You missed the joke. Gilligans Island...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cfR7qxtgCgY
I know the joke. I actually watched Gilligan's Island when it was originally broadcast. While I have no living siblings and therefore no nieces or nephews of the teenaged variety, I have friends who have teenaged children. Go anywhere with them is a study in resisting torture. I have to cotinually fight the urge to strangle them each time they as that fateful question. Just keep repeating: "...murder is punishable by death in this state...murder is punishable by death in this state...on second thought, I'd rather die than listen to one of them whine one more time..."
My four teenagers are no problem to travel with. We just returned from our annual visit to my folks, which is nine hours each way by car, eating on the road with two pit stops. Every other year we go to my Wife's folks across the country by air. Little Drama either way...
EDIT: however, I occasionally have problems with other people's teenagers on Scout trips. Reminding them that I'm not obligated to put up with them has always resolved any issue...
they were rafting, then a earthquake sent them to a land of the lost?
where dinos and sleestak roam?
Syndication, DVD or original broadcast?
original, with working pylons. dad fell in one and uncle jack arrived.
Contemplating rendering a Sleestak...
Maybe it was a complaint from, like PayPal or Visa something and DAZ got really scared and decided to play it extra safe.
I thought that was more pre-teens....
For teens...
Can I drive? (And THAT would explain how they ended up on the island)
I don't want to be here...
*stick in earbuds*....ignore the apocolypse...
...I do notice that the promo art for Amazing Skins for Belle 6 has already been changed.
So will some of thje promo art for YT5 Julie be changed as well? Last I noticed, she's still in her undies in the base figure promos..
The Land of the Lost cast reunion was one of my personal highlights of the San Diego Comic Con this year. :)
"Mommy's alright, Daddy's alright, they just seem a little weird"
But the kids have mysteriously disappeared and now the police are checking the basement and the media trucks are all parked on the front lawn!
"Surrender! Surrender!"
...now you will let my friends go, or do I make beeeeeg BADA BOOOOM?
you met Marshal, Wil, and Holly?
LOL
But how about the park ranger, Marshal Willenholly?
David Gerold? the tribbles writer?
The same.
And the author of "The Man Who Folded Himself", one of the strangest time-travel novels I've ever read.
So..while this topic's here.. has anyone figured/but in order, the theoretical "Age ranges" of the "teen characters"?
Young Teans Justin/Julie
Teen Josie/Jayden
Belle/Brodie
And I guess Ysabeau (and how's that pronounced, anyway)
I'd say: Iz - a - bo
Pretty sure Ysabeau is supposed to be a young adult, not a teen (though there's that one promo pic in the bundle that had people wondering).
To me, Josie and Jayden look like they are in the 16-ish range. Without mods like 'growing up' for G2F/M, I would say they can do +/- a year or so on either side, i.e. 14-18 or so. Can't speak to the others. I have Brodie but haven't played with him to the extent I have with Jayden and Josie.
I dont know if they will be changed. I remade all my images the exact day I'be been asked to do so, which is a request I understand. This may be why the Amazing skins did not vanish too long. Here in France nobody amongst the people I asked saw bad intentions in my images, neither on belle version nor on the bundle. I know that I have to respect the interpretation of an international audience so if some cultures find this shocking, it is better to change everything. When you create skin shaders this is always a bit sad to hide skins, but I hope this time I have reached a reasonable comprise. I had no bad intentions, I'm sorry of my initial images hurted some people, and next time I'll remember to take care about that.
Don't worry about it...it's the general craziness of being human showing up.
Amen to that! You should not have had to do that, there was nothing wrong with them, and besides, how can potential customers make a decision if they can't see your product?
You are kind to apologize, but it's wearying that everybody feels like they need to apologize for something that was not bad in the first place.
Personal opinion, of course. But there was nothing wrong with any of those promo images and I think V3D should not feel guilty or ashamed in any way. Has anybody SEEN the gallery lately? Even the most daring undie-pics in the store are mild by comparison!
In my runtime, Josie is a 47 year-old chain smoking mother of two with 28 body piercings. Belle is pushing 52, has a USMC tattoo that "mostly" stays hidden and a "hot mama" tattoo that should but never does, chews tobacco, and basejumps into giant holes in the ground, then rock-climbs her way out. On weekends when she's not being shot out of a cannon, that is.
Justin and Julie are both pushing 38. Justin fractured his ulna, calls it his "old war wound from the days in The Agency", but really it was when he lost an arm wrestling challenge from Aiko. In any event, he can't breakdance anymore, but still does swordswallowing, so he's certainly not a beta male. Julie is a true "Alpha girl", has taken up the daring and dangerous activity of "mesh slingshotting", flirts with pot-bellied truckers, and drinks only the best whiskey while smoking Padrones and listening to the "Cigar Dave" radio show (all libations and litations bought by the truckers, no doubt).
Yes, my imagination is fertile and David is a wimp compared to these kids!
