genesis 3, Genesis 8 & 8.1 and Genesis 9, in DUF format.
Unfortunately the sound file is not included in the new file and has to be added manually.
There are 32bit and 64bit versions included.
These are Windows only.
No thread on Michael 9. Really?I'm a senior citizen, living on a limited, fixed income. Over recent years I've become more selective on what I buy at DAZ. I've bought a few Pro Packs, and rarely used many of the included items.
I won't buy the Michael 9 or Victoria 9 packs. I'll wait for "Real World" clothes.
No thread on Michael 9. Really?

Are you feeling priced out because you don't already have the things you need to render the images you want to create? or is it a feeling of missing out because this is the 'latest and greatest' and we're somewhat trained to always want that? I'm not asking to be snarky, it's a feeling I have learned to recognize in myself and really examine new purchases before I make them.Tobias said:Oso3D said:
Regarding pricing, just a reminder, again, that all the content is effectively doubled since it easily and natively works for both masculine and feminine figures (plus nonbinary and others)
Here's Victoria 9 with Marty Mane hair ostensibly for Michael 9:
And since I rarely render females that argument is totally irrelavant to me. It is ok for some of us to regret that we are being priced out of this hobby.
