The arms up and down is being handled with a morph, not a joint rotation. A morph movces the vertices along a straight line from the starting postion to the final position, it doesn't rotate around a centre as the joint does.

Yes, iris or, in looking around I find it may be referred to as a cornea bulge morph. I know there was one at sharecg but didn't find it on first search. I know that several characters came with one - it would be mentioned in the product description if it does. Not in the Surface Pane, look in the Parameters Pane ... possibly somewhere under Actor, head, etc. I'll have to load in a figure and see if I can find one ;-)

Regarding Geoshells

• These can work on Genesis 8.1 with some manual tweaks. Genesis 8.1 splits the "Torso" skin surface into two different surfaces: "Body" and "Head". So the process to make it work will be as follows:

  • Apply the Geoshell to both figures.

Custom Maps:

• Custom maps I'm not sure what you mean. Genesis 8.1 has a compatible UV version of Genesis 8, so skins from Gen 8 will be applied without issues to Genesis 8.1. However, Genesis 8.1 skins cannot be used on Genesis 8 if they use 8.1 Base UVs.

I was indeed trying to make a 8.1 morph work on 8.0, but since you made the genesis 8 to 8.1 bridge look so easy, look like I won't need it anymore !

There is an outfit sold by "chungdan" called, "MG Outfit for Genesis 8 and 8.1 Females." Does anyone know what models/morphs are use in the promotion? The bodies look curvy, and the breasts look realistic. Pics attached below: Link to page here.

The issue with the eyes is common to the figures - it's an Iray thing. Similar to the haircap mesh - again there are layers of mesh very close to each other.

You might already have a an iris bulge morph in your collection [check over on the Parameters Tab]. Several characters come with one. There are also a few free ones available possibly over at sharecg.

Also the lighting plays a big role in how the eyes will appear. Iray needs lots of light. Note that the 'create light' features work better with 3Delight. Iray can make use of mesh lights. A sphere for example, cutout geometry at 0.0001, emission 'white' [that turns it on, black turns it off], set to the k* value of maybe 500. Do not put it between camera and figure though or a there may be a snowball of white pixels ... set it off to the side of or higher and behind the camera.

I know how to make them compatible toward genesis 8.1, but it would take so much time for all of them

Has anyone faced such a problem? I transfer morphs from 8 models to 8.1 through .... Everything rises normally, but it becomes unrealistic to move my eyes. Even closing them is problematic. Everything else is fine. And so any model when transferring.

Hello all, I've been trying to convert my genesis 8.1 morph to genesis 8.0 but without any success.

I tried to export it as an OBJ and just import it back on my figure with the morph loader option, but I lose a lot of details since it only allow subd0 from what I've seen.

Is there a way to completly transfer my genesis 8.1 to a genesis 8.0 figure ? I have a lot of things that I've made for genesis 8.0 and I don't have the courage to redo everything to work properly on genesis 8.1 since the change are so little.

With the one-piece morph, have you tried using the Head Split D-Former?  I've followed the benalive tutorial and it separates the head and body surprisingly well...     

Oh, yes, I've done that with another RawArt character, Raw Pete. It's just a pain, plus the process essentially downsamples the HD, and you can't get that detail back if you want it. The tutorial is a little difficult to follow in parts -- the teeny type Studio interface coupled with a few places where he figures you can follow along with what he's doing on screen and he stops talking -- but it's workable. Like I say, it's just a pain to need to do that.

I mean, I've certainly bought some like that in the past as presents - but then again, I've also bought an Agent Provocateur Whitney set (and I think also did beg request HH to do something like that :D). You can ditch the corsets etc. in the Mystiques and get a really nice normal-but-sexy kind of lingerie. I'm doing a render with the Mystique 2 stockings on the HD Athletic body right now - the body's usually a nightmare with a ton of air between the legs and the stockings, and the stockings are following the body like a dream. 

OTOH, I appreciate the different-ness of these shoes. There's a lot of vanilla heel options and most of them should work just fine with the Mystique stockings. I will confess to being an inveterate kitbasher, though.

I've looked elsewhere (on both "R" sites) and the choice is poor.

Well, the word you used was "realistic" which given the current connotations of garter belts did not lead me to think of conservative. Mystique 1 is less strappy and frankly, just typing lingerie in the search field should still bring you a bunch of reasonable options from reputable vendors, making me echo FSMCDesigns. HH's releases stand out, and that's what is so great about them in addition to their extremely high quality, both visual and technical.

I do know how to type in a search. What I consider a good option might be different to you - as I said, it is just my opinion. I'm not suggestng that HH should stop producing his specialities - just requesting a more conventional look - even as a one-off. It is the high quality that prompted me to ask.

(I have been vaguely tempted to ask about that, since they have a dA page. However, that feels ... rude, somehow.) On the other hand, that price, though...

And RawArt has Veer in today's sales. (Wonder why vendors have been doing South/West Asian guys lately?Jazz, Nasiri, Adeeb, Rahul, Veer, all in this calendar year and all but one outside of a bundle release. The closest thing to that before now was the guys in and around Sanjay's bundle -- who were, by definition, related to a bundle.) On the one hand, Veer looks interesting -- on the other, he's a one-piece morph, which is what RawArt likes to do, so you can't get the face or body alone. It does look like maybe his skin is a bit more gently textured. And, of course, he does have a dingus.
