- Posed Genesis 3/8 Figure transfer to Blender.
- Props used in conjunction with Characters transfer with added support (use #accessory before import).
- Environments and Props transfer to Blender.
- With added support, Genesis and Genesis 2 Characters also transfer. They transfer over without rigging and as Env/Prop, so if you wish to pose them in Blender after transfer, they need to be used at Joint Level or with a rig made by the user. You could also pose them before transfer if you know you won’t need to make adjustments.
- Daz Animals transfer to Blender with basic support (without rigging and as Env/Prop; if you wish to pose them in Blender after transfer, they need to be used at Joint Level or with a rig made by the user).
The Daz to Blender Bridge works with Blender versions 2.80 to 2.90. Supported render engines are
Eevee & Cycles. Use the ‘HD’ Version of the script, as that’s compatible with Blender 2.80 and
above. We’re currently working on a version to be compatible with Blenders 2.79 and below.
- Strand-based Hair will not successfully transfer to Blender.
- Michael and Victoria 4 Content is not able to transfer to Blender using the bridge.
The bridge isn’t the only way you can use Daz Characters in Blender — your other option is to
purchase Daz Characters that have the Blender file format, download the manual files and upload
them directly into Blender. You can also export certain content out of Studio as .obj or .fbx
files for use in third party software.
- It’s up to you and your needs! Daz Poses transfer over to Blender successfully, so you can import your character in the middle of the action or continue to pose after transfer.
- If you’re transferring Genesis or Genesis 2 Content, it’s advisable you pose and texture your character before transfer, as those characters import as a Prop/without rigging.
This is a one-way transfer from Daz to Blender. So once you transfer your content from Studio to
Blender, you can’t transfer it back; you can, however, make changes to content in Daz Studio
before you transfer, and can always readjust in Studio and transfer again.
- Daz products have to be transferred using the Blender Bridge. Once in Blender, you can combine any assets you already have with your Daz products.
- To learn how to transfer assets, please see the FAQ - “How do I use the Blender Bridge”.
1. In Daz Central you can see all compatible assets for this bridge, you are also able to use
the software filter in the store to see all available assets for the Daz to Blender bridge.
