G8 or G9 version of a dress like this?
Looks good!felis said:Had a bit of time.
This is what it looks like. Still need to make some additions. It is currently for G8F, but I plan to port it to G9 also. The dress is short, so I will make a morph to pull it a little further down.

HS Viola hair parenting issuesHere is a morph I made for the HS Viola Hair R G9 object. It is called Move Away From Eye. When you unzip the attached file, you will find a barbult folder. Place that folder (with its contents) into the data\Hair Studio\HS Viola Hair G9\HS Viola Hair R G9\Morphs folder in your Content Library. You will find the morph in Actor/Adjust when the HS Viola Hair R G9 object is selected in the Scene pane. Here is the hair on Joan 9 with the morph dialed in.

I'm not sure why the wheels have come off lately, but I have hardly created anything this whole summer. (That didn't stop me buying stuff, or even from testing new stuff - just never composing a real scene and never being happy with anything.) I'm dusting off this neglected thread to post this basic product testing render as I try to get back in the saddle.
I think it's "summer." To me, it's always the least productive season.
Hope you get back to rendering soon!

Nice test! I got the hair too, so I'm happy to see it works nicely.
AN ASIAN CHARACTER....While not an 8.1 character but a morph package that works for G8 and G8.1 but requires G8M and G8F products. Could these help to fine tune an otherwise acceptable Asian character?

A very beautiful render paulawp (marahzen)! Nice to see some of my recent products being used and hopefully helping you get inspired! Also a very beatiful character. Added Milly to my wishist.

Figure arm and leg bends - Are these getting worse?I felt so...the crooks of the elbows and knees, worse of some characters.
I did buy some morph sets recommended by Lee Moon as the renders he posts don't have the problem as much I had been having it.
Strange hand deformation Genesis 9Hey Crosswind, I tried all that as you suggested, and still the hands deform, I'm starting to think its a bug in the morph, because when I load the character she has deformed fingers, however when I remove the character morph, everything works great.
Morphs to improve collarbones, neck detail, knee detail, groin/leg folds?I've been running 3D renders through AI to see how the AI 'improves' them, and I noticed a few things that the AI always seems to add that do actually improve the 3D renders. Unfortunately, I don't think we have the necessary morphs to recreate these details, but I thought I'd ask in case I've overlooked them.
- The collarbones and neck of semi-realistic AI images are always very cleanly defined, but even with the G9 collarbone morph set to 1.000, it's not very prominent. Are there any morph sets that really emphasize the collarbone and other neck details that do not use the sternocleidomastoid muscles?
- The knees of AI figures are usually pretty defined as well, and it often makes each knee look different. Our knee detail morphs primarily just extend them out a bit and are symmetrical.
- AI is also good at adding the skin folds where the thighs meet the groin area, better defining the overall 'V' shape of the lower hip and where the legs begin. Our figures appear to have nothing like this, only some small genital fold morphs that are barely visible when the figure is wearing even a small thong or briefs.
Any information about products that could give similar results would be appreciated. Thanks very much.

Strange hand deformation Genesis 9Or maybe the vendor didn't do Adjust Rigging to Shape after making the character's morphs... Better post a screenshot.
You can try: after posing the figure, with the figure selected, go to: Edit > Figure > Rigging > Adjust Rigging to Shape...
Also, in Parameters pane, click the gear icon on the right of the body morph property of the character, Parameter Settings, check if it's ERC Freezed.
Released : Wet And Tanned Skins For Genesis 8.1 Bundle (Commercial)First thank you so much for creating that amazing product! And now I have ouccered with the problem which others had before. When I apply the Genesis 8 Female Genitalia for my own Genesis 8.1 Female and then apply G81WT !!!!Transfer To GenitaliaF the Genitalia was black So I wonder if there any ways to fix this?
How to edit duf file to remove phantom Face Transfer pathTo be clear, you are using the Face Transfer save - one of the three goes in the free version, or from a paid license? If not then that is your fix.
Matching clothing dimensions/rig to model without parentingThe UI is meant to be changeable (as it is in Blender) - you caan try other options via WIndow>Workspace>Select layout or just open panes through Window>Panes(Tabs) or right-click in an empty area of a pane groups tab area and drage them around the screen or into docking areas.
You could simply apply a Rigidity group to the whole garment, to block all morph projection (Geometry Editor tool, switch to Vertex mode, right-click>Geometry Selection>Select All, right-click>Geometry Assignment>Create Rigidity Group from Selected as I recall). You could alternatively block specific morphs by creating a new property with the same name (get the name of the morph by clicking the gear icon on its slider>Parameter Settings; create a blocking morph by right-click in the Parameters pane and enabling Edit Mode, then right-click>Create New Property and give it the name of the morph you want to block).

Figure arm and leg bends - Are these getting worse? As others said, you probably installed a faulty character that has hidden morphs engaging when they shouldnt. Since it's the most likely issue, you need to rule that out by showing hidden properties in Parameters tab and then putting your figure into a pose that gives you the issue. Then you need to scroll through the Current Active in the Parameters to find the culprit morph in the list.
Once found, you can uninstall the character it belongs to.Figure arm and leg bends - Are these getting worse?jdavison67 said:
It's a genesis 8 figure. I'm noticing lots of issue with poses. hip creases in strang ways. I don't remeber hading to do this much fixing before...
Check your active hidden morphs; it's definitely not unknown for a character to go out without their JCMs being correctly linked to their morph, causing them to activate on all characters.
If so, uninstall them (or manually fix it, if you know how), then put in a customer support ticket to get it fixed.
(I tend to put in a few reports a year, even once or twice for core characters, but the way I work and the stuff I do makes it more normal that I'll spot these than many people).
Smooth chest shape for G9I ran into some problems when mixing body shapes for a new character, so naturally I immediately set out to fix this in the most overkill manner available.
I present to you: A chest smoothing morph for G9. Comes with specific support for 116 masc characters & shapes at the time of writing.

Download over on my blog, and do show me all the beautiful twinks you make with it.

Doesn't saving a new preset with the adjusted path work?
Yep. But the "Unable to locate..." messages still pop up when the character is loading. It bugs me. Why the tool doesn't offer a simple "save to" popup so that the generated mats don't go to a temp directory is puzzling. Of course, going forward, I now save the material map jpgs to my runtime/texture directory when I save the character (but I still have to go to the Surfaces" tab and correct the location before saving. Kludgy.
If you chnage the maps and save (as a character preset if that is what you use) then use that instead of the preset created by the Face Transfer save does that still give the errors? If so I would be interested to know what the problem sections of the .duf file are.
