I need Content manager so I can see what I have that was a superior utility I am 61 and need to see the large thumbnaials this I only ever used to batch load if I bought a new computer it is useless to me for everday work I can see this the beginning of the end for many daz users
You mean Daz Central? Adding a grid view is still on the list, and in the meantime you can download thumbnails (at a size set in preferences) from the right-click menu and they will appear in a tool tip whehn you hover the mouse over an item.

Which content library is it DIM is installing to?
And do you actually want to move the applications, e.g. Das Studio and DIM? They are not part of your content library. And if you want to move them you should not move them, but uninstall them and reinstall them on the new location. And for DS, if you have installed using DIM, you should uninstall/reinstall the same way.
And if you have moved your content, you would want to update the manifest files with the new location. Else can't DIM find where the content is.
That's just the problem - I'm not entirely sure. I mean, I'm pretty sure I downloaded Studio directly from the website and then installed it via Central. All I want is to be able to access products in-Studio which I have installed or will install via Central or DIM since I moved My Daz 3D Library to my F: Drive. Right now the few I've put in since then (via Central) have shown up as blank grey icons with yellow exclamation marks. I'm afraid I don't know about 'absolute paths', as Richard mentioned in his first response up above. I've come a long way in the last three years but am still a pretty untechnical boomer, lol.

Right, it's the weekend again so I've finally had a chance to look at this properly. So, to recap, I've moved My Daz 3D Library from my C: Drive to my external F: Drive. Mostly all good, but now I have to work out how to move DIM and then DAZ Central across as well. Richard told me to sort out DIM first, as Cantral uses the same pathways.
Turns out, however, there are several options and I don't really want to mess about with relocating files until I know what I'm doing. Pictured is what I've come across so far. Pic 1 is Daz Content Manager, of course, showing what I've moved to F: Drive so far and what still remains in C: Drive. The other pic shows possible files I should move - or not?. Also, the icons I have pinned to my taskbar for DIM and Cenral have both now whited themselves out, which presumably means their links are already severed somehow.
Would anybody be able to tell me which files I should move and which files I should leave well-alone?
The story of Gnosha CurosineiGnosha decided to rent the small back room at The Lonely Duck, the small tavern owned and managed by the nice elven lady Ilyana Reyqen. The Lonely Duck is located just about one hundred and fifty yards from the tower, so it’s close and still a bit away. He booked the room for tomorrow, and paid twelve silver coins, which also included some cheese and ham sandwiches and refreshing ale. He told all the potential maids and butlers that he would hold his interviews at The Lonely Duck tomorrow, to find the best candidates for the jobs.
After dinner, Gnosha, Aered and Thefvae walk over to the tower, as Gnosha needs to measure things up, to prepare for making drawings. It will be busy days ahead, and he needs to have drawings ready by tomorrow, so Aered can finish the deal with Mr Baro and get the workers hired, the job started and materials ordered. Construction work is always more complicated than it really has to be, so many things to think of and so many small details that can go wrong. Doors need to open without slamming into each other for example, something Ghosha experienced more than once on his travels.
As the Alchemic laboratory had been temporarily set up on floor one, it was packed up and moved down the ground floor. Gnosha said that he planned to let Mr Baro fix the basement and then move the laboratory there, but in the meantime, it was on a table in here on the ground level, just in case it would be needed. Thefvae looked at the laboratory and said that she would love to learn some alchemy one day.
Thefvae and Aered get a quick course in how to use a piece of string and a small ribbon to measure distances, and together they find a way to place three bedrooms and a small washing cabinet on the first floor. As the river flows right outside the tower, Gnosha decided that a rope and a bucket outside the window would be a smart way to easily get water into the washing cabinet. Thefvae asked Gnosha if she could get the bedroom with two windows, the right one, as the windows on the tower were unevenly distributed. Gnosha replied that it was a splendid idea to have Thefvae in the room with more daylight.
After a few hours of intensive measuring and note taking, Gnosha was satisfied with the basic design, and decided to make some drawings. And as the tower has roughly the same dimensions on the second floor, he used the measurements to also draw the servants quarters that would be on the second floor. One thing they would have to wait with was the kitchen, cooking was still something that wasn’t possible in the tower, but Gnosha liked the idea of a central stove, and heating the rooms with the smoke pipes, as they seemed to do up here in the north. But, heating was a secondary problem, and as long as he added that to the drawings, Mr Baro could probably put that in later, at least Gnosha thought he could.

I absolutely hate that DIM is now the default. I have about 3600 products, and in DazCentral, there is an image shown for each. The lack of thumbnails in DIM is stupid beyond belief if it's replacing DazCentral.
Further, spamming us with ads? Really? I close the stupid ad at the bottom, but it just pops back up.
You already got plenty of my money, stop spamming me with ads!
I've never used DAZ Central, but I agree with you 110% on the ads!!!
Maybe eliminating them could be a DAZ+ perk...
We need more asian inspired clothing etc :)Still, I'd like to second the need for more authentic asian wear, regardless of culture. Western asian, eastern asian, central asian.
What I'd love to see for G9 is a full Japanese Kimono, not just these sexy shorties, or traditional Thai/Vietnamese/historical Chinese wear. I don't dare to beg for "Arabic" stuff, because that was scarce for any other figure, too (save for harem pants of course), but even the more "mainstream" parts are practically non-existent for G9. There's not even a Gi out for G9. I don't know what has happened, but for G8, that was out pretty quickly when Mai Lin and Lee came out. We only have some Indian inspired dresses and a few Mongolian inspired things for Ghengis Khan.
And yes, I know, it's barbaric to reduce all of the magnificence of asian cultures to the "mainstream" / stereotypical pieces, but I can also understand that content creators have to balance work hours vs. expected income, and niche stuff doesn't sell well. Still, I think at least some Anime enthusiasts would love some pieces, wouldn't they?

Ha! No - I nearly did write that in error, but no; DAZ Central it is. I'll move onto DIM next in that case. Thank you again. :)

Then Content tab, Content Directory Manager. Don't forget that if you install content with DIM it will store the absolute path (starting with the drive letter) in its list of installed files (the manifests, which it also needs to be able to find): if you kept the zips you can just select things in the installed tab after updating the locations, then use the right-click menu to reisntall using the current paths; otherwise you will either need to edit the paths in the .dsx files directly or risk not uninstalling all of the older if there is an update.
Thank you for your help there, Richard. Mostly sorted out, DAZ Studio is now happily connecting with the new location. However, one holdout appears to be DAZ Central. I've had to install half a dozen new assets via DAZ Central because I'm having trouble with my log in (al completely different problem and already in hand) but those are not installing correctly. What would be the likely installation path for DAZ central installations?

I am already.
Render your buys! ALL TIME Challenges#AnythingGoes
Central Business District is apparently an old enough buy for me that I can't post it in the "Recent Sales" render thread (I apparently picked it up in April), but as I haven't used it yet, this thread is valid instead.
(Yes, I am still dressing centaurs in silly outfits).

Comic - "Charlotte's Magic Life"David R said:
I hope you're not too disappointed, but, except for a short coda, this is about it for "Sophia." Then on to new storylines!
No matter how interesting or compelling the villain, there comes a time when they need to be put aside (at least for a while if not permanently). Many good series have fallen apart because of a refusal to move on from a dynamic villain. Plus, if you find yourself thinking "I can't get rid of this villain... they're the most popular part of the series!", then you've already messed up!
Sophia's been a firecracker of an antagonist, but she's done about everything she can do here unless you want to push this story into psycho-thriller territory, which I believe is far from what you want. I'm ready for new and different storylines and I expect everyone else is too.
Given the title of the series, I'm hoping for a storyline that features Charlotte in a more central role. Something where she's initiating the story beats rather than constantly reacting to other people's problems. Although, she does come off as a bit of a "fixer" so maybe solving/resolving other people's issues is her destined role. Anyway, I'm sure it will be great!
New Year, New Sales Thread: Report Issues Here "Reporting Only"I just checked out (11:38 PM Daylight Central, US) on Firefox on my PC using store credit, and it worked fine for me, no significant delays.

Show us your Daz AI Studio ImagesThe top image is another image that looks fine on first inspection, but it slowly dawns that the bowl is floating and the left figure's left hand is gripping a fistful of noodles and not the bowl as you first think. Then.. 'Why are the noodles on the central table dumped on soggy newspaper & not a plate?'.
Regards,
Richard
Daz pages not loadingI'm in the southern US and nothing for me. I checked all of my browsers Firefox brave chrome edge and on my iPhone safari (phone and home computer are on separate networks). The wishlist, fast grab and anything requiring it to populate a list won't work.. (it did populate my online product library thank goodness) not even any of the categories artists etc .. everything was working fine around 5 or so here central time an hour ahead of DAZ mountain time
Deletion of contentHow did you install that content?
If you used DIM, Daz Central or Connect (install directly from DS) you can use them to uninstall the content.
If you installed it manually then yes, you will need to remove product-related directories yourself.
