AI Movies From A Talented Source
"Natasha Lyonne is making her feature-length directorial debut with an AI-powered film titled Uncanny Valley, a project from the AI-focused studio Asteria. The film, a sci-fi comedy written by Lyonne and Brit Marling, uses traditional filmmaking alongside cutting-edge AI tools to create an augmented reality video game world. The technology will be used for things like 'set extensions' and creating the immersive open-world game, rather than being an entirely AI-generated movie."
P.S. She is the star of the very good TV series' "Russian Doll" and "Poker Face" and a very intelligent, creative person. Also, "uncanny valley" describes the eerie feeling or sense of revulsion people experience when encountering humanoid objects or robots that look almost, but not entirely, like real humans.
So. Can we adapt this to Carrara animations? Is Wendy already doing this?

But it's not even NATO. It's OTAN (According to France ;) ).
I agree about the pillory, stockade & stocks issue. The whole point of language is to let people know what you mean. Using the wrong word entirely means that people get the wrong end of the stick, or end up on the wrong side of the pointed log wall.

With most of the news agencies they continually refer to the "T" as Turtle instead of Tortoise, and the "N" and "A" as "North American" instead of "National Association (of)"... They start going on about what is basically an organization created by tortoises seeking to improve their communities through charity work and late night card games (with some heavy drinking involved) as though it were some sort of quasi-military organization protecting Europe from the forces of evil or something...
Which really annoys most of the turtles I know because most of them belong to the NOTV (National Organization of Turtle Volunteers) which you virtually never hear about and actually is out there protecting the entire world from evil organizations and various space aliens...
Their founder, Gamera recently mentioned something about their frustrations with this situation in an interview on Good Morning America. In general if you get a little beer or scotch in a turtle and there's no shutting them up about that.
I generally don't know a lot of Tortoises, so I don't get to hear the other side of the argument and the one tortoise I still keep in touch with is a Galapagos Tortoise and he's like 145 years old and senile as hell...
He still keeps talking about the Titanic like it happened last week... in his defense his brother was a crewman onboard and White Star Lines never officially acknowledged his sacrifice by staying below decks with the other electrical engineers to keep the lights on till the ship's last moments.
I'm not even sure how he knows that, but I think an otter who worked with his brother once told him that.
But yeah... The National Association of Tortoise Organizations (which if you think about it is just a weird moniker, like a hat on a hat) NATO does good work and definitely keeps the liquor industry in business, but it's no NOTV, and Turtles do have a understandable reason for being annoyed by how mainstream media overlooks their works.Even scientific organizations hardly acknowledged the recent near miss by the football stadium sized (UEFA class 4 sized) celestial object "2024-MK" was the work of Gamera who flew out into space to divert it from earth... not only that, but if it weren't for the work of thousands of turtles who volunteer their time tracking celestial objects, we might have woken up one morning to a very big surprise.
Sorry, I guess I've been hanging around with turtles too much...
Which in itself is a little weird, because the turtles around here are mostly Box Turtles who bear many superficial similarities to Tortoises but are not tortoises, and every time they get drunk and start going on about this whole thing, most of the other patrons at the bar are like "Shut up, you are a tortoise, you jerk"... which really gets them mad... if you really want to see a turtle throw hands, call them a tortoise... granted even if they start to rush you, you can usually casually walk away and get another drink and use the restroom by the time they get halfway towards you, but it's still awkward.Anyway... I seem to have forgotten my point... something about football stadium sizes? Not even sure if I was talking about real footballs or those brown rugby balls... ?
Whatever...
Enjoy this timeline (not sure which one this is) and till the next time I find my way back here, have a great time and stay safe, hugs and puppies and all that rubbish.Bye!
The 'Eat Your Food and Like It' Complaint Thread..."reality" shows, bleah. I have enough "reality" to deal with in everyday life, give me good escapist adventure and sports instead.
I remember watching All Star Wrestling every week when I was growing up In Milwaukee. "Sixty minutes of the finest mat action!" It was actually broadcast form Minneapolis, but our local independent UHF channel (remember those?) picked it up. Yeah it was all "show" but it was at least entertaining and at times comical. Much better than today's "reality" rubbish". Nothing was more fun than watching our local favourite from South Milwaukee, The Crusher go at it with mysterious mask wearing Dr. X, Mad Dog Vachon, or "Handsome" Harley Race.
"Ohhhh Yeahhhhhh!" (the Crusher's signature line).

Llola Lane’s RENDER A MONTH Challenge 2025 (ALL are welcome to join)The shape I have chosen is the rectangle, and it's front and center (sort of :o) in 'Morning routine':
Every morning it’s the same routine: Lacey wakes up, makes herself a cup of coffee and spend a bit of time revealing in the smell of hot coffee.
Victoria find it both cute and funny, not that she would ever explain to Lacey the why of the later.
The truth is, as a non-believer in coffee, she thinks that coffee smells nice but doesn't taste great.
So, each time she saw Lacey’s doing her morning routine, she could not avoid imagining that the first step of that routine was saturating Lacey’s nose’s smell receptors, to make her brain unable to process the taste of coffee.
Not that she was willing to test her theory, of course, especially because in the end, it didn’t matter: after all, coffee did put a smile on both her faces.

As usual, paid products from Daz3D are linked in the gallery. One was bought on Rendersoty, created by Nelmi.

Spent the better part of the afternoon cleaning the 75 gal fish tanks. WAFM. Tonight was release the bugs night. I bought a tub of Ladybugs locally a week ago. Been holding them captive in the outdoor fridge. Tonight was a perfect night to set them free. Our potted patio plants are auto watered but gave them an extra misting and released the Ladybugs just minutes ago. Getting the strays off my arms was a challenge and a half. Ants protect/farm Aphids and Ladybugs eat Ahids. Bet I dream about bug wars tonight..
Are you trying to get rid of the aphids that way? - Wouldn't even know where to buy ladybugs here, but usually, they come to spend the winter in our window frames by late autumn anyways. One of the disadvantages of windows opening towards the outside, at least if you do actually want to open them now and then, without tons of sleepy (and quite smelly) ladybugs falling out. But it's probably good for the little critters. Weird how they get along with the huge spideys that also love to nest in there ... Maybe those bug wars you spoke of are happening silently, right under my nose? Hope not ...
Had some terrible, terrible dreams these past few nights, my wife also. Of walking through civil war cities full of bodies, and of my dead mum sort of coming back to life in my childhood home. I'll spare you the gruesome details. There's something oppressive in the air here atm. It was supposed to rain, finally, but it didn't, despite the heavy clouds. Maybe that's what's messing with our heads. And with the soul, because it worries me so much when that happens. I do so hope we're not in for another drought (sp?) period.

While technically within the range of what's academically considered to be the mediaeval period, the term "mediaeval" is extremely broad to the point of being unhelpful - it covers roughly a thousand years between 500 and 1500, and a vast range of culture and technology. (You might broadly understand the English of the late Middle Ages as if it were a thick dialect, but the English of the Early Middle Ages would be nearly impenetrable).
Even then, it's often widely misused for a wider range than even that - I would say that in common usage, the term might cover a good two or three centuries wider in each direction.
I would prefer to think of the adoption of early firearms in European history as part of the Renaissance, rather than part of the Middle Ages, simply because it's a much more specific descriptor.
Well, I do know that there used to be a castle with 7 meter (23 feet) thick walls in my hometown, the order of building it was given around 1400 AD, and the reason was that cannons became more common in sieges. Early cannons had a very short range, but were still devestating enough to destroy regular castle walls. It took almost 200 years before the star shaped bastion forts got invented, so for a long while, that castle was considered the best possible defense. The castle was sadly demolished in the 18th century, so I never got to see it with my own eyes, only part of the foundations when they were excavated in the eighties. Bricks were actually a hot commodity when the castle was demolished, many were re-used to build houses locally, but many were also sold to other towns for whatever they wanted to build. If you ever wonder why Amsterdam has moats but doesn't have citywalls: the same happened there, citywalls were demolished, the bricks were sold to other cities to cover some debts.

Star Trek Builders Unite 8: THE REBOOTi am making the request that anyone with a freebie on the mega list post them at vanishing point 3d . he has a list of free items with a star trek section
Star Trek Builders Unite 8: THE REBOOTHi, I am Sfariah D. I love Star Trek. Just finished watching Strange New Worlds Episode 2 from season 3. Trelane was great. I think his dad has a trickster like voice. Or at least that is how it seems to me. I think the dad's voice actor took a role of a trickster in a certain tv show.
I'm introducing myself to the Star Trek Builders unite group. I will come around later for request maybe?

Celebrity Look-a-Likes for 3D figures Part 4Sophie Star AKA Sophie Thatcher now available on RenderHub
Medieval hairstyles for Male and female figures?when I said country I actually mean within Europe and the mediterranean
there still was a fair variety depending on location, the British Isles as they are called now, somewhat behind and mostly copying France as part of the ongoing rivalry and wars for example
the Scots, Welsh and English definitely did not try parroting each other having their own styles
hair style among men often was a sign of one's allegiances
Workflow for making static clothing mesh poseable?I personally dislike the A pose, I prefer a star pose for rigging sort of a cross between G3 and G8
when I used to have smart content it was simply a matter of baking rotations to get that shape
then doing the same after reposing the clothes and change scene identification
now I can no longer do that last step
I used this on G9 too
it avoids those weird armpit chest side stretches
I can sort of still do it but it's much more work
the JCMs etc, I cannot help with that
