Like the others who stated there reasons for not buying scorpion God, I too had no use for it. Remember that the other thing that people here ask to see more of, aside from male stuff and kids, is EVERYDAY CLOTHING, clothing that is practical and relating to real people. Almost all the male stuff I see here, and hell, even at Rendo is usually a bit to stylized for my taste. Hell, I'd even take man-slutware if it was made available to me. This is what I LOVED about David 5's Pro Bundle.

This is why Genesis 2 should have stayed unisex. Genesis has some nice outfits that can go either way, hell even if it was built for a specific gender, there were some articles that looked really great on the opposite. THOSE are the items I buy.

Though, IgnisSerpentus's info of his sales has got me thinking... I have to ask you PA's, out of all the male wear that you do make, which actually sells relatively better? Is it everyday clothing? Specific genre's? Textures? Because if there are some gems in that pile, maybe it would be best to focus of that particular aspect when you make male items. See what that does.

Well, I will say straight up... I will never do everyday clothing. Im totally fantasy geared. To me, that would take all the fun right out of this. I will probably also never do kiddie stuff, either and rarely do things that are frufru or otherwise construed as cute (I feel like Im faking something lol) As anyone can see by my store, Im mainly armor-focused. I also do mostly darker stuff (and when not dark per se, its gritty) When u think of my stuffs, u should think... Erotic, exotic and a little psychotic LOL

As far as male stats go, couldnt say to any degree.... other than the two packs I have (and already did kind of give those stats)

But I can say... sex sells. Better than anything else, hence why there is such a preponderance of it. Though, I spose there are always exceptions.

I didn't buy Scorpion God (or Godspeed, or Serpent Goddess for that matter) not because I don't want guy-stuff (anyone who's paid attention knows I do), but because I use Genesis, and anything as beautifully done as your work does not deserve to be mangled by Autofit. :)

Yeah, I know there are lots of Geni users, which I also take into consideration regarding my sales data. Its kind of why Ive taken the time to look at the tech again, to try to provide some content for it, and so I can get an even better idea. Tho, my gen 4 sales figures haven't really dwindled since Geni released... so theres still a large denomination using gen 4. To be honest, Scorpy god was the first set Ive had in ages that sold below expectation.

And yeah, totally agree lol Auto fit doesn't work that well, esp on things that require extra rigging. Honestly, the best way is to provide an actual conversion for any set. And when I have time, I may be doing some of my stuff for Genesis (providing the returns are decent)

But I wasn't necessarily talking about the ones who use Genesis, but more about the outcry for male stuff that has been prominent in the forum since before Genesis. Its why there is, and hardly has ever been, any male stuff - coz it just doesnt sell well. There are obvious exceptions (Godspeed, as I said, kicked butt lol) but its the general rule.

That was the only reason I didn't get Scorpion God [or the female counterpart for that matter]; it has a loincloth and those just get wrecked by Autofit. I can fix creases in other outfits using ZBrush, but separate rigging is something I don't want to touch for now. I still get almost all the stuff for M4 I see as long as it isn't fetish wear or "gangsta" clothes.

I love Egyptian-themed stuff, and other mythological/historical items too, so I'm really glad to see you're working on Genesis!

Yeah, I had a feeling with those sets it was gonna be like that, since they both had easy pose loin cloths. Where in cases like Eden's flame, it converted to Genesis pretty well using auto fit alone (actually, thats one of the sets Im thinking of later converting over)

And yeah, I do like the new tech.... I mean, there are some things I really dislike about it and arent really easier, but overall, its pretty cool and much easier. Hopefully, the sets coming soon do well. It isnt Egyptian, or mythological really... its more high fantasy.

Edited to add: Of course, no one should buy things they aren't interested in, or otherwise, dont have a use for. But like I said, don't think it was the genre per se, coz it's counterpart did very strongly. It is what it is, tho.... no one has a perfect outcome every time they release. Flops are bound to happen at some point.

As far as M4 goes, yeah, there will definitely be more. Ive found I have a great affinity toward M4 and absolutely love to work with him. Ive also got more Greek stuff planned in the future as well (right now tho, I have a few in progress... including something for Dark Apocalypse, so that will likely come after they are done)

Hm. Interesting thought. I use a mix of different generation figures-- generally I try to use anime morphs (e.g. Hiro/Aiko) to get a similar style with all the figures.

Scorpion God is going to have to wait until I get a payment I'm expecting, then I can get him and post a sample card image. :)

I actually have two different versions of this card game in the works-- one that's kind of contemporary "mahou shojou" (magical girl), the other in a steampunk/victorian theme. The mechanics work the same either way, so the "foe" cards (of which Scorpion King is one) could be used with either set. (Absinthe is already featured on another card, and I'm seriously considering Frostbite for a third. ;) ) No Olympian set planned yet... but I know where to go if I need costumes for that one! ;)

I got into DAZ Studio because I lack the skill to create my own illustrations for these games, had several artists fail to deliver on contracts, and was dissatisfied with the quality and consistency I could get from existing stock art sources, even with heavy modification. Between the surge of creative products like this, the availability of toon shaders like those by BishounenTaurus, and my own experiments with custom cameras and rendering, I feel like I'm finally getting to the point where I'll be able to finish these projects and make them available.

So, a big thanks to IgnisSerpentus for providing so many elements that may help get this project moving again!

(Hm... I do have a Flame Spirit foe that could conceivably be illustrated with the Phoenix....)
