      <description><![CDATA[<p><span>After installing 4.12 I can&#39;t load &quot;OOT Alice Wet and Dry Hair&quot; it says file not found. I&#39;ve tried re-installing from DIM but no difference. If i load 4.11 it loads no problem.</span><br />

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m using an iMac.&nbsp; I read that I&#39;m supposed to go to Documents--&gt;DAZ3D--&gt;Studio--&gt;My Library (see image).</p>

<p>In My Library, I have two subfolders, Presets and Scenes.</p>

<p>When I unzip my file, I get the following (see second image).</p>

<p>Do I add the Content folder into My Library?</p>

<p>And do I leave the Manifest.dsx and Supllmenet.dsx alone?</p>

<p>After using Daz for years it still surprises me to say the least. If I put&nbsp;more than one camera in a scene (Camera 1 and Default Camera) and&nbsp;try and set one of the cameras for one dimension (say 1:1) and the other for (16:9), Why is it that BOTH cameras then have the same dimension that I just changed for the one camera. Or is the viewport not tied to the camera dimension setting for individual cameras like I was hoping they should be or am I missing something here with a camera setting? I even tried adding a third camera to the scene and when I have one of the cameras selected in the scene tab and set the dimensions for it over in the (Dimension Preset (Global)) drop down of the (Render Settings) tab all three of my cameras then wind up having the same dimension. I can&#39;t believe this is how the devlopers meant to design the product. You have more than one camera you should be able to select individual dimensions for each camera.&nbsp; Please excuse me if this has been adressed before. I tried looking through the forums for a topic like this and came away empty from my search.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I have an HP Elitebook 8440p laptop. When I rediscovered Daz in 2015, I had close to no knowledge of 3D rendering. One of the main things I didn&rsquo;t know is that it&rsquo;s difficult to do 3D rendering on basic laptops, and when I rendered my first image, my entire computer shut down. I took it back to the used computer store I bought it from and that&rsquo;s when I found out from a computer technician working there that if I wanted to do a lot of 3D rendering&nbsp;I would have to consider purchasing a more powerful laptop or a desktop computer. I didn&rsquo;t have the money to purchase a new computer, and all he could do for me is upgrade my HP Elitebook 8440p from 4 GB of RAM to 16 GB of RAM.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Ever since then, I&rsquo;ve been able to render images (<a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/gallery/users/164254">as you can see here</a>), but I&rsquo;d like to create a large gallery of renders on my personal website. There are still some drawbacks to rendering images on a laptop that was never meant for 3D rendering that I would like to overcome with an affordable computer, either a laptop or desktop pc, better suited for it. An example of this drawback is when I load&nbsp;<a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/mesozoic-badlands">Mesozoic Badlands</a> from Alessandro_AM and LMX3D and attempt to render it, my entire computer freezes and I have to restart it.</p>

<p>Daz&rsquo;s new dForce physics engine can&rsquo;t work with my HP Elitebook 8440p either. When I attempt to simulate cloth, a window pops up that says &ldquo;Could not find a valid OpenCL device&rdquo;. I&rsquo;ve read through <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/206951/could-not-find-a-valid-opencl-device-dforce-issue">this thread</a> to find out how to solve this problem. But I&rsquo;m still unsure of what my computer needs for the dForce physics engine to work.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Now that tax season is here, I would like to purchase a new computer, but I&rsquo;m on a budget. I&rsquo;m looking for a desktop computer or laptop that&rsquo;s not much more than 650 dollars that will allow me to do large, epic-scale renders without slowing my computer down too much. <strong>Does anyone know of any affordable computers I could consider purchasing? What computers, a laptop or a desktop pc, have all of Daz Studio&rsquo;s <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.daz3d.com/daz_studio">system requirements</a> and is around or under 650 dollars?</strong>&nbsp;</p>

<p>I considered purchasing the Acer Aspire E 15 E5-575G-57D4 because it&#39;s an affordable gaming laptop with an NVIDIA GeForce 940MX graphics processor. On this&nbsp;products page at amazon.com, I read that it can be upgraded with 32GB of RAM. What would be the advantages of upgrading this with 32 GB of RAM? Will this shorten my rendering time?</p>

<p>As you can probably tell from what I&rsquo;ve typed here, I&rsquo;m not the most tech-savvy person in the world. But I thought it would be best for me to ask these questions to those who are more experienced with 3D rendering than I am. I&rsquo;ll appreciate your help.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello,</p>

<p>I am having some issues with my Viewport View while trying to make simple moves of characters or camera positions or pretty much anything scene related. Im doing this in normal viewing mode, not in rendering or preview.</p>

<p>Problem starts when I add a third character into the scene so I&#39;m thinking its resource related. Rendering times are ok. My pc is pretty robust. Nvidia 10080TI, 64gb ddr ram, 8 core Intel CPU.</p>

<p>Is there anyway adjustments I can make to help smooth this up? I have the preview mode as best in settings. It gets really anoying when trying to pose characters.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I spent months on creating a custo character and movements. I saved the movements as an aniblock that works just fine for any new (default) character. It used to work for my custom character. Now I see the clothing moves, but the chracter is stuck on a t-pose. Moreover, the animblock is now working with arms stretched out. Here&#39;s what I did before:</p>

<p>1. I created the animation and saved it as aniblock</p>

<p>2. I baked the animaiton to studio keyfrmaes to tweak a few things in KeyMate (transitions between different aniblocks had to be smoothened).</p>

<p>3. I deleted keyframes in Keymate, but original aniblocks are still in place. It resulted in aniblock working only for character clothing and the character stuck in t-pose.</p>

<p>4. I deleted all aniblocks fro the timeline to start over and dragged them back on the timeline again. The result is still the same: the clothing moves, the character won&#39;t. (see picture)</p>

<p>Any ideas?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>So I switched from my 5 and a half year old MacBook Pro to a brand new Lenovo ThinkPad Workstation. (I tried a new MacBook Pro, but I did not like Catalina at all.) Lucky for me, I have been keeping my content on an external hard drive for a few years, ever since I lost more than one hard drive in an earlier MacBook - to this day, I still don&#39;t know why that machine kept dying, and neither does Apple. Before the move, I copied all my content to a brand new (and bigger) external hard drive. Downloaded DIM, set up the directories, used it to download Daz, set up the directories, there&#39;s my content.</p>

<p>Except there&#39;s extra broken/empty icons showing in Daz for stuff I bought at other places. The actual icons are there, too, but I have these extras that are useless and in fact if I try to double click to load them, give me an error. Does anyone know why I have them and better how to get rid of them?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>How do I find out what is keeping the yTranslate on the hip to stay at a negative value? (solved)</p>

<p><em>edit: n/m I figured it out. It was the Torso and Legs length dials that were setting the Hip Y to a negative value.&nbsp; All good. Setting Torso and Legs length to 0 restored the raw value of yTranslate back to zero.&nbsp;</em></p>

<p>If I alt left click yTranslate on the hip, it doesn&#39;t return to the default of zero.&nbsp; That means something is influencing it (I think). How do I find out what is influencing and setting it to a value of -3.64?&nbsp; &nbsp;I restored the figure to it&#39;s default pose, yet the value remains the same.&nbsp;</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hey, guys, I have a question.<br />
I use a laptop to design.<br />
As soon as the scene is finished, I send it to a GPU workstation.<br />
Since the graphics card is a gti 1080ti and the vram is limited, I bought scene optimizer <a href="https://www.daz3d.com/scene-optimizer" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://www.daz3d.com/scene-optimizer</a>. On my laptop I can quickly adjust the size and reduce the required vram significantly.</p>

<p>NOW to my question, if you save the scene and load it again on my gpu workstation, it won&#39;t find the textures. How can I make sure that my gpu workstation finds them.<br />
I save the folder with the reduced textures on the desktop. The folder is called runtime.<br />
If I load the folder onto the desktop of my gpu workstation, it will still not recognize the textures when loading. Do any of you have an idea how i can import the reduced textures back into daz3d at the gpu workstation?</p>

<p>Unfortunately the conversion on the workstation directly into scene optimizer does not work, because the cpu power is very low and it takes a very long time...</p>

<p>If I click on the Warrior Queen Dress, you can see that the model is wearinig it.</p>

<p>I also purchased the dress textures.&nbsp; If I try to drag one,m say Dress Saphire, nothing happens.</p>

<p>Am I doing something wrong here?</p>

<p>I&#39;ve enclosed a screenshot of what I&#39;m looking at.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>Hi, I&#39;m having an issue with my genesis 3 character when I load an animation for him. After the animation is loaded, I reposition my character so it fits with the props positions I have in the scene. But when I play the animation, the character resets to its initial position. Only frame 0 keeps the new position. How can I propagate the new position for the rest of the frames?</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>My problem with this is simple; when i apply the full morph of Lana to a Genesis 8 Female- she does not come out like she should. The simple expectation for buying content here is this; I buy a figure and load the morph or character, I expect that the facial structure of which I was convinced to buy the model on, comes through 95% of the way. I did submit a ticket to resolve this as I wanted to talk to the vendor, but its been 5 days without help.</p>

<p>the gray image is a screen shot. her face is shorter and lips a little weird. Tried messing with the facial length, but again, I shouldn&#39;t have to make a dozen small tweaks to get the shape that I <em>bought</em> and was sold on. The color image is from the product page- i&#39;m uploading it to show the reference, nothing more. I don&#39;t own it. Notice the proportions of the head length, nose and cheek between the two.</p>

<p>To Belladzines; is there something I&#39;m missing here? There are no hidden morphs or any &#39;current&#39; morphs applied other than Lana&#39;s. And no Non-zero morphs either.</p>

<p>Thanks to all that can shed some light on this. Also- 4/5 days without a decent response in tickets shows lack luster customer service.</p>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;ve read through a few previous posts on this problem, one going back to 2014, but I just can&#39;t solve it. Rendering in 3DL I&#39;ve had this problem with both my own G2F characters when I&#39;ve used&nbsp;Skin Builder or Amazing&nbsp;Skins on them - ie: the skin renders stripy -&nbsp;but I&#39;ve also had&nbsp;it with some of the Generation 6 Daz characters, but I was always able to solve it by altering the Skin SSS or opting for an alternate skin. In the past it&#39;s usually only been on one character, but in a current scene I have two characters out of 5 whose skins are rendering striped I&#39;ve been totally unable to render correctly despite a gazillion changes. After failing yesterday I reloaded the scene&nbsp;today, made one skin change on one character then did a full render and this time 3&nbsp;of the 5 characters&nbsp;rendered without bodies so all I had of them was outfits, hair, eyes, teeth and nails, while a 4th rendered flat black! I exited without saving, reloaded and managed to get the sins rendering again, but two of the characters still end up with striped skin regardless of what I try. I finally checked the forums out as I just can&#39;t get rid of the stripes, and a minor consensus is that reducing the character&#39;s shading rate is a fix, but when I tried it I ended up with even more stipes than previously. <em>So is there anybody out there who had had this problem and found a solid fix?</em> I don&#39;t want people guessing as that can end in a lot of wasted time when the guesses don&#39;t work.<br />

Another problem I&#39;ve had with added&nbsp;skins is that I&#39;ve often found that when changing a pose the torso skin reverts back to it&#39;s default (not the arms or anything else), but is there another fix besides redoing the skin?<br />

      <description><![CDATA[<p>This is probably beating a dead horse, but I can&#39;t figure out how to export geometry out of DS and then re-import it. This is mostly for decimator treated objects, like high poly buildings etc.</p>

<p>When I export as FBX, then I lose all location data. Everything imports at the origin upon re-import, but has the original materials still applied.<br />
When I export as OBJ, then I lose the material of the individual objects, but their locations come&nbsp;up correct.</p>

<p>Doing both and then copying the FBX surfaces to the OBJ objects is just too time consuming.</p>

<p>Any advise please?</p>
