The use of a seemingly AI description here is confusing. In the last line it mentions snow and foliage and also mentions a city environment which doesn't seem to be part of the product. I can't find anything about an included HDRI or city background. . https://www.daz3d.com/central-ice-skating-park

"Step into a winter wonderland with the Central Ice Skating Park, a meticulously designed 3D environment perfect for your seasonal scenes. Nestled in the heart of a bustling city, this modern ice rink captures the serene beauty of winter with a touch of urban flair.

The park features a sleek, covered seating area with contemporary architectural details, including exposed steel beams and large windows that allow the natural beauty of the surroundings to shine through. The ice rink itself is enclosed by a sturdy glass barrier, offering both safety and an unobstructed view of the skating action. Whether you're setting the stage for a festive holiday scene or a quiet moment of reflection in the park, the Central Ice Skating Park provides the perfect backdrop.

The changing seasons are reflected in the vivid autumn foliage and snow-covered grounds, making this versatile scene ideal for both fall and winter renders.'

The file list does include one hdr file.

How did you find a file list before purchasing? The HDRI is listed as snowy cemetery! Weird.

I figured the background was more of a "serving suggestion" and that it was meant to be inspired by ones found in the city, although I've seen reasonably similar ones in the suburban community parks around here. I more thought the trees were a weird choice... by the time it's consistently cold enough to flood a skating rink and get it to hold up, there are not going to be that many colored leaves still on the trees. But whatever, I can replace the trees.

I am pretty certain that there is no trees included in the product. To me it looks like only the skating area and the area right next to it.

Yeah, description is misleading, then (sorry, brain didn't process all of original post... it's been a day), though I still stand by the fact that a skating rink is not "ideal" for fall renders. Even here in MN we have to go to indoor rinks until actual winter. Snowfall =/= ability to outdoor skate.

I suspect the language is a bit "poetic" rather than AI: if you look carefully, you can see a small snowy base and snowballs in the overhead view.

That's ammunition for snowball fights, or for picking off the skaters as they go by. Combination speed-skating and dodgeball.

@Marty3D I installed successfully with DIM, when it was first released, but something seems to have gone wrong. Like you said, there are no download options in the Product Library. Even the Product page in the store doesn't show any Install Types. I wonder if it is even available to download in DIM now, since you can't see it in Daz Central. Maybe @Totte can ask Daz about the problem.

OK, maybe something got screwed up with the update, I'll check!

It is in my products library in my accounts library that is the thing. If I go through website it shows the product with no download options or anything.

The product does not show up on my list through Daz Central though nothing at all.

I recommend to install using DIM (but DazCentral should also work and see it, otherwise file a ticket to customer support (I have no powers over how things are working in the store)

    Hi Totte,

I purchased Alienator Pro 2 but there is nothing in my account?

I have the order receipt, go into my order, it is there on the product list but there is nothing to download at all. I use Daz Central as well, and there is nothing at all coming through Daz Central either?

    Weird.

It should install with DIM or DazCentral, but I prefer DIM (do not install Alienator Pro 2 with DazConnect as it does not understand how Connect install things and gets very lost

Check that it is in your product library in your accounts page.

  • Having problems with a re-install of Daz

Hi Richard! Thank you for replying. No, everything is uninstalled atm. I have always installed Daz on the C-disc. But I did (probably something foolish) change the base location, in Daz Central, to the Daz folder (in my pc's program folder, still on the C-disc). I have had some problems with this, so I have re-installed both DIM and Daz Central a couple of times. Always to the C-disc. Could there possibly be some old settings in the system folder or something? What should the base location be in Daz Central? That's the only thing I have tampered with. I had to re-install Daz a couple of weeks ago and since then my newly purchased content wouldn't not show up in Daz. I have no external discs attached to my PC. Daz is on my startup SSD, I have another internal disc, but that is just a storage. With the id D. I have used Daz for many years and I have not experienced this before. For the time being Daz, DIM and Daz Central is unstalled.

  • Having problems with a re-install of Daz

Hi people! I have a problem, I get a dialogue box in DIM that I haven't seen before. I'm unable to do a new install of Daz. It has worked flawless before and I wonder if there is a solution to this predicament of mine. I have always installed Daz on my C-drive (startup disc). This is very curious. It may have to do with something I did in Daz Central. I changed the base location, in settings. I did it because my newly bought content didn't show in my smart tab, it didn't show in the content tab either (and yes, I have tried to re-import my database in Daz). I'm very thankful for some guidance, perhaps you are willing to guide me to a thread about this. I have attached a screen dump of the dialogue pop-up in DIM. Thank you!
