Daz Connect Won't install Daz
I presume you are trying to update Studio? You cannot install the update while Studio is running, so then you cannot use Connect to install it. Any other method will do, DIM, Central, or the Standalone exe installer (available from the Product Library, filter on DAZ Studio 4.x Pro)

What are your settings for performance, pixelbuffer etc?
Unsure. Where should I go to find out?
Assuming you can get there, Daz Studio>Preferences, in the Interface tab.
Found it. Now what?
Just curious: I'm having a problem where I can't even open DS. Is there a way to see what my settings are if I can't open DS to see the Preferences settings? I'm trying to do my own detective work while I wait to hear back from DAZ Tech Support.
The file / settings are stored on disk. on macOS it's on ~/Library/Application Support/DAZ 3D/Studio/ (there are a few settings files to look at) On Windows somewhere similiar

This is not a direct consequence of an application update, it should retain settings and for most users does. Are you using a third-party uninstaller tor emove the old version of the application? Are you sure the folders are still in the correct place, with the original name and drive letter?
I can assure you, I'm using nothing but Daz and Daz Central to manage content. No 3rd party installers or otherwise. I have some non-Daz content which I access through the Content Library tab and it's unaffected. All the Daz original content is gone. The files are all still there on the E drive, I just cannot get either Daz or Daz Central to look at them and realise they are downloaded.
I honestly did nothing else than click "update" when Daz Central suggested it, then when I opened Daz... nothing. When this happened before it didn't take me too long to sort, but this time I can see no option but a reinstall on the basis that when I set up the new install it will ask me to set the content directories afresh and should see the existing files. Do you think that won't work?
Is the third party content installed to the same location as the Daz content?
No, as per recommended, it's in a separate directory.
I can't believe I have wasted an entire evening trying to get Daz to recognise content it recognised just a few clicks ago. Judging by the number of people who are reporting the same problem (there's been plenty since the last update) this is not an isolated problem. I've uninstalled everything and calling it a night. My content is still safe on the separate drive so maybe after a fresh reinstall I'll have some success. I also note that I was completely unable to delete on of the Daz directories - I had to run a chkdsk and the repair the drive before it would complete the uninstall. This is one very grabby, and very untidy application.
Which directory? One in the application folder? Are you sure DS had finished closing?

New! Novica & Forum Members Tips & Product Reviews Pt 14Urgent heads up- note the expiration time on one of the main promos is in 20 minutes. It did a weird morning time, aka 7am Central time. You can pick up some items for 72 percent off without having to buy ten things. I always assume new promos are daz midnight and don't know when this one came up, I don't hit the store everyday when it changes over, like I used to. But I got a popup saying my cart was expiring in 20 minutes, and sure enough checked the promo.
Daz site is throwing server errors all over the place, took eight minutes to post this. The cart kept telling me to verify my address using Paypal, nothing wrong with my address and no way to do that on the cart page. So now promo ends in TWELVE MINUTES. Hurry if you want some items 72 percent off. I like the Ergou hair products. Some on sale.

Daz to C4D (R24) and Maxon MovesThe latest via Daz Central - 1.3.0
The morphs don't work at all for me in R24, only the head rotation.
Hence, the reason I installed R23 to see if I could get it to work at all.
In R23, there's no eye rotation option with the imported face capture data and the mouth stays open as mentioned.
Hopefully this will be resolved as it has great potential.
Daz Studio don't open, error in log-fileI use Daz Studio 4.15.0.2 since months without any problems until yesterday. When I try to open it, it shows the opening screen and then it appears only as button in the task bar. The Background is white and clicking on it does nothing.
Update:
I deleted my old Installation of Daz Studio and Daz Central, all Folders with 'Daz' in it, Registry entries.and started from scratch. New download of Daz Central, new download of Daz Studio thru Daz Central and now it opens again with the default design. Though there is still a lot to do to get my customisation back, I'm really happy that I got it back to open. No idea what caused the issue...

Headshop Not Showing in Edit MenuInstallation issues usually caused by attempting to install with either DIM or DAZ Central. Remedy: please read!!!!!! the README that has detailed installation guide.
HeadShop comes with its own installer, there are also videos of how to install: https://youtu.be/5N-8KE4BCbo and also https://youtu.be/QACNeyStmT0
If still no luck, email tech support at [email protected]
