- I tried again to download dForce Guritha Outfit for Genesis 8 Females | 3D Models and 3D Software by Daz 3D this morning and it failed. The log shows:
2020-11-29 06:05:37.294 WARNING: Network Error: C:/Users/Public/Documents/DAZ 3D/InstallManager/Downloads/IM00078541-01_dForceGurithaOutfitforGenesis8Females.zip.{132f4cb9-dcf8-0132-abed-3ef02144aa05}.part :
- I next tried to download the .zip file from my product library and that failed as well. I found this message:
Could not complete download, file size does not match; 2097152 != 478108535.. Temporary file removed.
- I then tried the DIM download and it opened DIM and only my 'Installed' files showed up, all other tabs were empty. I rebooted it and the 529 PS and Legacy file, along with the Guritha Outfit showed up again. I just tried it again, if failed at 3%.
I add myself to the list of folks who have had reports attempted to be closed without a satisfactory resolution, # 349838 and # 338580. Others went immediately into to your 'we will get to it when we will get to it' pile over 16 days ago without a human contact since then.
Daz Team, I have been in a complaint investigation job myself, for medical devices. I understand how things can go crazy and you get the brunt of customer's anger and frustrations. And when new software was installed, it made our jobs worse not better for a long time. (We also had to report to the FDA and foriegn governments on our product failures within specific time frames.)
I also know that if what is being reported, and trends analyzed, and if front end processes are not adjusted, the errors will just keep happening and snowball.
Missing or poor metadata is a major irritation for your customers. I find that older items that never had metadata in PC+, and now have it, is better than new products just released. Can whomever is doing the PC+ metadata train the others?
Missing files, like 'Actors' when a new character is released. How does that happen?
A new character or morph set that causes issues with existing characters.Products meant for one sex, but compatibility set for the other or for none. Example G8M clothing set for G8F is the most common.
I am sure others can think of other common issues they have reported that you could look into to have your QA/QC department to beef up their checks for new products before release.

[Released] Character Converter from Genesis 3 Female to Genesis 8 Female(Now Conv JCMs) [Commercial]It's makin' bad morphs that "errode" the teeth when I adjust the morph sliders.
Does it really require 4.14 to work? I'm using it in 4.11.
Elaboration on the making of bad morphs:
Got a "custom" G3F with lots of morphs dialed upon it, including super big breasts.
I run the script.
The resulting G8F figure looks like a pretty good copy, except for the breasts, which look very different from the original (much smaller). (Also the "neck length" morph did not get converted.)
So I try to fix this by using the breast morph sliders.
The more sliders I use the more the teeth shrink, as if they had been eroded by acid, or aggressive mesh smoothing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My apologies. After further research I have determined that the problem is not Chracter Converter. The prolem is the breast morphs being poor quality (well, at least poor quality in the context of how I use them). I mistakenly thought the breast morphs in question were made by Character Converter. But they were already in my Daz before using Character Converter. They were freebies from "Felldude".
But still, many morphs did not get converted, such as for the breasts and the neck.
I wonder whether there might simply be a limit on the quantity of morphs that Character Converter will convert, and my character simply exceeded the quantity, leaving some morphs beyond the quantity limit un-converted.
No, there is no limit. They do have to be active and non-default for CC to attempt to convert them.
RIP in peace hivewireWell, I had only just signed up to buy the horse racing bundle there a couple months back. It's quite nice although I'm still working on the fits to the DAZ Horse 2 as I couldn't afford the Hive Wire Horse and the additional Hivewire Thoroughbred Horse morph to use the tack.
I was hoping to buy flowers, animals, and birds there but now I guess I will look to buy those at Renderosity some day maybe.
It must be a lot of work servicing those online stores and working through support tickets. Also, it must cost a pretty penny to license dependable and secure online store software.
Good luck to all the Hivewire staff and customers.
How to make morph with Facet Order?Hello
I'm making a script to auto Morphloader pro.
in this daz document page
createMorph() function can only create vertex only
But I want to make morphs with Facet Order.
How to make morph with Facet Order?
Delete multiple bones at once?nope, one bone at a time only.
Even with multiple bones selected i couldnt locate an option to delete multiples, it alwasy just deleted the one "selected"(showing the end points) bone.
No option in property heirarchy, edit menu, or tool settings either.
Yea, it's looking that way. Would be a nice feature update though. lol
it is easier to use the transfer utility with a shirt or something minus the leg bones instead of the base character
or choose shirt option
I don't have a shirt option, just the base default templates. I never bothered w/ G3 -> G8 transfer products.

Auto Muscle Enhancer HD [Commercial]I entered a version of "Armand Yuji" in the It's Raining Men contest.
I upped the image dimensions to 2036 x 2880 (W x H) pixels. Also rendered at SubD level 4 and turned down the vascularity morph I was using to give a more subtle look. Deleted one of the 3 ghost lights (behind the head) since it didn't contribute much to the hair backlighting. The rest used the same settings as from my earlier render. This took about 13 minutes to render in Iray on my MacBook Pro 8-core i9 in CPU only mode.

Delete multiple bones at once? Please tell me there's a way to do this. Used the transfer utility on the Caged Belle skirt (G3F > G8F), but the extra unnecessary bones that get added are causing distortion. I've already deleted a few one by one as you can see, but I can't seem to delete all selected, and there doesn't seem to be a delete selected + all children. Suggestions? Thanks.
Just because the image looks weird, it's currently fit to a posed G8F, but I've hid her so I could focus on the skirt's bones and the distortion.
/edit While I'm an idiot and just realized I could just parent the sucker to G8F's lower abdomen and it works just fine, I'm leaving this question here since I'd still like to know for future reference.
Where are my Face Transfer sliders?Uncheck Save as scene subset, and read the note at the bottom of the dialog. To create a slider morph, you must export it as a morph asset. Basically, a scene subset is not a slider morph, so you have to create it yourself.
Auto Muscle Enhancer HD [Commercial]I understand completely. Just so you know, using Mesh Grabber, D-Former, Node Weight Map Brush and the Export Morph tools I created a poor rendition of a split bicep (also a mirror one for the right arm). Gives the illusion if the lighting and pose are carefully chosen. I am not a sculptor, and the alignment is limited for me by the base figure Mesh. This is about my 6th attempt at it. Powerful tools in DAZ for sure, but not really meant for this level of sculpting! I am still holding out hope for the G8F version also, but making do the best I can in the meantime. It is an adventure of discovery! This quick render is the Baseline G8F with only HD Musculature morphs applied and my morph at 60%.
Sigurd, I like that you can finally see some color in the clothing. Often the clothes get washed out trying to get the skin to look right. May have to pick up that SF skin.
Thanks all, TD
That's really clever, terry! And it's a nice result. I don't recall ever having tried that. I have used a SimTenero product to try to "implant" spheres under the model's skin to simulate each head of the bicep, but I could never achieve a convincing degree of separation. Big props to D Master for pulling this off in the G8M version, and to you for your ingenious adaptation of G8F morphs to the male platform.
Auto Muscle Enhancer HD [Commercial]Thanks for all of this info, terry. Not sure I understand the ins and outs of your techniques, but all that work shows in your results. I was just about to pull the trigger on the gens you recommended, but by the time I calculated the cost of everything else I'd need in addition to G8M AME/ASE, such as G8M head morphs, muscle morphs, etc., it just seems like a really costly endeavor to get a good split bicep. I almost wonder if something satisfactory might be achieved with some sort of custom displacement map made from an anatomically authentic musculature map. By my calculations, by the time I'd be done with a G8M-based AME/ASE-enhanced female, I'd have dumped close to $100 into the effort.

Merging morphs into a new morphIf you have ZBrush or possibly hexagon or anything else where you can quickly export the model.
the process is super easy:
1 apply desired morphs
2 export your model with deformations but NOT with the current resolution
3 dial your morps back
4 reimport the model as new morph.
It takes less than a minute to do all that
in the same way, you can subtract morphs too if you reverse the process.
------------------------------
Method 2 if you don't have Zbrush or if you want to export smoothing modifier(or any other change) as a morph.
1 apply moprphs
2 export your object to OBJ
3 reset moprphs
2 use Morph loader advanced to create morph from exported obj file
* nor really sure but you may need to hide/delete all other objects in the scene to whom those morphs do not apply or that may mess up with the import process but I am not sure if it will maybe it will work just fine.
* exporting smoothing modifier may be a great idea when you need to fix some poke through for your clothes but you don't want to slow down everything toa crawl when Daz is reapplying that smoothing modifier over and over, Or when you are trying to use collision modifier and use to turn colision into morph.
* it would be great if daz developers added an option to export modifiers as morphs simply to improve performance.
Both of these have the drawbacks I mentioned above, which may well be why there isn't a built-in function for the job.
j.cade is Back! And brought the adorable Bette!Tip: Bette comes with a cleavage fixer morph to improve the fit of clothing in the breast area. Sometimes I forget to use it. But when I remember, it works very well.
Auto Muscle Enhancer HD [Commercial]For all that are interested, here is where to find the Transgender morphs I have been using. Then you layer over the G8F body and face character (using the Transfer Utility) on top of it. Be sure to ERC Freeze each ported property individually, then save as a morph asset. Additionally you will need the Genesis 8 UV swap by SloshWerks to get G8F textures correctly onto the G8M.
I have found the Golden Palace for Genesis 8 Male to work reliably.
Hope that helps, TD.

Auto Muscle Enhancer HD [Commercial]I'm not sure if anyone has tried using AME on Leyna, so I gave it a go. AME Body set to 50%, AME Flex Size 50%, AME Muscle Definition 100%, and AME Veins 50%. Snuck in my starter morph parameters, but dialed out Cartoonized. Her outfit is one for G8F and autofitted.
Render straight out of DAZ Studio with none of my usual contrast/tone enhancements.
Leyna for Genesiis 8 Male might be of use for those wanting a quick way to get AME abilities on a female character without a lot of effort. :)
Here's the store link for Leyna:

That's actually a great idea. However, is there a product that allows the use of female genitalia on a G8M-based character for situations such as studio nudes? If so, your idea would have even more merit. Thanks for this suggestion!
Thank you, RenderPretender. I would suspect that there are such products on more mature themed 3D websites. Let us know if you find something that works!

Most-Digital-Creations has a very nice (to this day) V4 prop and textures called Anatomically Correct that can work convincingly with some tweaking. I was hoping for a geograft, though, of female gens for G8M. Still no luck. I'm still deciding whether to buy the G8M versions of ASE and AME and the other tools I'd need to start working with G8M in the absence of the G8F version. That could get pretty pricey just to achieve a realistic split bicep.
There are products that you're looking for that use geografts for G8M. You'll find those in another 3D marketplace that's adult oriented. Perhaps one of those products will work? I'm sort of tempted to try one out and see how Leyna, AME/ASE, and the geograft anatomy work together.
Lee
I've found geograft gens for G8F, but not G8M. Perhaps my search phrase construction in that store's engine is leading me down a blind alley.
Is There any convertor to convert V4 Matts to Genesis 8Texture Transformer doesn't create a perfect copy, the face is changed.
Legacy UV is a perfect UV map.
Yet I have perfect faces. The face ends up wrong if you're using the wrong UV map to transfer, which is most notable with the Genesis 2 figures and all their individual UV maps.
Legacy UV has the same issue (last time I tried) and also brings in more issues when trying to use other geoshells, but whatever works for you.Headshop 11 QuestionsSo, what is the objet test donnnnn?
see the eyeball next to that object? Try clicking that eyeball (to make that object invisible)... is the figure beneath it JUST a Genesis 8 Female character?
It has been so long since I used Head Shop - and the version I used wasn't for G8F. But, what you need to do is take a G8F character, apply the Headshop Morph you created to THAT character, and then apply the skin created by Headshop to that character. There wasn't an object. that was attached to the figure.[Released] Character Converter from Genesis 3 Female to Genesis 8 Female(Now Conv JCMs) [Commercial]It's makin' bad morphs that "errode" the teeth when I adjust the morph sliders.
