There's a new Vin Diesel lookalike over on the Other Site called "the Merc M4". I've managed to convert him to G1M/G2M/G3M, now I'm just awaiting permission to upload it.
ohhhhh that would be neat!
He's finally here in all his V8-powered glory. For best results you'll need the M4 legacy shapes for G1M/G2M/G3M and/or the late great D3D's GenX set.

UPDATE: Added ShareCG link.
Could always be closer, but I didn't spend too much time on this so I'm quite happy with the result. Thanks again for the morph!
Export Blender Clothing and Import into DAZIf you exported a figure to use as a guide in Blender make sure you use the same preset in the options dialogue for both export and import, otherwise the scales may not match or the alignment may be different (e.g. the clothing might be laying flat on the ground).
The Transfer Utility ignores any adjustments made with the DS transforms, it just goes for the zeroed properties of the target object - if it's too large than that will be how it fits.

Why does the process not work on solid objects? If anything it should be easier, you don't have any bone adjustments to worry about.
I have no idea why it does not work.
I use Morph Loader Pro to create the morph. Then when I move the morph slider control, it makes the entire object shrink or grow, rather than applying the shape change.
When that happens to me, it's usually because I forgot to set the proper scale(same scale as import) in the morph loader import window. You gotta click on show individual settings, then the scale box will show.

Does he squash into the Trump-morph for the base Klingon figure, too?
Lol, no that's gonna take some postwork to show.
[Released] ManFriday's Mesh Grabber [Commercial]Can't you save the first morph on the feet, then begin again on the face? I think that way they would be separate morphs, and you just delete or ignore the face morph (turn it to 0), and begin on a new face morph.
Grasp Helper for Genesis 8 and Genesis 8.1 - ideas?A few tips for more realistic results
for the Gloves they are just at Base resolution level
Convert the Gloves to Sub D level at high resolution
Also add an smoothing modifier to the Gloves (smoothing iterations 2 is enough)
For the Gloves Thickness in the surface tab hit parameters and untick "Use Limits"
i have i scene right now with some heavy grabbing going on and i needed to set gloves thickness to 500%
For the "Substitute" you may want to use more than 10 for smoothing iterations.
overall with the right settings this product gives the best squezzing effects i have seen so far.
almost on pair with what you see in Blender with soft body physics activated.
a few suggestion for future updates maybe:
1: save the effect as an morph
2: offset the gloves for even more realistic squezing effect.
as it is now the hand need to be closer to the effected area for it to look real.
it needs to "sink in" better
3: be able to save optimizations for the gloves and the substitute
could someone please suggest a skin?I had two characters I had worked on in Poser based on these two chars, now I want to transfer them over/remake them on genesis 8.
The second one I never got right though...
I am looking for the best skin for them but I'm getting overwhelmed with all the options. I probably also need good facial hair.

Updates - Daz to BlenderDaz To Blender Version 2.3.9
Morph Updates- Created a controller that allows morphs that are being manipulated to also still be independently controlled (only for visible, non-hidden morphs)
- By default, the morph prefix is removed, but an option exist if you would like to disable it
Morph Optimizations- Deleted morphs that shouldn't have been included on the children objects (i.e. morphs that use a logic of checking if the figure has the bone, an alias, or the morph itself on the children object)
- Deleted morphs that don't exist in Daz but still export
General Updates- Multiply the 2nd Stage Drivers by zero (if first stage does not exist)
- Solved an issue where some versions of 2.83 and 2.92 fail
- Consolidated the settings under General Settings and renamed to Import Settings
- Allow users to disable the viewport changes for the display settings
- Optimizations made to check if bone is weighted before adding it as included mesh
Reminder: If your run into any issues, please reach out through GitHub at https://github.com/daz3d/DazToBlender/issues
Updates - Daz to Cinema 4DDaz To Cinema 4D Version 1.3.0
Morph Updates:-
Users are able to update the morph options before export
-
Added a Morph Controller group which stores controllers of every morph that is not hidden in Daz and organized by similar groups in Daz
-
Proper support for FACs morphs
-
Morphs that control bones translations and rotations are now being set up automatically
-
-
Convert morphs to delta morphs
-
This will significantly reduce file sizes and memory usage
-
-
General morph optimizations
-
Deleted morphs that shouldn't have been included on the children objects (i.e. morphs that use a logic of checking if the figure has the bone, an alias, or the morph itself on the children object)
-
Support for Move By Maxon Facial Capture Data:- Automatically connect the morphs, the head rotations, and eye rotations all with a few clicks
General Bridge Updates:- Plugin Location has been moved -- new menu named “Daz 3D”
- Under There you will find DazToC4D and the new tool Connect Genesis 8.1 to Move By Maxon
- Fixed the bug where Auto-IK will fail if you close the DazToC4D before running it
- Removed the necessity of the default language to be set to English
- Stored paths are relative for easier file sharing
- This means if you collect textures in the Daz export you could share the export with another computer if you save it in the same locations (\Documents\DAZ 3D\Bridges\Daz to Cinema 4D)
- Fixed a bug that it will not pick up animation was detected when the first frame the skeleton was at zero position and rotation
Still in Progress:- Updates to Redshift are still pending
- Added Redshift Wrapper
- Better support for Poses with Joint Corrections
- Can now export out a pose and have the Orientation fixed and reapply the pose.
- Reapplying the pose can cause issues stillBrow Inner Up-Down Right

Export Blender Clothing and Import into DAZHi, I'm having problems exporting clothing from Blender to Daz.
In Blender I have a plane which I've created a tanktop from.
Now when simulated it falls nice over the figure. Then I export this to an .obj file.
When I import it in Daz I do see the tanktop (way larger), but I cannot fit it to my Genesis 8.
Even with the Transfer utlity it won't fit to my genesis.
Does anyone suspects what this could be? Or have a solid tutorial on exporting this to Daz?
Thanks in advance.
eyeballs popping out of my custom morphs headYou may do better to move the eyeballs as a whole in the morph, then adjust rigging to shape. You could, though, pose them to fit before doing any ERC Freeze and then nclude the pose adjustments when doing the ERC Freeze.

My concern would be what impact overclocking the VRAM may have on its longevity. VRAM seems to be one of the failure points found after mining long periods of time. I do not have stats for this, but it does seem logical to me that the VRAM would break down before the GPU core will. Also, numerous launch GPUs had issues with memory, like "Space Invader" glitch. This glitch was aptly named as the artifacts often looked like sprites from old classic.Plus the GDDR6X used in the 3090s runs pretty hot out of the box. It has been suggested this is why Ampere does not make full use of the 6X speed. While the Kingpin may be better designed for cooling it, VRAM cooling is often an afterthought in many GPU designs. In some cases you can even find cards that have some or even all of their VRAM not making contact with the cooler.I can understand the concern with the VRAM temperatures on some 3090 models. Even the Nvidia Founder's Edition cards had inadequate VRAM cooling. I've taken apart the EVGA 3090 FTW3 Ultra cards, the Asus 3090 Strix cards, and the MSI Gaming X Trio and Suprim cards. All of them had thermal pads for the rear VRAM to transfer heat elsewhere, to a metal back plate, and what appeared to be adequate cooling for the front VRAM. They also cooled the front VRAM with the GPU heatsink. The EVGA 3090 FTW3 cards had a thermal sensor for the front and rear VRAM to monitor its temeprature. I've also seen some DIY solutions using either large heatsinks and thermal adhesive pads or active water cooling backplates to cool the rear of RTX 3090 cards.
On the 3090 Kingpin Hybrid the front VRAM is cooled by the GPU cooling system with copper plates and thermal pads. The rear side VRAM has thermal pads and a metal back plate. The 3090 Kingpin has multiple thermal sensors for most components and the rear side VRAM thermal sensor rarely showed temperatures above 60C in rendering or gaming benchmarks. The front side VRAM next to the GPU was 40-50C under load. The VRAM temps dropped below 40C at idle.
The manufacturer sells a water cooled 3090 Kingpin model and also a conversion kit to convert the hybrid model to open loop water cooling. That also may help with VRAM temperatures because it removes heat from the GPU and less heat transfers to the rear side of the card to heat the rear VRAM.
One other thing I noticed is that larger time reductions in this Iray 3D render benchmark don't always lead to larger reductions in render time actual larger renders at higher resolution with multiple objects.
Victoria 5/G1F to G8F Pose Transfer ScriptI surprised myself yesterday. I totted up the number of Rendo downloads of my various little pose transfer scripts. There are 13 at present (and one in the pipeline for G1F to V4), and the number of downloads had reached 4933 at the point I totted them up yesterday. Quite, quite amazing. I am simply amazed that there was such a demand for them. I can understand that anyone may want poses to be transferrable to avoid wasting assets, but the number of people with the older figures either in active use or being held inactive until a suitable point has simply amazed me.
Regards,
Richard.
eyeballs popping out of my custom morphs headI am tring to fix an eye problem I am having with a custom morph who's eyes origins i had to move to get the placed correctely in the skull to match my design. However when I zero out the pose the eyes come out making this wacky abomination. I have tried to adjust rigging to shape and i just bought and tried shaper rigger plus and it seems to just undo a lot of my morphs and does not solve the eye problem. Does anyone have a solution to this?

File -> Save As -> Wearable preset with the main figure selected. If you also want to save the morph and/or textures, you can also use Character preset under the same menu.
In Poser saving a figure back to the figure library creates a new CR2 that has everything included in the CR2, the figure, any conforming items, props and poses, to do the same thing in DS you save as a scene subset.

I'm sorry to be posting in here again...I'm such a newbie to daz studio.
I want to ask a few questions and request some things. First off, I want to make my own character with Genesis 8. In Poser I saved it to the library once it was finished with hair and other attachments so I didn't have to redo everything.
How can I do something like this in Daz? How do I save a figure I've made to the library?

One of the chars I made in Genesis 2 had to have custom sculpting done in Blender to the face. In Poser, I would export the head as an OBJ and then load it as a morph target back onto the head. What is the equivelant of this?
Edit -> Morph Loader Pro. You'll need to export the entire body with no attachments, at base resolution (under Parameters -> General -> Mesh Resolution, set Resolution Level to Base), and, if you're editing G8/G8.1, you'll also need to delete the eyelashes (and tear for 8.1).
Is there any way to change the runtime location of the main DAZ folder? It's in a really annoying to get to place, plus I have all my poser stuff on an external hardrive because I don't want to fill my main drive up with content.
Edit -> Preferences, Content tab, Content Directory Manager. Go to Daz Studio Formats and either add a new directory or change the existing one, depending on your needs.
What is the best render settings for iRay for good, mostly grainless images?
There's no one answer to that question; the best render settings will depend on your scene, but increasing time and/or samples will let the render run longer for better convergence.
Is there a way to put female morphs on males and vice versa?
Yes, although I don't remember how. SickleYield has a tutorial for it on DeviantArt, I believe. My most recent experiments with doing that have resulted in failure for reasons I haven't been able to discern, so that's the best answer I can give for now.
And finally my request...What are the best products for making my own face? Something like this is what I'm looking for https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-2-head-morph-resource-kit
https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-8-male-head-morphs and https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-8-female-head-morphs are essential, and https://www.daz3d.com/200-plus-head-and-face-morphs-bundle-for-genesis-8-female-s-and-male-s gives you a lot more options.

I just need as many dials as possible to edit the face because I like my characters to be perfect.
How do I make solid object morphs in Blender?Suppose I want o make a simple Daz Studio morph that twists a cube, such as the default cube of Blender.
How can I do this?
I see lots of tutorials on the internet for making morphs for Daz human figures in Blender. But that process does not work on solid objects.
Can someone point me to that super rare tutorial for making Daz morphs for a simple solid object in Blender?
