hey guys..
here's some early previews of Sprawl3,rendered in Poser
first render is of the museum, the other taken from an ice cream shop on the esplanade
these are still very early wip, surfaces are still being tweaked and a lot of the street details/props are yet to be added,
more pics coming soon.....
thanks

next street over from the museum...
Looking awesome, but that's your middle name ;-)
Thats Grand Theft Auto 5 right?
Those look awsome Stefan. I cannot imagine how you manage keeping track of everything
Hey Stoneman
Looking good!
I suppose we will be able to swap out the trees (or make them invisible).
Looking good!
More pics when you can!
OMG, I need that ice cream shop! I've been looking for one. And the area around it is perfect. The rest of the set looks fantastic too.
yes, each tree is a separate prop
I want this! So need a good urban background. Good work stonemason.
Oh God, Finally!
A real DownTown!
Will there be a new bundle, This looks awesome.

..."Pre Wishlisted".
Love the stylised Geisha painting on the side of the building undergoing renovation (hmmmm, my namesake's graffiti...heh) .
The "Big City" has just become bigger.
Will this include individual building props like in US2?
Very Nice!!!! Kinda reminds me of my home town San Francisco at the Embarcadero off Market. Now where can I find a copy of the Ferry Bldg.
Amen!! Beautiful work Stefan. In fact, I like your rendition of MoMA better than the real thing. :coolsmirk:

Stoney's got my vote!!
Want!!!
As always, an excellent design. Have always admired your work Stonemason.
thanks guys!
yes, each building is a seperate prop(it currently has around 50 buildings)..& a few of them have opening doors and basic interiors too
Oh, can't wait to buy this. I also can't wait for your sci-fi crew quarters you showed a preview of a while ago. That was cool! =-)

...oooh, nice.
hi,I always work with Poser and DAZ studio in mind, the only exception are the two winter scenes(winter ruins and winter terrains)..both of which were created as an extension of making shaders in shader mixer.
so each or my sets comes in both a Poser version and a DAZ Studio version,(for Vue users I'd recommend using Poser to export to Vue)
Sprawl3 will also feature some advanced shader effects that wont carry through to other software, mainly the road & terrain shaders, which, in an effort to avoid obvious tiling have been created using blender nodes, but it should look good with just the road or terrain tiles if your exporting to Vue.
displacement is used sparringly in this one,in a set this large I need to pick and choose very carefully which shader fx to use on different surfaces in an effort to keep render times acceptable, I feel window reflections are more important than displacements,so the majority of the set is bump mapped with grayscale images,I also avoid normal mapping in DS as I've been told it's not 100% working as one would expect.
I might try and pick Octane up soon and test Sprawl3 in it,I know they use Sprawl2 quite a bit in the promos of Octane and it looks pretty cool
thanks
Stefan
the Geisha graffiti is a single decal prop too,so it's easily removed if people don't want it,
...it stays for me as I see it as KK's tag that this is her turf and oppos beware. She spent many years in Kyoto where she learned more than just the combat arts.
I like it.
Ohh my word!! One really great setting for the big city!! And including daylight/nightlight versions is perfect!!
:O
