What happened to the Reality plugin for Daz Studio?

Hi. I am trying to improve my renders in Daz Studio so they look more like the renders I do in Poser. I am assuming the Reality plugin will provide better rendering. Unfortunately, the plugin is no longer sold on the DAZ site. I confirmed this with the sales people on the phone. They did not know why it wasn't sold here anymore. Does anyone know why the Reality plugin is no longer for sale at DAZ? Also, do you have to use special materials or will Reality render scenes better as is?

    DAZ tried to work with the developer to continue to sell it on our site. We were not able to reach an agreement. The developer has continued to develop it but sells it on another site. I don't know were. Sorry.

    Yes, it is sold at Renderostity http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/reality-2-for-daz-studio/92598
    But be aware that it does not support v4.5 yet, as that the new RCs do not support older plugins.

    Hello.

    I just wanted to let everybody know that Reality 2.5, with compatibility for Studio 4.5, is done and it will be available once Studio 4.5 will be released officially. Studio 4.5 is, at this time, beta software.

    The 2.5 update will be free to all users of Reality 2.x.

    I loaded up the DS4 RC2 64-bit, and my DAZ store copy of Reality 2 refused to work with it. Sounds like I'm not the only one.

    As far as I understand, the update will be released when the official DS4.5 is available, not the RC.

    I figured something like that was the situation, so I wasn't upset -- just curious.
