    You and me both!  Though I did notice the detective stuff's bundle wasn't put in there as well as the individual items....

    I did the math. If they had included the bundle, it would have been about 93¢ less than buying all three individually. And considering they didn't have to put these on sale, I'm not going to quibble about a buck. (I had everything else, as they were free when they first came out...)

    As stated by others before, (you, perhaps?) Daz isn't likely to make a big deal about those being unencrypted now. But it does sound like they are paying attention to this thread. I really want the trench coat. With this sale, I'll probably get all three from the detective bundle.

    Works for me now, I grabbed three of the items that looked useful to me, plus managed to final use up my DO PC+ coupon, which I normally use in the first few days of the month.

    Yes, thank you, I meant if there was an option to make DAZ Connect downloaded items to be in a standard runtime structure. Sometimes I need access to the product folder and it can only be done inside DAZ Studio with the "browse to file location". The cloud folders make it hard to tell from each other.

    Can live without it, but since I noticed yesterday my latest purchase downloadedwith DAZ Connect in a standard runtime structure instead of cloud folders, I wondered if there was a way to do it, or if it was just a result of the mess I got myself into.

    Connect items will always go to the Cloud folder, that's how it works. I'm not sure it could place a product in the regular content directory even if the data was misconfigured. Are you sure you hadn't previously installed the item manually or via DIM?

    No, I used DAZ Connect, I rarely use DIM anymore. It downloaded to the "My Daz Connect Library" but in a regular runtime structure, not in a cloud folder as the rest of my Connect directory. But I will take from your answer it is not a normal behaviour or option, so I`ll leave it there. I just erased all the files and redownloaded my whole runtime during the night. It works now.

    I guess the big unknown is what they will do with Genesis 4 when it arrives. I suspect the base will remain unencrypted, since it is likely to be free, but maybe V8 and M8 will be DRM products.

    Depends how much acceptance there is; new users might be using Connect, not realising that it supports DRM products. Once it's on your system, you don't know something is, so it makes no difference.

    It's a matter of attrition, eventually there will be enough that are unaware/don't care, so  that those still here who do fall into the minority, and DIM can be retired; Daz have said DIM will survive only as long as enough use it.

    So whilst they could be, I don't think Daz has enough support for Connect, or at least enough apathy about it having DRM at this stage; but I've been wrong before - frequently.

    How nice of Daz to make it easy for me to not spend my money here. I like the concept of a themed bundle that's not a base figure Pro or Starter bundle. But I'm not buying anything that's Encrypted Daz Connect until a year after it's released. My New Year's Resolution may be easier to keep than I was anticipating! lol

    OMG. I would have liked to buy some items of this bundle, but apparently Daz doesn't want to sell them.

    I actually had the Astra suit and texute set in my shopping cart before seeing they were encrypted. My credit card is currently writing daz a thank you card for encrypting everything today.

    Well, that's it now.

    Between more and more iRay-only stuff and now this it's getting easier and easier just to close the browser and walk away. For various reasons I'm not updating to 4.9 until I get a new machine which will still be a while so can't use it anyway.

    Wow, and I thought the only update I would need to do to my encrypted items script is to remove the items that are no longer encrypted. Script updated to reflect today's state. Let me know if I missed anything.

    I went to rendo the other day, after a similar release; wasn't intending buying, but I did; so cash i had available i spent elsewhere, now not available for Daz.

    Yeah, it looked like a nice bundle, but I will stand on my principles and ignore that it even exists now that I can.
